Hi,

I have noticed the Braille input does not work while composing a message in Gmail app. After switching to the Braille input mode through the roter, nothing happens when I start brailletyping.

Otherwise I find this app pretty accessible and convenient to use and really want Brailletyping to work.

Any workaround?

Thanks.

Okay, upgraded from iPad OS 13.4.1 yesterday. Earlier BSI worked just fine but after this update it is like most of the time the wrong characters are not entered correctly. Is it just me? Am I doing anything wrong+ Still works on my phone and worked on my iPad before the update.

Hello,Does anyone else have problems with the braille screen input?I didn't have too much trouble but there was always a few bugs with this. First of all, anyone who uses it will notice that when you type, it don't most of the time interpret your input correctly. This can be very frustrating when someone like me who has used braille all my life pretty much should not havethis problem.

Hello! I am a TVI (Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments) and I am also legally blind myself. I am an iOS user and rely on either Zoom or VoiceOver for iOS access. I recently introduced an iPad with a braille display with input keys to one my students - a fourth grader who is a fluent braille reader. She has been accessing her favorite books in Read2Go using the iPad + ALVA BC640 braille display.

I have been having trouble with my Braillient recently because of &dating my phone to iOs 10. Whn it is paired, the US code is now UEB, but sometimes, the code gets wonky and completely changes. A comma turns into a dot 6, and many other changes happen. Bullets are now the"e celled.
Help would <wry much be apreciated,
Mitchell

Hello,

I am having a few issues with braille on the latest version of the Mac operating system. I want to see if others are experiencing these issues before I send them to Apple Accessibility.

Hello everyone,
I've been scouring the site and I've seen plenty of people talk about the panning issues present on iOS 16.5. My question is, are these issues present on the iPad as well? I'm about to get one and I'm wondering if this will be the case there.
Thanks!

Hello. My name is Jessica. I am 17 years old and I live in Canada in the province of BC. I am blind and I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6. I use VoiceOver. I am wondering if you could develop some apps for me and other people who are blind or visually impaired and who use Apple products? If you can not, then do you know someone who can?

Hi, Guys.
I am trying to get the hang of how to fully and actively use a Braille display with my iPhone. Up till now I've only been using the display to read content on the iPhone and have been using BSI to input text. Now that I have an NLS eReader I want to get the hang of using the physical keyboard.

As I understand it, VO handles how the Braille is seen according to how things are set under the Braille option. I am set for both 8-dot Braille output and input.

Hi everyone,

I recently connected my iPhone to a BrailleNote Touch Plus display. However, after disconnecting the display, I encountered an issue with the on-screen keyboard. The regular letters are no longer appearing when I try to type. The only input option I can use is the Braille screen input.

I have already tried restarting the device, removing it from Bluetooth settings, and removing it from VoiceOver Braille settings, but the problem still persists.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Good day. I have a client that received an Orbit writer so she could use a perkins style keyboard to input to her computer. She is now saying the keyboard is too small. Are there any other devices that would offer a perkins style keyboard without a braille display that are larger than the orbit writer? Thanks.

Hello all-
I have been reading a bit the past few days about solutions to convert Music braille to print notation. I have come across Braille music compiler [BMC]. Has anybody used this on their mac with success?
Also where do I find the download link for it? The developer 's GitHub is rather obtuse. Thanks for any comments.

hi guys.
i hope you're all keeping safe and well.
I just wanted to post to this forum to ask whether anyone has had any success with pairing the braille note touch with the macbook air?
The reason i'm asking is due to the fact that I am able to pair my braille note touch with my mac however, i am unable to navigate through content such as documents using the standard thumb keys.
Does anyone know whether this is a problem associated with the mac or the braille note itself?

Good morning to all, I am a happy owner of a Brazilian VarioUltra of Baum. I wrote about it in Portuguese and unfortunately I don't think I can shed by limitations on my part.

If someone wants to venture out, the text is here: http://www.blogtecnovisao.com/2017/01/review-da-linha-braille-varioultra-da-baum/

Hello
1. In earlier releases of iOS I was able to navigate HTML documents in Safari, Chrome, Edge or in any other browser using my Braille display. So for Headings, I press dots 1 2 5, for buttons 1 2 etc. Now in iOS 14, when I press H on my braille display keyboard, it shows the letter H and nothing happens. I tried with the rotor options, I navigate to headings and used the braille rotor option to navigate to heading, the assigned key is shown in dots however it does not navigate to the corresponding page element.
