While I have no problem using the regular keyboard that comes with iOS, I understand that you can also use third-party keyboards. I was just curious as to which ones are the best to use along with Voiceover? I have Fleksy on my system, including the old version specifically for VO, but have heard there are some issues using it as an alternative keyboard. Is this true?
Also, how do you switch to a different keyboard?
Hi everyone. Currently I'm watching the Hockey game between Aneim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers on 63?. I recommend getting the app on your iPhone because they have a great commentary for blind and visually impaired individuals.
Go Oilers Go!!!
Hello applevis members,
Just wanted to know what the best application to learn brail from would be. It obviously has to be VO accessible. Thank you. -Andrew-
I do a lot of vocal recording, but I don't have easy access to recording equipment. Does anyone know of an iPhone ap for serious music production that works great with voiceover? thanks!
I am, of course making an assumption that there are likely several apps that do this as their main function or as one function among many. I am looking for one that is accessible and preferably easy to use. i will be using it on my phone, but the more problematic use will be with another phone I am helping somebody out with. Their phone started going through its battery capacity like crazy sometime in the last two weeks for no apparent reason.
Hello All,
I was just wondering what everyone believes is the best application for viewing/editing Msft Word/Excel files on your I-Phone? I'm searching for an app that would allow me to do this without much success. It would be nice to be able to download files from my email/transfer them from drop-box to this application for viewing/editing. I would like to use drop-box to then transfer the files to and from my desktop/labtop computers. It would be helpful if this application also aloud one to print from your I-Phone in addition, but that would be icing on the cake.
I'm a singer, though not professional, and like to sing covers with pre-recorded backing tracks, either played by me, downloaded/bought or played by a friend. I was looking for an app that I could use which would let me record my voice over it, with the audio I could then export.
I've attempted to use GarageBand and it worked for a time but recently it's become less accessible for what I wish to do. I have an iPhone 5s running iOS 10.3.2 and I also have a Macbook Air.
There are so many accessible journalling apps nowadays to choose from, and I’m wondering which ones are the best? Ideally I’m looking for one that integrates with ms word, and was actually wondering if anyone had tried ms word and how accessible it was for journalling? Many thanks in advance,
Kez
Silver subject line is pretty self-explanatory. I have a podcast which I use anchor to create, but recently I've had issues with the app kicking me out when I record a podcast episode. I do have the beta of iOS, but that might be the issue. Who knows though. What I will likely do is record it on another audio recording app and import it into anchor that way. So with that being said, what recording apps do you recommend that would be good for podcasting. Thanks a bunch,
Leslie.
Hi all,
Does anyone know of a free barcode reader app that has been recently updated to work with iOS 11? I tried searching the app store and, although I found several of them, some have not been updated for like a year already and some, whilst being updated more recently, has accessibility issues.
Hello apple Vis,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a Calendar Client that can do something a little better than the Default apple Calendar. Like sports schedules? And adding my own events in like appointments, and other things like due dates for certain projects?
Apple's Client does OK, but i never do get any kind of notifications stating that today has this and this going on.
i'm opened to hearing some suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Chuck
Good evening,
Does anyone know if there are certain optimal settings that are required to run the knfb reader on a 4s? Everytime I take a picture I always get no text found no matter what, what's the best way to use this app on a 4s? I'm guessing it's probably something I have set up wrong or doing wrong.
Thanks.
Hi all!
I have a question about cloud storage. And I have some spicific requirements.
My brother makes music and sends me songs via email in mp3 format. I have stored a file in Onedrive and I like it. I do this mainly because I post the songs to Facebook for my friends/family to hear. I leave them in mp3 format rather than convert them to video.
I'm not running out of space but I'd like to avoid that worry/possibility.
I've been asked by a friend who just got an iPad to see if I could find her a good color identification app. I'm aware there are several out there, though I personally don't use any. If it matters, she has an iPad with retina display rather than the iPad Air.
Hi all, I am looking for a color identifier app. Which one is the most accurate? Thank you. Found one I like for money identification but I don't have one for colors.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent accessible set of applications for setting up a media server, and serving media to iPhones, iPads, etc? I was using plex for the longest time but the web interface and iPhone app are becoming too much of a pain to deal with without sighted assistance, and was wondering if anyone had any alternative suggestions?
Hi everyone hope you're all doing well and staying safe. I know there's probably a plethora of posts already on this topic, but I thought I'd ask here for the latest current information. I have an iPhone 12 mini which I would like to use to Scan reed and take pictures of printed documents for example letters and receipts. In everyone's experience what is currently the best app to do this please? Thanks very much for your help everyone stay safe and best regards.
