I want to add contacts to my Iphone 5S using my braille notetaker. Could someone please give me an example of how to write phone numbers (correct format) using computer braille and how to write them (correct format) using grade II Braille?

I am seeking suggestions for games which are completely accessible with braille displays and suitable for my clients who are deaf-blind. The games I have come across so far provide feedback with sound. This will not work for my clients who cannot hear or see at all. One client in particular is looking for word games. I am very grateful for any suggestions you could offer! Thank you.

Are there any free games besides text games that can be controlled or played by just using a braille display? I am running IOS 10.1.1 and am using a Focus 14 blue with VoiceOver and an iPad.

Hey, guys!

I was recently given a Brialliant BI 40X display! While I haven't had a chance to pair it with the Ipad, that is something I'm looking at doing @ some point next week.

I'm a newbie to braille displays on IOS. I'm still trying to get the hang of how the Brailliant itself works, along with its apps. :-)
Add to that a new embosser, which, I still need to hook up to. I might have more questions about that as it pertains to the Ipad. But, I digress.

Hey guys,
I've got a Focus 40 Blue Braille Display and I'm not sure, how to go to the previous page in Safari or in other apps.
In iOS the left selector is programmed to perform this task but not in MacOS. I've found a solution for a different keyboard-layout by creating a script to simulate the keystroke of the needed hotkeys. This approach didn't work for me, possibly because I'm using a QWERTZ keyboard.
Do you have a suggestion, what I could do to fix this issue?
Thanks and kind regards
Sizou

So I have always wondered this.
I know when we type with braille, and if we type a dot combination that could have more than one word, flicking down or up accordingly will change word suggestions, but is there any way of going through the auto correct suggestions that are brought up when we delete a space, like we would if we were just typing with the on screen keyboard, while in BSI? Or just what I said before with flicking up or down to change suggestions? Something I have always wanted to ask, but never found a place to ☺️

I work with multiple students with iPads and refreshable braille displays. I am having a problem with the Google Docs app on the iPad. When text is entered via a braille display, only the last letter of whatever word is entered is announced by VoiceOver. When any text is deleted, it only says "selection deleted" instead of giving an indication of what was deleted to keep the person oriented. The OS and app are both fully up-to-date. I have had this same problem on multiple iPads, with multiple Google accounts, and with different models of braille displays.

Hey everyone, I am having a difficult time with using google drive on the ipad and a refreshable braille display. Everything seems to work fine until I try and edit a shared document. I am not able to move the curser to different parts of the text within each line, every time I do it just pulls up the select, select all functions. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks

Hi All

Having trouble creating a title slide. I can sometimes get text into the title field but there's no obvious announcement of Text Field Is Editing etc so the results are random.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi I just got the Hable1 and have a few questions after reading all the documentation I could find. 1 Can you type computer braille. 2 should you set it up from vo’s braille settings or bluetooth settings because it talks about bluetooth settings and that works but setting it up in vo also works but it is not respecting my computer braille settings. 3 it appears to have several manuals, and one of them mentions the functions manual, which I can’t seem to find anywhere, including on the website with the other manuals, any ideas where that might be.

Hi all, I come across questions about 2 new VO features mentioned at the iOS 7 description, handwriting and Nemeth Braille. I'm using a 4S and I'm not sure if it's an issue of hardware or not. VoiceOver crashes, restarts and goes back to default settings every time when I wanna turn to handwriting mode. Another one is that, where to activate and use Nemeth Braille input?

Good evening,
I have recently changed to an iPhone 6s+ and have begun to use the onscreen Braille input, which I'm finding amazing!
However, I have two issues I'm hoping someone can help me with:
Firstly, I can get the Braille keyboard to be the correct way round, only with the home button to the left (when in landscape mode). Is it possible to "flip" this in some way so the home button is to the right?

I have tried creating lengthy documents in both Google Docs and Pages, and I have a problem. I am using an iPhone 7 with IOS 12.1.4, along with a Brailliant BI 40.
I notice that, when the document advances to another page, I often end up somewhere other than the top of the page. I find it very difficult to get to the top of the page using the double tap. This is quite a problem, especially when I am attempting to use the document as notes for public speaking.

I am trying to train a deaf-blind person to send SMS text messages with a U2 Mini and iPhone 5S. I've run into the same problem with his equipment that I did with my iPhone 5. I'm running iOS 8.1.1, and he is running 8.0. We enter the phone number, either directly or via the terminal clipboard. It then seems to be almost impossible to get to the body to enter text into the message. I've tried space bar, chord 45, chord 456 then chord l, but when I hit chord 456 I hear "Add Contact".

I connected my BrailleNote via bleutooth to my phone, but after disconnecting the BrailleNote, I find that now my phone is not pronouncing some words and numbers correctly. For example: it's messing up the apostrophe pronunciation. Instead of saying the word "isn't" it says something like "isn 'T". Also with numbers, it says battery level ninety instead of saying ninety percent like it usually does. Does anyone know what I might have done to cause this? If I didn't explain it clearly enough, I'll try to do so again. Thank you for any help.
