I'm intrigued by the feature in BlindSquare that lets you simulate being at a different location, for purposes of planning routes and checking out what's around your destination. Is there any way of doing this with a distant location (i.e., one outside the maximum search radius)? My wife and I are going to be spending a few days in the city for her birthday and I was hoping to plan some surprises for her. I'd like to use BlindSquare to figure out what will be in our vicinity, plan some routes, etc.

Hello,

A friend asked me a question about Blindsquare that I am not sure about since I don’t use it. So I was hoping some Blindsquare users can answer a couple of questions.

How much data does it use? Would a GPS like Tom Tom help it use less data? I read the description and it just said a flat rate data plan is recommended.

If you can please answer this I would appreciate it. You can find data usage of the app by going to settings> Cellular> usage for Blindsquare.

Thank you.

Hello,
I just baught the Blind Square and so far so good. Is there a way to get the app to give me measurements in imperial units instead of metric units? I've looked at the user guide and probably have missed it.
Thanks in advance for bailing me out again.

Does anyone know if the blink home monitoring app is accessible? My mom bought a couple of those doorbells.

Is there any way to completely block voicemail messages from blocked numbers? I notice that there is a Blocked folder under voicemail with a bunch of messages in it, which are taking up space on my phone. Is there any way to completely block these messages from coming through at all? Apparently, text messages are blocked, but voicemail messages are not.

How do I permanently block a patantial stocker from harassing me? I asked him to stop contacting me, but he will not. I turned off FaceTime and iMessages. Also I blocked him and reported it as spam to Apple, through the iMessage app. But I’m still getting emails from him. So what do I do now to stop him from for good!!!!!

Short and sweet: Is there a way to block an asshole on Clubhouse? I don't wanna report them, but I definitely want them to never be able to contact me, and vice versa.

Hello All,
Please forgive me for being a little obtuse but I don't seem to be able to figure out how to block text messages anymore. I have successfully acheived this in the past but have forgotten how I did it. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks for your help.

Hi. Does anyone know of an accessible blog generator? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for an app that will let me follow different blogs. I need it to be able to handle a host of blogging platforms. The Wordpress app just doesn't cut it for ste. I'm hoping to find something where I can separate things by blog, and only see entries from one blog at a time. Does anyone know if there's something out there like this? Would an RSS reader maybe work for this purpose? Thanks, Shersey

I am looking for an app where I can read blogs from my friends. I'm not so much looking for one where I can blog myself in-app. I'm mainly just looking for one where I can read the blogs of others, but it's fine if one has a blogging feature, too.

I'm looking for an accessible app where I will be able to read blogs from popular blogging sites like Tumblr, Blogspot and WordPress.

My app is to help find Blue Badge Parking locations around the UK. I did find a very kind person called Dan Gibson who has a web site with over 7300 locations worldwide, the vast majority here in UK. It has a few unique features to help all users who are sighted and a couple for those with poor vision. Since its release I have had a request to improve Voice Over functionality as I didn’t design the app for people like me as I can’t drive anymore but it was pointed out they also like to help their partners find parking spaces.

I’ve been hearing a lot about people switching fronm X to Blue Sky, so I’m wondering if the app is accessible? Also, is the Threads app accessible?

I cannot use a blue tooth keyboard when voice over is on. The blue tooth keyboard works fine if voice over is off.

Any suggestion how a blue tooth keyboard can work when voice over is on?

Currently using iPhone 5s

Hi all,
So I finally got into Bluesky (I waited for months before they finally gave me an invite code).
So far the app itself is quite accessible. VoiceOver reads most of the on-screen elements. The field where you type your post is accessible and normal VO reading commands work, but there seems to be an issue with the selectioin command for whatever reason, namely I can't seem to select text properly; the cursor seems to always go back to the start of the post.
Also, there are a few unlabeled buttons here and there throughout the app.

So the big new social media place right now seems to be Bluesky but the app is worse with accessibility every time I open it. Currently you can't type a post using braille screen input (how anyone screws up an on device keyboard like that is a mystery to me), can't read reposts, can't tab through posts at all (you just get to the bottom of the screen and it starts reading the menu bar), can't two finger tap to read continuously, and on and on. The official app is garbage so far and no pleas to the dev team seem to have changed anything.

Apparently, Bluetooth is supposed to be available in the newest IOS. Besides the bump app, which I find annoying, confusing, and intrusive, how does one or can someone bluetooth a contact to another device or just to another iDevice. Thank you for any assistance with this prcedure will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a bluetooth question. I am currently using a iPhone 6s, which has Bluetooth 4. When I get my next phone, which may be a used iPhone 8 but will probably be a new SE, it will have Bluetooth 5. What kind of audio difference can I expect? Specifically, I have a set of second gen AirPods. They said that the second gen AirPods would have 30% less lag as compared to the first gen. However, when I went from the first to second gen, I didn't notice a difference in lag and I'm wondering if this reduction in lag they talked about required Bluetooth 5.

Hi all,

Does anyone else notice the new iOS 13 feature where VoiceOver's speech does not go to Bluetooth speakers when music is playing through them? I have a question.
Why is this only happening with 1 speaker I've tried? The others, including Bluetooth to 3.5 MM adapters, all steal my VoiceOver speech when the speaker I use in the shower does not. LOL it's really annoying especially since I want VoiceOver always coming from the phone not the Bluetooth speaker. If it worked on all my speakers and not just 1, that would be nice.
