Hi, I just got a new battery and replaced the screen on my iphone 7 running Ios 12.3.1. When I make a phone call, just holding the phone up to my ear, Voiceover is still active, so that if my cheek rubs against the phone, I can hear it in my ear and sometimes it thinks I'm making a double tap or something. I have to position the phone fairly far away from my mouth so as not to activate Voiceover, which in turn makes me sound far away to the caller on the other end of the line.
iOS and iPadOS
Hi all,
I'm puzzled with something on my iPad, running iOS 7.1.1.
If I search for an app in the App Store and double-tap on a search result, a page is displayed with all of the information about the app. However, using Voice Over, I can't find a way to close that page and continue browsing the App Store. I think, under older versions of iOS, there used to be a "Done" button in one of the top corners — not anymore, as far as I can tell.
Is it possible to have VoiceOver coming through my phone's speaker, while music's going out through a Bluetooth device?
I thought at first the channel options in the VoiceOver audio menu in iOS 10 made this possible, but that's just for turning either the left or right speakers off. I don't really see the point with it, unless some people want music through the left speaker and VoiceOver through the right or something crazy like that.
I just wanna control the music when hanging out with sighted friends without VoiceOver disrupting the music. LOL
Hi. Running IOS8 on an iPhone 5S. I am trying to pair my phone to my Panasonic Micro HiFi System, which permits bluetooth streaming. When I go into Settings, Bluetooth and turn it on, I am told that Device searching is "In Progress", but nothing is found and "In Progress" remains on my screen indefinately. Has anyone else had a similar issue? My daughter is also running IOS8, on an iPhone 5 and has no trouble connecting to the HiFi, albeit that she is not using Voiceover. Should I be doing anything else on the phone in order to detect discoverable bluetooth devices?
I’ve been using iOS devices for many years and love them in general. However there is one very annoying issue for which I do not have a solution and I am not quite sure if it is a bug or just my own ignorance.
When Bluetooth headset is connected to my iPhone and I receive an incomming call after a∷epting it with the button on headset the audio from call is directed to the iPhone’s innternal speaker instead of headset. It does not depend on the iPhone’s model, iOS version or headset model. Sometimes it happens when I listen to music.
Hello guys!
I have some questions:
1: How to switch app? Command tab and command + shift + tab does not work.
2: How do I enable VoiceOver using only the keyboard? Command h also does not work.
3: How to go back and move to the next page on Safari? In windows, for example, the shortcut is alt left arrow and alt right arrow.
I am currently using an SE with version 17.0.2 but when I make a call that requires me to press 1, enter number, or select number, or even if I want to switch to speaker or mute, voiceover stops working for some reason.
I don't know the exact reason but, have thought it may be the microphone or a conflict with speaker output from call and voiceover.
I've been searching for a solution but, the last time anyone has spoken about it, that I could find, was from version 14.
So I updated to IOS last week and I have noticed that my phone will no longer say the word gun. It will say guns but if it's a singular gun it spells G U N. I am an avid hunter and shooter and follow a lot of firearms forums, pages, etc. and this gets really annoying. Is this happening to anyone else and if so is apple trying to sensor words? If words are being sensored, and I don't care what the word is or how people on either side feel about it politically, if any word is being sensored I am going to have a big problem with apple.
Hi, I have recently upgraded from SE 2020 to a 13 mini and I am now having problems with dictation.
VoiceOver is not automatically rading what I have dictated, so I have to navigate to the edit box to confirm what has been written.
Previously, once I have finished dicgtating, VoiceOver reads what I have said, then I can either edit the text or start dictating again.
Has anyone experienced this before? If so, is there a fix please.
Thank you
I played the Dawncaster RPG. At one point, I tried to open the app switcher by swiping one finger from the bottom of the screen to the top. That's when my VoiceOver got disrupted. I normally use an iPhone 14 with the system language set to Croatian. I use eSpeak NG as the speech synthesis, with the voice Max. The problem occurred when it started speaking in Croatian using the voice Lana instead of Max. I went to the accessibility settings to change it, but it shows that the speech synthesis is eSpeak NG, voice Max, even though Lana is reading the screen.
I would like to know if VoiceOver of iOS 11 or 12 is compatible easy to use with Firefox Quantum to serve as an additional browser on my iPhone. Are the settings of Firefox Quantum easy to modify? Thanks.
I'm having trouble entering numbers when on a phone call. For instance, if I call my bank or into a conference call I can't enter access codes quickly or with any accuracy. I have the headset plugged in but the numbers won't respond or Voiceover announces them unreliably. The numbers seem tow ork with all other apps but not on the phone once I enter a call. Is anyone having trouble with this? This seems to have just happened within the last day or so. Any help would be appreciated.
While using Voiceover and attempting to text message and using the new tricks such as adding MiMe's etc. Voice over only says mime, it would make this usable for blind individuals if the mime's were discribed in some detail. The emoji's are described in this manner and are usable.
Hi. I know this bug is known about, but how the heck do you fix it. My voiceover, and phone will just crash, to the point we have no sound at all, and no haptic feedback. Like it's turned off. Only way I can fix it, is to turn my voiceover off, then back on, hoping my braille display saves my butt! How can we stop it?
With the latest update, I did not find a way to reorder my favorites in the phone app. It is possible though if voiceover is off. I have contacted apple about this. Has anyone found a work around?
I am using an iPod Touch. I didn't used to have this problem, but now when using Voiceover I am not able to reply to emails. Siri will say it can not do it when I try to send it. I can't figure out if the ability to reply to emails is not available now or I have a problem with my iPod. I am using iOS7.
