Hi, I sometimes watch foreign movies or shows with my parents. Our Apple Tv is too old to have Voiceover on it, and even if it did, they wouldn't want to hear the subtitles read out, so my best solution is manually synching up my phone with the TV and listening to the subtitles through headphones. This mostly works, but it's super annoying when I get out of synch, and also, it can be hard to hear which character is speaking since the subtitles are read in one voice.
iOS and iPadOS
Hello All,
I've got some MKV files On my computer, that I want to be able to watch them on my iPhone or iPad. I know that I have to convert these files to mp4s, However, I'm having trouble finding a program to do this. Someone said you could use VLC player, and just use iTunes sharing to drop the file into VLC, which I did, but VLC has no audio playing with the video. I looked it up on the app store, and several other people were having the same trouble As I was with the video playing fine, but have no audio.
Looking for: Ability to watch same content on a TV and an iPad so son with low vision can feel included and watch movies with the family.
I understand many streaming websites (Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime Video, etc.) will leverage DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology to block or restrict access to Copyright protected content.
When we screen share from the iPad to the Apple TV we can see the content on the TV but it doesn't play on the iPad for someone with low vision to watch along.
Hi all.
Are there any apps that can tell you where your nearest water fountain or refill point is if you have a refillable water bottle? Thanks.
Hi,
Does anybody know and have experience with WayMap, a non-GPS navigation app? To my knowledge, it has been implemented in London, UK; Washington, DC; and Singapore, among other cities.
For more details, check:

or listen to videos on YouTube. I myself can't test it.
Hello everyone
Hope you and your loved ones are keeping safe and as well as possible.
Ever since the pandemic hit and schools closed, my water intake has gone down. I’d drink more water when at school but now it has dropped from low to no intake. I don’t know whether it’ll be right to post here but I was looking for some way to track my water intake.
Is there a way to track my water intake in the health app? As it is accessible and I use it already. If no, are there any accessible free apps for that? Which can provide with accurate info?
Hey guys.
I'm proud to annaunce first accessible, public, version of radiant for mastodon.

As a lot of us are out of work right now you may be waking up and going to bed different times and finding your phone is confused when it comes to optimized charging. A lot of the times I wake up and find my phone is not fully charged. I know we can turn this feature off but it would be nice if apple would let us have more control over this such as adjusting the schedule and maybe doing a temp pause in the feature. I guess for right now it's best to turn this off since we are not in our normal routines.
Dark Sky has now been removed from the app store. I am looking for a fully featured, voice-over accessible weather app that provides alerts to weather events. The best that I had used in the past was "NOAA Weather". It is also gone. It had the largest number of weather alerts to choose from. I do not want a subscription app. Currently, I use Weather Gods, but I want far more alerts to choose from. Suggestions are appreciated.
Hi! Looking for an accessible weather app for my phone. I'd like it to be able to look at weather for the US and other countries. I'd prefer no subscription if possible, but if the app costs a bit I'm ok with that.
Hi all,
I have an iPhone 7 and I'm looking for a weather app that will alert me when there's any severe weather near me, such as tornadoes or severe thunderstorms. I live in Texas and I have gotten flash flood warning alerts on occasion, but I have a local tv station's app installed and I'm not sure if those alerts are coming from the station's app or if it's coming from one of the weather apps I have installed.
Hey everyone. I hope you've all been well.
I was just wondering whether anyone could possibly tell me of any weather apps that when installed, are read out by voiceover as weather AU?
If anyone could let me know as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nlambert
Hey guys, I am wondering, are there other weather apps that I do not have to subscribe to or pay money for to get notifications for severe weather? The weather app says that notifications for my area are not supported. I’ve checked my location services and all that, and that is all OK. I have an iPhone 12 with iOS 15.4. If possible, I would like one that has an ear grabbing notification sound, not just your typical tritones sound or whatever it is called.
I just reinstalled the Weather Degrees F. app on my iPhone 6S using the latest update of iOS 10. I like having the current temperature displayed on my home screen. However, after having the app on my phone for a day or so, I found that it wasn't updating every 15 or 30 minutes, even though I had the notifications set correctly to do so. It would only update when I opened the app itself, which defeats the purpose. Are there any tricks I can try to make it work correctly; or is there another app that will display the current temperature on my home screen?
