iOS and iPadOS

Hi all,

We'd love to get your input on what we should aim for with the next version of FlickType. Currently, we're faced with a choice between the half-screen option, and adding a yearly subscription option alongside the monthly one. Which one of those two additions are you most most eager to have? We'll prioritize according to the number of requests for each.

Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it!

Warmly,
Kosta and Ashley

Just a note that there is now a free version of VOTimer available for those who would like to try before buying. The only limitation is that for the alarm sound only the wonderful (smile) Vuvuzela sound works, but samples of all sounds can be listened to. https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=647930031&mt=8 Enjoy, Harri

Does anyone else use voxer? When I am using the app, voiceover laggs allot. speech stops sometimes. and audio switches between the speaker and the earpiece. If anyone has any ideas about any of this please help

Hey Everyone, After updating to the latest voxer, has anyone found that you are no longer able to send a message by holding down the talk button? When I updated, and held it down, nothing happened. I also wasn't able to play any new messages people had sent me. Did I miss something in the release notes specifically if they've changed how you're able to send and receive messages?

Are there any Voxer users on here? If so, please can I ask, are you having performance issues when using it? Asking as whenever I use the app, everything is fine until I press home to run the app in the background. VoiceOver at this point goes sluggish.

Hello! I am using Voxer walkie talkie and it works fine. But I have one problem. When I shall talk to anybody I must hold the button down for talk and then release it when I am ready. Now I discovered in later version that I can lock the talk button by sliding it to right, but I can't get it to work with Voiceover. Has anybody solved this problem?

Hello all,
I am thinking of getting myself a VPN subscription. What is one that is accessible? I have seen mention of Private Internet Access but I am seeing some negative reviews on the App Store. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi all. I'd very much like to import my vaccine card into the wallet app so I can get back to a semblance of normality here. However I can't find a barcode on the paper version so I went into the walgreens app. I can find my record, and i heard something like, barcode image. I've double tapped hoping to find some way of interacting with it. All I get is a web dialog, and if I swipe around or explore by touch, I can only find a close overlay dialog. Does anyone use the walgreens app and can give me some hints? Thanks.

I am looking for an accessible, hopefully free, and reliable app for chatting among a group. Does anyone have suggestions? I personally have used whatsapp, zello, allo, and voxer. Voxer's voice features behave strangely with VO in my experience, IE audio routing through the earpiece, but the realtime messages seem nice. Whatsapp seems very user friendly, but I don't know how delayed messages are. Same with Allo. Zello sounds nice, but I'm not sure how the group part works in there. Any ideas for simple yet user friendly and reliable would be great. Thank you.

Hello All, This seems to be a new feature of Apple Maps. In fact the tech guy at Apple Accessibility was surprised to find it too. Maybe it's new with the 7.1 upgrade. Anyway, I believe it's a few flicks to the right from the "Directions" button in Apple Maps, I also find I can get walking directions when I ask Siri something like "I need walking directions from here to thus and such an address or name of restaurant in the town I live in. I don't know if this is available worldwide. I live in the Northeastern U.S.

I am wondering if anyone else has tried using the Walmart grocery app. I find it totally inaccessible and would like to know if anyone else has been able to navigate it. It would change my world if I could order through this app. I would like to contact Walmart accessibility (if such a thing exists). Any ideas how to secure that number?

This is going to be tricky, trust me I searched the whole of the internet to get on how to do this. In the end I came here to seek some guidance if this is actually possible, otherwise I have given up saying Shortcuts does not offer this functionality.

I wish to create a Shortcut using Siri Shortcuts offering the following action:
Voice Command: Siri send Live Location to Route 24
Action: Sends Live Location to a group on whats app; here the group is named Route 24.

Hey, guys.
Just wanted to know what you think of the swift playgrounds app for iPad. Personally, I love the app, and I love the challenge of solving the puzzles. I think it's a great way to learn the swift programming language.
But what do you guys think? Do you think it's a good way to learn to code? Do you find solving the puzzles challenging? I think this would make an interesting discussion.

Hi all,

I'm interested in learning how to use safari because there are times when I don't have access to anything but my phone for getting online. Can anybody recommend any extreme beginner tutorials done from a blindness perspective?

Thanks.
