I’ve just moved to using an iFone 6 with OS 8.2. One of the first things I realised was that I can’t end calls using the lock button as I could do with my iFone 5.
I went to my local Apple store to see if they could shed some light on the problem; they tested it and worked out that the phone had to be away from the ear for it to end the call. Of course when doing their testing, they weren’t using voiceover.
Despite this feature in IOS16, I am not able to end calls by pressing the side button. The side button only locks the phone during the call, whether the call is on speaker or earpiece. Any help in this regard would be great! I have ensured that the option to prevent lock to end call is off, and have rebooted the device as well.
Good day, when receiving a whatsapp call on my Iphone 6S with voice over running? Answering it is no problem, but I cannot find a way to end the conversation, and have to wait for the other party to hang up. The 2 finger double tap does not seem to work. Because voice over behaves funny from the moment you answer the call I cannot find a end/back button.
Hey Everyone,
I am interested in finding out whether or not the Endnote app for iPad is accessible with voiceover.
My interest is present due to an upcoming Masters Thesis in the near future.
I don't currently have an iPad, but Endnote being accessible would be a huge plus.
Any advice or insight will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Niall
After the feedback regarding the latest version my app Speech Central, I made a lot of tests and discovered that nearly all voices built in iOS 12 have a very serious flaw. They simply cannot pronounce any word that contains an apostrophe in a proper way except for the Alex voice.
Hello everyone. In iOS 10 i found something wrong with my Siri enhanced quality Voice with VoiceOver. When i try to select Siri Male English Voice for my speech on VoiceOver, i can not find it. On settings>general>accessibility>VoiceOver>speech>default Voice, i just found Siri male voice with standard quality. Have you found this too? Do you have a solution for me? Thanks for your help..
I'm writing to day to ask a question about my Voiceover compact voices. For some reason, all the compact voices that are available for my iPhone 5S sound really distorted and quite awful. Could it be the way the voices installed? I know they sound perfectly fine on other phones I've heard. Right now I'm using default Australian Karen. Her compact equivalent sounds really bad.
Good morning,
This morning after charging my phone I noticed my phone was speaking in the Compaq voice, turns out I had to go in and redownload the enhanced Samantha voice again. How did she even get deleted from my phone? I have a 5s running ios 8.2. I've never experienced this before.
Hi,
I'm having a problem with the enhanced U.S. Siri voices for VoiceOver in iOS 9.0.2. They do not work.
Other languages work just fine, download as expected and everything.
But when I download both the U.S. male and U.S. Female enhanced Siri voice and try to use them, it downloads just fine and then Samantha is used no matter what I do. It seems to remember the last Samantha voice I used. For example if I am using compact Samantha and then try to switch to the U.S. Male Siri enhanced quality voice, it still uses compact Samantha.
I love the new Nuance voices! I wish we were able to have more than one enhanced voice in the rotor.
I have to go in to settings, general, accessibility, voiceover, speech to change the voices. My rotor is grayed out when I have one of the enhanced voices in it. It would be nice to change them on the fly.
I have an IPhone 4s that previous has IOS6 installed. I am playing around with voice over voices and I found out there are enhance voices for every voice in voice over. But when I successfully downloaded the enhanced samantha and daniel voice, they sound really bad. That is, it's very choppy like they are speaking through a destroyed voice recorder. I tried installing other enhanced voices and the sound is the same. Yesterday I updated my phone to IOS 9.1, unfortunately nothing has changed. They regular voice sounds clear but the enhanced voices sound bad.

Hi everyone. I swear this time, this isn't me being a dork, this is an issue I have found. I have an Apple bluetooth keyboard, which I love, but I find when I buy even a free app, on the app store, I can't enter the password. I can click the keys so it says, "quick nav, off" i also know i'm in the dit field. But no clicks are heard, and whenI click on, there's nothing and apple acts like nothing's been entered. has anyone seen this?
Hi to all of you,
Now, as I became the member of this great community, another question has come to my mind hoping that you can suggest something.
From IOS 6.something in most cases I cannot enter my passcode through my external keyboard. In IOS5 it was no problem doing this at all.
What I do is this: first, I press a key on the keyboard by which I I get to the point when I could enter the passcode. When I start to type the numbers, nothing is entered into the editbox, but I have to go through number by number to press each digit of the passcode.
