Hi, I had to reset everything. Now voiceover says screen locked. It didn't do this before. It just played the lock sound. What do I change? Thanks for the help.
iOS and iPadOS
Hello everybody. How can I disable VoiceOver from saying vertical line dot I have set the verbosity level to lowest but it still says that. I think after an update to iOS 11 it started saying vertical line. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much and have a great week
I am running IOS 14.8 on my iPhone SE with the apple A13 chip. After updating I turned off all the voiceover OCR and image description things in its OCR settings section. Then I turned them back on and it re-downloaded its training model data or whatever it uses for OCR. But when I launch an app, then turn on OCR, all I get is a blank screen and swiping does nothing, only thing I can see is the notification bar at the top of the screen. Turning voiceover off and on again with a tripple click of home button does nothing. Turning OCR off using the rotor make the app behave normally again.
Hello guys, I hope and wish you all well. I don't know if it's something about me, but I realized that VoiceOver has a considerably slow response in iOS 16 compared to iOS 15. I still use a Vocalizer voice, considerably more responsive than Siri voices, but I still notice a certain slowness when navigating, for example, between the folders on my home screen using gestures. I made a direct comparison with my iPhone 6s, which is still in iOS 15.7, and it managed to be considerably faster than my iPhone 11 Pro Max in iOS 16.
Hi everyone. I have encountered the following issue on my iPhone on iOS 13:
Go to settings > Accessibility > VoiceOver > Commands > All commands > VoiceOver > Label Item. The default gesture is "two finger single tap and hold". But if I do so, nothing happens. To change the label item, you have to double-tap with two finger ans hold to execute the command "label item".
Although, the problem is that some gestures were shown wrongly to the customers. That's a really serious issue I think. Can anyone confirm that behaviour?
When I call an agency, I regularly get a menu of options.
I then have to choose an option by entering a number.
Since iOS 15, VoiceOver sound is either very quiet or completely gone during a phone call.
Sometimes it is not possible to select a number at all. Very frustrating if, for example, you have a call bus
want to order.
I've been looking in the settings to see if I can set something here, but unfortunately I can't find anything.
Anyone have the same experience and possible solution?
Is anyone else finding that VoiceOver is not consistent when you raise your phone to wake it? Sometimes it announces the time, sometimes it is silent, apart from reporting the screen’s return to locked.
Hi, my phone seems to have slowed down after I updated to iOS 16.3. Is anyone experiencing similar problems pls?
This just started happening when I updated my iPhone to the latest iOS. How do I control it, how do I switch so that it does or does not happen, how does this crazy thing know when I have Bluetooth headphones connected and not a Bluetooth speaker. Honestly it’s really cool and really new but I would like to know how to control it. If any of you have had this happen please let me know. If I am supposed to have this happen and everyone else has done, sorry for posting more than one topic.
Compared to the sound level for the voice itself, the sound effects are very loud. Where can I adjust the volume level for the sound effects? Thank you.
Hello, I was wondering if in the new iOS sounds, where you can enable, or disable them. Does anyone know if there is one for when you slide up from the bottom of the screen for home button? I have not been able to find one, but it seems like most of the other sounds have been thought of, even one for screen lock, which I never liked. Thanks so much.
Hello. So, today I updated to iOS 18.0.1. When I put on my AirPods, my voiceover sounds are in mono. I know for a fact, that’s when not wearing my AirPods, my phone has them in stereo. I don’t know what could be causing this, and I can’t find a fix for this. I tried resetting my AirPods, restarting my phone, and pairing them again. This did not fix the issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Anyone else get Voiceover echoing back text that is entered by Dictation in certain places? A quick example follows:
Get lucky enough to get an iMessage while using something like Twitterrific, or even Music.
Swipe down on the notification to reply to the message.
Startt dictation, and notice what happens.
As you speek, Voiceover should say exactly what you say a few sedons after you do so. This leads to some vary interesting repeated text to say the least.
I have an iPhone X and I've noticed that in more recent versions of iOS, if I'm talking on the ear piece of the phone voiceover still speaks if my face touches the screen. I have noise cancelation turned on and all of that. I know in the past if you had the phone to your ear, the screen would basically freeze up so you wouldn't accidentally activate something with your face. This no longer seems to be the case. I even accidentally hung up on people occasionally because of this. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
My wife just upgraded to iOS 16.5 and now Voiceover pronounces "pause equals seven one one" on every icon as she navigates. As she goes from icon to icon it says the name of the icon like it should, then adds "pause equals seven one one". I am also at 16.5, I turned Voiceover on and it does not do that for me. We both have iPhone 12s. I told her this sounds like a debug statement that some Apple developer left in, except it does not do that for me.
Anyone else experience this or can make any sense out of it ?
