Hi all,
My wife has an iPhone 14 pro max running IOS 17.
She uses magnification in the form of the zoom feature which she has enabled from under vision settings. She also has voiceover enabled.

She needs the screen brightness to be at 100%. The iPhone however keeps reducing this brightness to about 40% or less. This is despite turning off automatic features like true tone, adaptive brightness.

Is this brightness reduction hard codded into the phone or can it be disabled?

hi all, i don't know about anyone else, but i was really disappointed when IOS5 came out and daniel became the default british voice. personally i can't stand him and would really like the choice, if serena was available i'd actually use the british voice instead of karen. anyone else in the UK agree? it will be nice if they gave us a choice of female and male voice too. amy

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows of a British English dictionary app that allows you to hear how a word is pronounced after you’ve looked it up spoken by a human voice? :-) Might be a longshot but thought I’d ask anyway. Or just does anyone know if British English dictionaries in general if there isn’t one with spoken pronunciations available.

hey yawl, hope you are well.

I am a user who uses British text to speech and a question is bothering me since I have started using the iPhone.

USA voice are much higher quoloty and pronounces everything as perfect as a TTS can bee. however, the British voices are short of being perfect.

they have a lot of miss pronunciation problems and they cannot read the dates in both formats since I live in the USA and love both worlds equally.

I am having trouble navigating a table on a particular web page. Specifically if anyone is using "Full View" on the Fidelity Investments web site, the "Net Worth" table. This is a three column table The first colomn has a single cell that "Spans" all the rows. When I go to the cecond column and try to navigate the individual rows I can only get to the first and last rows. Any suggestions on navigating complicated tables with this type of structure?

Hello everyone,

I'm curious: has anyone else lost the ability to double-tap the edges of the screen to activate Braille Screen Input in iOS 18.1.1? This started for me after I had the most recent update pushed to me. Perhaps it is unique to my phone, though?

Hi everybody!

For the last year with every new iOS-release I reported to the Apple-Accessibility-Team that the bluetooth-bug, where VO goes to max-volume, when connected to a bt-speaker, still exists. Also the rotor-option for audio-destination (sorry, I don't know the proper english term) is completly broken and literally non-existent. Every time I got the standard-response, that they are aware of the problem and that they are already investigating...

Hello everyone! Does anyone have any budgeting app recommendations that are accessible with voice over (specifically something that will let you add transactions and categorize them)?

I have been using Mint for a while, but there are some things that only the website can do (like editing irregular budgets) and the website is unfortunately not fully accessible despite my attempts to contact customer support.
Thanks!

Hi,
Do any of you have a recommendation for someone looking for an accessible budgeting or check register app for the iPhone?
Thank you.

Hello all, I don't know if anybody has noticed this but since shortly after GarageBand was updated for IOS 8, there has been a problem when recording drums. It only seems to happen with drums. If I am playing drums and then move up to the buttons at the top to record or to open settings Etc., it seems to forget to switch back to double tapping so I will be touching around to find a button and as I touch, they activate and often do not give audible feedback when touched.

Hello everyone. I attempted to try to share a contact with someone. After I was on the right contact, I tried to send it to someone else. When I started to type into the to feld of the message, I tried to select the right person, because I have more then oneperson beginning with the letter I used. However, all I heard was a clicking sound, VO didn't read what I was selecting. I therefore gave up. I did call the accessibility specialists at Apple, and the gentleman I spoke with told me that this must've been a bug.

Hi all:

I found this on the guardian today, it states that a particular string of non-latin characters such as arabic or Chinese sent via sms or iMessage can crash an iOS device.

I hope that doesn't put iPhone 4s at risk.

For more information, please visit:

Thanks

I just got my 5C a couple of weeks ago. I know its running iOS7, but I don't know how to get the exact version information. Lately when I've made reminders in the Reminders app, there's a very annoying bug. When I activate the text field for the reminder title, and I start typing with my Apple wireless keyboard, it's like the first key I enter, T for example, gets stuck, and it puts a bunch of T's in the text field. It doesn't let up until I type another letter.

Has anyone else noticed these issues in IOS9?

When syncing notes between Outlook 2013 to the notes app in IOS, it seems to be having some issues in IOS9.
Sometimes notes don't get synced or if I edit a note in outlook and sync it back to the notes app, it includes the original text which it should have deleted.
I had a lot of problems with this when I upgraded to IOS9 and I had to delete all the old notes from the notes app to allow it to sync.

This morning the app store had an update to the very popular and very useable Lire RSS Full Text RSS Reader. Like any good iPhone user I downloaded the update immediately. Alas there's a bug and the app no longer will fetch new articles. I have contacted the developer and he/she has confirmed the bug. A new, hopefully bug-free update has been submitted to Apple and the developer has asked that its testing be fast tracked. I would advise any Lire user who has not updated yet to hang fire until the next version is released.

I have encountered a bug in the Mail App. I don't know how to fix it. Can anybodoy help?

I use an iPhone 5s with IOS 10.2.1.

I ran into this problem with the native Notes app on an iPad Mini 4. It's possible this problem is limited to the iPad, since apps often have different interfaces for iPads than they have for iPhones and iPods.

While editing a note, if the iPad is in portrait mode, there is no VoiceOver feedback as to what is being typed. There is no echo, regardless of the typing echo setting, and if you try to navigate the text field by characters, words, or lines, you hear sound effects indicating that the cursor is moving, but no speech telling you where you are in the note.
