So I updated to IOS last week and I have noticed that my phone will no longer say the word gun. It will say guns but if it's a singular gun it spells G U N. I am an avid hunter and shooter and follow a lot of firearms forums, pages, etc. and this gets really annoying. Is this happening to anyone else and if so is apple trying to sensor words? If words are being sensored, and I don't care what the word is or how people on either side feel about it politically, if any word is being sensored I am going to have a big problem with apple.

Hi, I have recently upgraded from SE 2020 to a 13 mini and I am now having problems with dictation.
VoiceOver is not automatically rading what I have dictated, so I have to navigate to the edit box to confirm what has been written.
Previously, once I have finished dicgtating, VoiceOver reads what I have said, then I can either edit the text or start dictating again.
Has anyone experienced this before? If so, is there a fix please.
Thank you
I played the Dawncaster RPG. At one point, I tried to open the app switcher by swiping one finger from the bottom of the screen to the top. That's when my VoiceOver got disrupted. I normally use an iPhone 14 with the system language set to Croatian. I use eSpeak NG as the speech synthesis, with the voice Max. The problem occurred when it started speaking in Croatian using the voice Lana instead of Max. I went to the accessibility settings to change it, but it shows that the speech synthesis is eSpeak NG, voice Max, even though Lana is reading the screen.
I would like to know if VoiceOver of iOS 11 or 12 is compatible easy to use with Firefox Quantum to serve as an additional browser on my iPhone. Are the settings of Firefox Quantum easy to modify? Thanks.
I'm having trouble entering numbers when on a phone call. For instance, if I call my bank or into a conference call I can't enter access codes quickly or with any accuracy. I have the headset plugged in but the numbers won't respond or Voiceover announces them unreliably. The numbers seem tow ork with all other apps but not on the phone once I enter a call. Is anyone having trouble with this? This seems to have just happened within the last day or so. Any help would be appreciated.
While using Voiceover and attempting to text message and using the new tricks such as adding MiMe's etc. Voice over only says mime, it would make this usable for blind individuals if the mime's were discribed in some detail. The emoji's are described in this manner and are usable.
Hi. I know this bug is known about, but how the heck do you fix it. My voiceover, and phone will just crash, to the point we have no sound at all, and no haptic feedback. Like it's turned off. Only way I can fix it, is to turn my voiceover off, then back on, hoping my braille display saves my butt! How can we stop it?
With the latest update, I did not find a way to reorder my favorites in the phone app. It is possible though if voiceover is off. I have contacted apple about this. Has anyone found a work around?
I am using an iPod Touch. I didn't used to have this problem, but now when using Voiceover I am not able to reply to emails. Siri will say it can not do it when I try to send it. I can't figure out if the ability to reply to emails is not available now or I have a problem with my iPod. I am using iOS7.
Hi everyone, iβm a voiceover user I have an iPhone 10 R and Iβm on the latest iOS version. This isnβt something new itβs something Iβve experienced for a while and I would like fixed if possible. I have the volume option enable in my rotor and I have it set so the voiceover sounds are the same volume is VoiceOver speech. I want to be able to turn up the volume on my phone so my ringtones are louder but turn voiceover volume so itβs not as loud is this possible to do? So how do I do this?
I am an iPhone 5s user who uses zoom and VoiceOver. I have noticed that when I am in safari and do a google search I can't access more than two pages of search results with voiceover on. For example, if I search "dogs" I can scroll to the bottom of the page and click next to see page two, but once I'm on page two I can't go to any further pages unless I turn off voice over, switch pages and re-turn it back on. Has anyone else experienced this, if so is there a work around you have found? I am running iOS 8.4, but also noticed it in 8.3.
Apologies if this has already been reported here at AppleVis.
I just discovered this bug a little while ago, as I was trying to update my contact photo. Iβm going to basically just copy and paste the email I sent to Apple accessibility, so before anybody asks, yes I did report this. π

To the Accessibility Team at Apple:
VoiceOver and Screen Recognition cannot properly read the contact photo update screen, when choosing photo as the option.
Has anyone reported the bug to Apple where voiceover and Siri talk at the same time? I hope they fix it in iOS 13.3. Is there a work around in the meantime?
So, when I first started watching anime on Netflix, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that if there was no English dubbed version of the show, voice over would read me the subtitles. But an update or so later, it stopped. No matter what I tried: turning on closed captioning in the hearing section, for example. Has anyone had any success with this? If so, can you give me any tips. I have to watch a movie for Spanish class by next week and all of my classmates have the option of turning on the English subs.
Please and thanks in advance for any and all answers
Voiceover lags when viewing product page in the latest update to amazon shopping This only seams to happen after performing a search and tapping the product. I just thought I would point this out since a lot of us here use Amazon. Hopefully this can be addressed in a future update
