Urgent, strange bug with Safari and google on ios!

iOS and iPadOS

Hey all.
So, I noticed that I can't search for anything that isn't in my bookmarks on safari for ios and using the google search engine.
Whenever I try searching for something on google, I get the server cannot be found message.
However, selecting a website in my bookmarks works fine.
Using bing doesn't give any problems.
I even went as far as to erase my iphone and restore from an earlier backup.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks.

DNS issue

The problem lies on the DNS server configured incorrectly.
It is not an iOS bug, first try clearing your browsing history by going to settings, safari, clear history and website data.
If all else fails, go to Wi-Fi settings and find the network name and swipe up with one finger until you hear more info, next, scroll down to where it says configure DNS, choose manual and delete all the servers by swiping up using the rotor on all the elements that say label and an address, delete all of it, click add server, choose a different DNS server such as Google DNS, Cloudflare DNS, or open DNS.
You can typically search for the preferred DNS of your choice on Bing. Note that you have to enter DNS one and DNS two on two different fields respectively, you enter one and then you click add server again, then click save.
If you don’t want to mess with your DNS settings, alternatively you can try using your cellular data connection, and most likely Google will definitely Load properly.
Alternatively you can also change your DNS server settings on your router if you have access to the admin console

Mobile data connection not working.

I can't even use my mobile data connection, I get the same result.
It would probably help to say that I accidentally clicked on a suspicious link, though it was a slip of the finger rather than an intention to do so.

We both

It would appear, that we both have the same issue as of today. It might be a South African thing.

When I google searched about Google being down in South Africa, there was a news article published 40 minutes ago about how Google services in the South African domain is currently down.
At the meantime you can try the NCR version of Google by going to google.com/ncr

Actual

I actually tried visiting the South African version of google and it says Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.

That's it then.

Problem solved. Now for the big wait.
