Since updating to iOS16.0, I've encountered a bug in voiceover that causes it to repeatedly crash and reopen itself if it thinks the phone is using too much ram. Additionally, once Voiceover has crashed and reopened a certain number of times, I lose the voice settings I set up and the phone defaults to a voice I didn't choose as my default voice and I then have to go back into settings and set Voiceover back up the way I want it again, only to have it happen again after it crashes a few more times.
iOS and iPadOS
Since upgrading to 16.1 iOS iPhone 13 pro, using VoiceOver reading emails brings up an interesting bug. Interested if anybody else has found this. I have two email accounts on my phone, let鈥檚 call them account A and account B. I open account A and come to the first unread email. It reads the subject line and the first part of the message. Unfortunately what it seems to be doing most of the time. It鈥檚 read the subject line from account A and then the first part of the message from an email in account B.
I've noticed an accessibility bug in the sonos app for iOS. I'm a bluetooth keyboard user, and every time I try entering a password in the sonos app, whether it's the password to my sonos account or the password to my Internet gateway's wifi, the app won't allow me to use my bluetooth keyboard to enter said passwords. I have to use the on screen keyboard on my iPhone to enter the passwords, even though it should be possible to use the bluetooth keyboard.
Hi all,
I found a little bug with voiceover when trying to read an email and wondered if I was the only one here who experiences this.
Here are the steps to try and reproduce this bug:
Anywhere in iOS, could be a text field or just a page in an app or safari - let's go with a text field to make this easy - type the letters no, make sure they are in lower case. Type any other letter with no spaces between the no you just typed. There should not be any punctuation after this third letter.
So basically you have just typed a 3 letter word starting with NO.
Hi,
So let me explain this really carefully, since it may not make sense.
When I open my notification center it shows everything I want, events, weather, all of that. The problem is with the events part of the notification center.
I go back to the home screen and guess who's hanging out on my screen, the events part of the notification center. It happens if I scroll to the top of my screen and I can't dismiss it. Resetting my device makes it worse by the minute.
Hi!
I鈥檓 not sure if this is a bug, but if it is I鈥檓 hoping I鈥檓 not the only one that鈥檚 having this problem.
When I am on Facebook, I went into my profile and I found this very interesting.
Voiceover does not tell me how many friends I have, is this a bug? Or is this a setting that I need to turn on in order for voiceover to do this?
Here are the bugs in ios 11 that I would like to see squashed in ios12, let me know if any of you are having the same bugs. This is an iPhone SE.
-The app switcher still has focus issues, you can close an app you thought you closed because vo said it was that app but it turns out it was the wrong one.
-if you go out of the app switcher and open another app, vo sometimes will still read the contents of the app switcher until you move around on the screen.
-the alex voice will sometimes lose speech and you have to restart vo.
Hi all, I've recently downloaded the latest IOS update, and have found a large number of voiceover bugs. Firstly, when typing in a text message, every few words voiceover takes me back to the top of the screen where it says 3 unread. Secondly, when typing in Safari or Chrome, I can't type with a braille display and can only use dictation, or the keyboard on the phone. Finally, I have noticed that when receiving phone calls, voiceover doesn't really work when trying to find the answer button. Has anyone else noticed these issues?
Hello everyone, I have recently updated to iOS 17.1. I came from iOS 16 and I have noticed several issues in Ios 17. Most notably being the voiceover a bug that I鈥檓 about to state. I鈥檓 a bilingual user, which means I constantly have to switch between two languages or more. Whenever I switch, there is always a slight delay with voiceover when it comes to pronunciation. Has anyone bilingual like myself noticed this issue? And if you did, do you think it鈥檒l be solved in the next update?
Hi all,
I thought it might be useful to gather together in one place details of any VoiceOver-specific bugs which have been introduced in iOS 4.3.
So, please use this thread to share details of any bugs and workarounds that you are aware of.
Thanks
David
Hey guys, new to the forums. Was wondering if anyone experiences any of these two issues, Safari constantly freezing, and when you use dictation to fill in and edit field box and when you're done dictating and tap done it actually deletes the text it just wrote? Seems like the faster these phones and tablets are getting, the slower and more unreliable voiceover is getting.
So I tend to listen to music with dolby atmos (spatial audio) a lot. For a long time I had this issue where during song transitions, the next song after the current one would start, cut out right after the initial transient for half-a-second, then come right back, interrupting the whole gapless flow of certain songs. However, this only happens with atmos and lossless. If I stream said songs in 256kbps aac (high quality), without the dolby atmos version downloaded, it goes from 1 song to the next with no issues. Until recently I thought it was an issue in apple music itself.
So I rarely use Apple Maps and rarely interact with any map on the screen whatsoever. I was exploring Apple Maps,I'm sure this also happen with the generic map interface in any app.
Hey and good evening.
so, technically speaking iOS and iPad OS are two similar systems and have the same core functionality, iPpad OS is more aimed at the productive side and has some functions we iPhone users are missing.
I'm currently looking at a cheap iPad I can get for a posible productive device so w麓I was curious about something.
I can only find the gestures for the traditional iOS on the iPhone, what I'm searching for is a list of things and gestures that work different on the iPad than on the iPhone and what extra functions I have available.
Hi.
I am wondering if there are voiceover commands for changing volume of my iPad and would really appreciate other good keystrokes for VoiceOver. Please note that I don鈥檛 seem to havre any fm keys.
Hi,
As the subject line suggests, after upgrading to a new shiny iPhone12 pro running IOS 14.2, after I create a folder, (for this example lets call it music), when I navigate around the OS I'm continually hearing Voiceover say music before reading an element.
Also music is spoken in empty search fields.
Any ideas how I can cure this?
Many thanks in advance of suggestions made.
Kind regards
Graham
Hi friends, I鈥檓 experiencing an issue where VoiceOver cuts out at the beginning of sentences.
When VoiceOver starts reading something, it often skips the first word or the first two words.
I鈥檓 using an iPhone 15 Pro with iOS 18.3.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Thanks for your help!
