I would first like to mention that I have been using an iPhone for a while now, since my iOS 4s and iOS 6) I vaguely remember having something similar to this happening or being a choice a long time ago. I recently upgraded my 5c to 9.1 and now every capital letter, instead of just having a slight inflection to denote that it is upper case, says "cap" before saying the letter.

Hi folks,
I’ve noticed an issue with the Notification Center and lock screen notifications. I’m not sure if it started happening after iOS 14.0 or 14.1, but sometimes when there are a lot of notifications, VoiceOver skips some of them when revealing the list. I often only see the older notifications instead of the newer ones. Swiping left repeatedly doesn’t help—VoiceOver still doesn’t pick up the recent notifications. Sometimes, scrolling down with three fingers makes the newer ones appear, but that doesn’t always fix it.
Is anyone here that uses teladoc noticing that vo keeps saying _text_ when scrolling? This is using ios15.6.1 with latest version of teladoc.
Hello,Phone calls as well as voip calls made through various third-party apps are integrated in the IOS Phone app and are displayed under the Recent tab. I'v noticed that VoiceOver, while reading most of it, are not giving the entire information in the list of incoming and outgoing calls. For sighted users there are info whether the the call made or received has beeen a phone call or a voip call from other apps, and even audio or video. But I couldn't seem to get all that info read by VO.
Does anyone else find that when in reading-all mode in text, that they are not read as they would be spoken? For instance, can't is read as can tee and it's is read as it ess.
I updated to ios 17.0.3, and VO has stopped describing photos in the native photo app.
I have Image Descriptions turned on in the VO settings.
Anyone else seeing this?
Lately when I get an incoming call, VO just reads the phone number. I'll answer and discover it's someone from my contacts. Is anyone else having this problem? Suggestion? Thanks.
So, its a minor bug, and kind of amusing, but has anyone else noticed that ever since we've moved in to this new year, Samantha can't quite pronounce it? The year twenty twenty is pronounced as twentieth twenty. I've seen this on an iPhone 10S running iOS 13.3. If you haven't yet experienced this, open the calendar app and check the current month.
Minor bug, but one which will grab your attention.

I just updated from an iPhone 6 to and iPhone XR (and am really loving the upgrade!).
Anyway, on my iPhone 6 VO always spoke alerts that came to the locked screen.
Now on my iPhone XR when I get an alert I hear an alert sound but VoiceOver is not speaking the text of the alert.
I do have "always speak alerts" checked in the Settings / General / VoiceOver dialog. Is there some other setting(s) I should be using to have these alerts automatically spoken on the locked screen?
I am using the latest iOS 112.1.2.
Thanks.

I am using the MS Word app on an iPhone XR running iOS 12.4
Problem: As I select words in a document using Shift+Option+Left/Right Arrow keys, VoiceOver is not speakikng the text as it is being selected. This works in all other aplications and edit boxes, but not when editing in the Word app.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.
I tried to report it to Microsoft several times throughout the last year from within the app but haven't gotten any response. This problem makes it very difficult to edit Word docs reliably using VoiceOver.
Hi. On iOS in face time calls, the person on the other end can not hear VO, but on OSX they can. In OSX is there a way to get it so people can not hear VO?
Hi. Remember my post from a few days ago about the gestures problem I was having on 4 different iOS devices that were all previously working good? Well now I am having another problem, but this time it has only hit 3 of my iOS devices. The iPhone 6, the iPhone 4s and the iPod 5. Numerous reboots and resets have done nothing to fix it. In the settings app, VoiceOver decided to quit announcing the state of some toggle switches. Some work properly and some don't. For example, I will get, airplane mode double tap to toggle setting.
Hi All,
I would appreciate some assistance with a VoiceOver problem on a Fifth Gen iPod Touch.
I gifted my Mother the latest iPod Touch and a Phillips Clock Radio for her to play her music. I set Voice Over up for her and taught her the basics. Now she has returned home she has encountered an unexpected problem, a problem that I have been unable to resolve, .
After removing the iPod from the Phillips Clock Radio dock, VoiceOver simply stops speaking.
A small but annoying problem: Just before I updated to the newest IOS, VO started pronouncing yesterday as yester-tay, and Larry as Laury. Is this somebody's idea of a joke or an Easter Egg? Or, is it a real bug?
Occasionally VO is making No-ItemFound announcement, even when the phone is locked. Could I have activated something to trigger this behaviour recently?
Thanks in anticipation.
Hello all,
In certain third-party apps, Voiceover recognises different consecutive controls as one control. For instance, while flicking from left to right wherein there are, say, control 1, control 2, control 3 and control 4 to click, Voiceover in just one flick announces all these control together. Double tapping activates the first control, so there seems no way to click other controls. The same app, if used on android device, they are reported in separate flicks by Talkback.
