I am wondering, are there any apps out there for finding places in the country? I'm not gonna disclose my location, but a lot of my family live close by. I would love to be able to walk to see my grandma without having my mom put a special landmark out in the yard and stuff like that. we are within a short walking distance, but it's all across a big open area with no physical landmarks.

We all know that many TV shows are now putting full episodes online in various ways, such as through YouTube, iTunes, Hulu, their own websites, etc.

So, I am wondering: Is there an accessible app that provides a one-stop shop kind of platform where you can watch (and "favorite") TV shows as new episodes get put online? I'm looking for one, unlike Hulu, that doesn't have a subscription fee. Even a one-time paid app would be fine with me.

What apps are people using to keep track of appointments and to-dos? I am now using the build-in calendar apps, but I want to have the option of using others. I'm not looking for ultracomplex apps like Omni Fucis, but I just want a good app that can help me keep track of appointments and reminders. What apps are people using, and which ones are the best with Voiceover? Thanks.

I am a parent with vision loss and I use some apps to help me with things around the house like tap tap see. Just wondering about other useful apps that visually impaired parents might find helpful.

Hey everyone. I hope you’re all having a wonderful day. I’m hopefully getting all my teeth out in a month or so. So I’m looking for suggestions for an app I can use that will let me type something, and have the app speak what I’ve typed. I’m really thankful for any Help in advance

I'd like a recommendation for an app that plays audio files with .ogg, .wma or .wav extensions. If any apps can also handle .ram files, that would be great as well. Thanks.

Can anyone recommend the best apps for both identifying products and reading package directions? Thanks.

What apps are people using for product recognition? For example, to scan a product bar code and hear VoiceOver identify the product? I have always used Seeing AI for this, but lately, it fails to work about half the time, and VoiceOver says "Not recognized". So I'm open to trying another app.

Hi all, i'm looking for a good accessible app that you can record things with, mucking around with friends, meetings etc as my digital recorder is broken so if there's an app for the phone out there, all would be good! If anyone's got anything good, hearing about it would be muchly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello
My name is Mike stearn and I am new to the Apple VIS website. I sing and play guitar, and I was wondering if there was a good app for recording music and editing tracks. Many of my musician friends who are cited are using an app called Acapella, but after exploring it, it is not voice over accessible. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you very much. app

Hi all!

After switching from Android, I try to find a replacement for various applications that I used on the previous phone. It was extremely convenient to use SM Music Reader to tune the guitar there. However, with tuners for iOS, everything turned out to be somewhat more complicated.

I do not want to start the discussion on the topic of tuning the guitar by ear, for someone, maybe it is convenient, personally to me-categorically not.

I have two questions.
1. When walking, what is the best app for locating the address you are closest to?
2. When traveling by car, what app tells you what is around you in the city you are driving through?

Hello all.

Okay so this is a strange one, and the subject line says it all really.

Since I installed my latest update, two of my apps will not open. The tesco.com supermarket app, and The Google app. both can be perfectly opened by someone with site with VoiceOver switched off, but if VO is on, they just hang on the status bar, and yes, I have uninstalled, and reinstalled both, with the same result.

Even more strangely, one of my friends has had similar issues, but with different apps in his case. One being I messaging, and one being the Dolphin easy reader app.

Hello everyone, Would anyone be able to recommend an accessible podcast listening app allowing blind persons to bookmark certain passages as well as having a good variable speed function? I have come across EyeCatcher, which seems to have increments of .25 for the variable speed option but it does not permit bookmarking. On the other hand, there is an app simply called Bookmark, I believe, but it does not support variable speeds. I would like to have one that combines the two. I am trying to replace the Booksense player and rely solely on an iOS device for listening to all audio content.

iOS 17, latest update. iPhone 12 Pro, and Apple Magic keyboard, English US. When I activate the keyboard, I start getting a message saying "apps library search". There seems to be an edit box there, but I cannot get into typing mode on it. It interferes with apps I'm trying to use. I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. This never happened prior to the iOS update.

So I love TravelEar and DreamEar, especially their soundscapes revolving around trains, planes, car rides, etc. But they only have a certain number of soundscapes. I was wondering if there were other apps like this.
