This is Karthik from Envision. Thank you for being a community that has been supportive of our efforts and being a solid source of encouragement when we were starting out a little over a year ago. Hence, I am thrilled to bring to pieces of information to you today:
Hi all,
Okay, I really don't like the new podcasts app, but all my podcasts are there and I'm not sure I want to switch. The problem is, since iOS14, VoiceOver no longer reads the episode descriptions on the listen screen. This wasn't a huge deal as I could swipe down and the more info action would bring me to the episode description. When this quit working, I could still use the option in the library. Now with the redesign though, I can't seem to find episode descriptions anywhere. How do I find these again?
Has anyone tried the ESPN Radio app and if so, is it accesible with Voice Over. I don't mind spending $2.99 but don't want to do so if it is not accessible. John
As multiple people have asked questions regarding the ethical side of Speech Central marketing, I will post regarding that and I won't discuss this topic further.
First I do confirm that I did a competitor comparison marketing. I also understand that for some people it may be controversial.
hi, its a while since i posted here. any of you who are completely blind will have a problem with this. those of you who have some sight may not. when either the camera or the door bell is activated, a notification is sent. at this point, you have the option to "view" the video clip. there is also the ability to speak to the person on the other end. however, their "hold and speak" button does not work when voiceover is turned on, despite the "pass-through" feature. i know this, because my wife used my phone with voiceover turned off.
Hi everyone. Is there an easy to use event planner available?
I battle abit with the standard calender.
I want to check a random date on the fly just by searching and then if I have nothing on, I want to put a event in there.
Thanks.
Apreciate the help,
I would like to know how to acknowledge upcoming events. I have one on April 29th. Bt, I don't know how to tell that person that I will be there. Any and all help would please be appreciated.

I saw Evermusic listed in this month's notable apps, but I cannot find anything else about this app on the site. It's not listed in the app directory. Does anyone know anything about this app? I can't get past the first screen.
I love Evernote so much. Based on what I've read, it's getting more accessable. I've figured out a very long but ok workaround to the inability to edit body text thing, but I can't figure out how to remove a tag from a note. As an example: let's say I've saved a link, and I give it the coding tag. Oops, I accidentally tapped cooking tag. I go ahead and add the correct coding tag, but... how do I remove cooking? I had a sighted person do it their way, and I could not translate that to a way to do it with VoiceOver.
Hi everyone
Had my iPhone for a week now, and love it, however since I got it, every time I MAke or receive a call it automatical is on loudspeaker. I have turned it off during a call, but as soon as I end the call and make or receive another call it's on loudspeaker again. I don't know iif it's to do with VoiceOver as when my dad tried it without seems ok. Anyone got any solutions?
AYES is a company that uses artificial intelligence to create software that assists blind and visually impaired users on their walks. The first version of their app, OKO, is now live in the Benelux.
OKO uses artificial intelligence to recognise the pedestrian traffic light, or pead head. We bring the walk or donβt walk information back to the user through audio and haptic cues. OKO is closely co-developed by blind and visually impaired users, making the application very accessible and easy to use.
Hi all. I was using smart news until the last update. Although I can still use the app, I just don't like the layout. So I was wondering what is everybody's favorite news app to get both breaking news and your local news? Thanks.
So, when I get a notification, a text for example, my iPhone and iPad both speak. For texts, they say something like: "Messages, message from 234-567-8910, or from (contact name)". Is there a way to get notifications without announcing to the world that I got a message from Bill? If my phone is in the dark, IE in my pocket, and if the iPad is in a closed case, I just want to hear the notification sound. I can look at the notification when time and/or environment allows.
