Hi. i noticed something strange. i only wish i could pinpoint when this behavior resurfaced. A few versions of IOS ago, Voice over would take a long time to click off, after it was done speaking. You would only notice this if your ear were next to the speaker, say if it were lying on your pillow. Well in a subsequent version this wait time for lack of a better description was drastically reduced. Until now with IOS13, i noticed that it took i'd say a full two minutes after i stopped interacting with the screen. Let me give you an example.
Hello all:
Iphone 13 pro max here with Ios 17.03,
after upgrading to IOs17, Voce over stopped reading notifications, so, when i got a new notification, i can only here the notification sound, but VOice over do not tell me what is this?
even when my screen is unlocked, so, i should touch the screen and go to the top to see what's happened.
is there a solution for this?
I am a complete newby at using message boards and the like, so I'm probably doing something wrong; I apologize in advance. By way of an introduction, I'll simply say that I'm *totally* in love with my iPhone and Apple for what they've done. It's not at all an overstatement to call it revolutionary. But my question concerns a slight glitch with voice over. The voice has become decomposed/fragmented-it's sort of breaking down. I've tried rebooting by leaving it off over night, turning VO off and back on, etc, but nothing is working.
Just a reminder!!
As we all know. iOS 6 stinks.. Please do your part to help. Of course, post issue here. Most important, report them to Apple at [email protected]. If we report issues in numbers, we can't be ignored. I have never seen an OS so bad.
Recently I have had issues that are really werrd. It says an underscore every time I read a letter. It says underscore before each letter and I have to se] type feedbck to words. I write a llot and have a braille display but I like BSI and could have the physical braille display while it does not work.
Recently, Voice Over has stopped saying the word percent. Battery 93 is now spoken rather than battery 93 percent. This happened a long time ago and I don't remember what I did to fix it. I've rebooted the phone and still no good. Its almost like something is covering the screen. I don't know if that's what's causing the problem or not. Any Suggestions?
I decided to try to use a Siri voice on my iPhone 13 pro today. Sometimes, I just get bored of the same old same. I'm however regretting this decision because of a strange issue. More often than not, it's as if voice over reboots, because I hear the voice say "Screen curtain on," which I do have mine on most of the time. Anyone else experiencing this odd behavior?
Hi All,
I saw on here awhile back where someone was having problems with VO losing focus on a webpage or in webpages in general. I've noticed this too, especially when navigating by headings. Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone know when or if this will be fixed?
I'm running iOs 6 with an iPhone 4S.
Thanks, Shane.
I didn't do anything to caus it, voice over just stopped working. I tried rebooting the phone a couple of times with no luck.
I also did a triple tap on the home button but voice over didn't do anything so I couldn't tell if it was on or off.
I went into iTunes and hit the universal buis button. I think that's what it is called.
I may have the wrong title but it allows you to check a box and turn Voice Over on. The box was unchecked when I went in there.
Once I checked it, voice over came back on.
I knew something was wrong when the speech rate was back to the default.
Does anyone else notice that vo doesn't always make the bong sound to let you know you can't move any further? This may be a hard one to produce because it is intermittent. Restarting vo does fix this. On my way to report my findings to apple.
Hi all,
As the title says, i can not get VO read automatickly other languages, for example Turkish using voice Cem, or Georgian using voice Max.
I added both of those languages in a roater, although still not working.
Am on iOs 16.5. Wonder if i'm doing something wrong, or need to do something else?
Thannks in advance for help.
hi. I have a big problem with vo. my language of vo is set to Romanian as it is my region but when I am on safary navigating on a page vo uses the English voice to read even if there is content in Romanian language or in English. this is really annoing because I can't understand what it says I have to navigate letter by letter.
if some one know the solution I would appreciate very much.
thanks
Hello,
I'm using an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1. I've noticed a few bugs with voice over, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to get around them.
1. When on a call, the VO volume is very low, so I cannot hear which numbers I am pressing when trying to use an automated menu system.
2. When I receive a picture in an iMessage, after double-tapping on the picture, VO doesn't let me do anything until I close the messaging app from within the app switcher.
3. Sometimes, when replying to an email, VO doesn't read the keyboard.
Hello,
When typing with auto-correct enabled on the iPhone, how do you choose not to use an auto-correct option with voice over? Also, is there a way to disable the click sounds that VO makes?
Thanks!
A couple of V O queries.
Am I right to assume that the voice marked as the "Default" voice in the Language Roter is the premium voice?
And, I understand you can change your premium voice, but I've read and followed Holly's post offering advice on this from April 6th and it doesn't seem to work.
Can anyone shed some light on what I may be doing wrong?
Many thanks.
Greetings.
I've mentioned this in a couple threads, but figure it really deserves its own post.
On my iPod Touch 4, 32GB (5GB open) , a reset completely wipes out my VO settings. I like to reset my iPod regularly because it seems to help with performance.
Here's the chain of events.
I use the task switcher to clear out all apps.
I press and hold the lock key until the "swipe to shut down" prompt is heard.
I continue to hold the lock key, and add the home button.
I hold both until I hear the iPod reset.
In iOS 4 and 5, the iPod would reboot.
