Hello everyone,
Does anyone know how to get google docs to stop announsing things as I type? iOS typeing echo is off but it still does this.
I have no idea as to why it does this. It even does it on the web in windows and macOS as wel.
Is there a way to turn this off?

New version seems to have broken something. I updated today, and now I can't seem to access words or lines or anything inside the control that holds the text, editing seems to be impossible now. I just made a backup this morning, so I think I'll go back to the previous version by deleting the app and putting it back on with itunes. If anyone else uses google docs and there is an update available, be cautious.

I have been all over Applevis researching this before creating this post. For background, We produce a newsletter for Washington Council of the Blind. So staying with a format that can go between IOS and Windows, supports headings, and can easily convert to HTML or PDF is Important. Most of our documents come in as Word gfiles, so we have standardized on that format, DOCX. Some of us have chosen to do all our editing in Google Docx, on the iPhone, with a Bluetooth keyboard.

Hello everyone, I have started a campaign on twitter to let Google know of their accessibility issues in the Hangouts app for iOS. I would like everyone to go to this website and fill out the form to let Google know what the problems are. https://services.google.com/fb/forms/accessibilityfeedback/ The problems I am currently experiencing are: Throughout the app, buttons have little to no labels. When in a video call, the buttons to access the mute and other functions disappear when the call starts. There have been many updates recently, and none of them have addressed these issues.

Does anyone know how to have Google Maps notify you of your location? Every other app that I use such as Apple Maps, Nearby Explorer has a really simple way of finding out where you are. I can't figure out how to do that and I like Google Maps do to the wealth of information it has on local businesses etc... Any thaughts, ideas would be appreciated. Thank you,

Hi! From the Google Maps search results sometimes you will get places with no proper street address for example with parks. Sometimes you will just get a postal/zip code and the name of the town or city.
is there a way you can get the longitude and latitude coordinates from a particular place?

hi all, i'm playing around with the new google maps app for iOS, and somehow, i apparently have managed to change the voice to where it will not announce street names, it now says turn left, instead of turn left on to named street. if anyone has figure out how to change this setting, could you please tell me how I can change this back to the default setting? Thanks.

hey all, I am coming to you today, to warn all iOS users, if you have updated to the latest version of google maps, be advised, that it breaks accessibility with voiceover, as in when you go to start voice guided turn by turn. You can get your routes loaded, but there is not a button that you can double tap to start voice guidance. feel free to reply to this if you have any work arounds for this issue. We might need to contact google about this and have this as a campaign of the month.

Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe. I have an iPhone 15 pro currently running the latest version of iOS. I'm running into a strange situation with Google Maps and I'm wondering if anybody has any insight or can help me please.

If i look for an address on Google maps, is there a way to add the resulting info to my contacts on the iPhone? I'll give the perfect example. I looked up the post office. Google maps found it right away, and I could see the address and phone number. I'd like to have that in my contacts on IOS. Is there some way to do this so that I don't have to search for it over and over again, or manually find some way to copy and paste all that? the name would be auto filled in and everything would just be there. i hit done and boom. its in my contacts.

Just started using Google maps and is signed in through google email. This might be a silly question but I can't find how to understand my location. Other GPS apps usually have this button.

Hi all, I can't get Google now/maps to narrate directions. I have followed the instructions such as tap and hold the mode transit icon with voice over on or off. Am I missing some thing in the settings menu to turn it on?

I just got my new iPhone a few days ago and was hoping to bring over the few Google books I have purchased. The Google Play Books app claims Voiceover compatibility, but I can't figure out any way to turn pages. Everything seems to read well enough, though the small amount of material on each page and all the clicks are a little annoying. Before i submit a less than favorable review of the app, I wondered if anyone might be using this app with more success. Turning the pages is kind of important.

When trying to read an e-Book on the Play Books app on my iPhone, I do the two finger swipe down for continuous reading. However, Voice Over stops reading at the end of the page and I need to manually move to the next page with a three finger swipe left and then swipe down with two fingers to restart reading. Unlike with the Kindle app where pages are turned automatically and continuous reading is uninterrupted. Is there a way to have pages turned automatically in the Play Books for uninterrupted reading? Thanks. Barbara

<p>Hi everyone. Does anyone know of an accessible google plus ap for voice over users. I&#39;ve seen a ap for google plus but others have said that the ap is not blind friendly. Any ideas?</p>

I use the I phone 4s, and I have the Google plus app on my phone and I'm having trouble figuring out where the add to circles button is and when I click on that button once I find it I have no indication that the button has been clicked after the tapping sound.
Is there anyway to have this fixed?

Where can i find my notifications on the google plus app? It seems that i have a couple of notifications, but i dont know where to find them, as a few buttons are not labelled. Any help would be much appreciated! Google should seriously do something to make their apps more accessable!

For the last week I have been using the google podcast player. It is much easier to navigate then the IOS native app. The issues I have found with it so far are: the search button tries to hide on the top of the page, and oddly enough sometimes all available episodes are not listed. It's now my preferred app for podcasts.

Hello, All. I just read a post about the lack of accessibility in the Google Maps app. I would simply like to jump on the Google bandwagon to ask why they have neglected to lable most of the buttons in the Google Search app. Granted, I love the app and use it more than I do Siri for searches, but most of the buttons are unlabled. this really is inexcusable. I hope Google is not operating under the notion that labeling the "Voice Search" is sufficient for people who are blind with regard to accessibility for people who are blind or have low vision.
