iOS and iPadOS

Post Date:

(Note, I use an iPad 7th Gen with Apple’s Smart Keyboard, VoiceOver and running current 15.4.1 iPadOS software.) The Problem: I am frequently unable to move through the text fields and buttons of a new/draft email in the Apple Mail App; Specifically, the text fields of To, CC, Subject and message text field; and the buttons of send, cancel, and add contact. This maneuvering problem happens Using both VoiceOver keystrokes, and finger swiping. Sometimes it works to tap or drag a single finger around the screen to move to one of these elements.

Has anyone run into this scenario?

I have an app on my phone where one section is laid out in a grid format, but all others are laid out as a list. This app, which happens to be sponsored by a church, has their Media tab, where they list all their message series, laid out as a grid. If you were to select one of these series, you get its page laid out as a list.

Hi all!
I know mail on iPhone keeps a list of recent addresses to make it easier to compose an email. I have a lot of these addresses that I no longer need and would like to get rid of them. I can't figure out how to do that. I thought there used to be an option to remove the address but I don't see it any longer.

If any body has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jim

on my iPod touch with iOS 12.4 latest OS, I got an email with a zip file as an attachment. Using my bluetooth keyboard I shared it to files, hit the save on my iPod button but the add button remained dim. How do I save files, like a zip file, and unzip it and read its contents on my iPod touch? Or is this not possible and I should just use my windows computer for this task? and regarding braille, is there a way to turn off the cursor or the cursor blink option?

An interesting article that I read over on AppAdvice. Didn't contain anything more that I didn't know but for some this may be new to you.

This is for all of you music lovers out there. I'm going to be doing a podcast on another generative music app that I found. It's called Noatikl. The app is free, but if you want to Be able to save the files you make with it, you have to pay $10. What would help me most is if you would all tinker around with it and tell me what you want to learn. I learn a lot faster than most people, at least when it comes to technology related things like new apps, so even though I just started this last night I Am already sure I can teach a lot of it to you.

If you would like to participate, please drop me an e-mail and let me know how you think you might be helpful. I will be selecting people this weekend. If interested, please send your note to support at activeinfosys dot com. Thanks! Ben

Hi all. I check frequently for updates, I've never seen this. Instagram was the only update, so after checking what's new i clicked update, not update all. Now, the app store says i have one update available, the update all butoon is dimmed, and instagram is able to be opened from the open button. Has anyone seen this and is there a way to fix it? I'm running latest ios and iPhone 5. I had to reboot the phone, thanks bluetooth issues, and I thought that might help, saddly nope. Is there anyone who can help? Thanks.

Hi all,
I've just updated the Yes Chef app to the latest version 1.3.8. Although the app still has some issues, especially understanding my East London English accent, I still believe that it is a good app for blind people who cook.

Hello all!

I just figured I'd let every one know that Braigo is FINALLY working again and back online! Don't know what caused the crash, but who cares?! I don't know what made me do it, but I just figured I'd try logging in again for the upteenth time. I thought I'd get the same message again, but I didn't! Then I tried to upload a photo and that was successful! While I'll still keep the OCR. app on there as backup and also to use for other stuff, I'm glad Braigo is back! It will go back in my dock, where it belongs! At beast in my opinion!

Hello AppleVis!!

I'm writing to give you an update on something that was posted to the Gen. Chat thread a few months ago about an article on TechCrunch about an app by Braigo Labs, that reads memes & how it was in beta!

Good evening all. Over the last day or so I have been trying to assist a friend to get iMessage working via her Apple Id. Well over 24 hours has passed and, as Apple stated on their support pages, she can now receive iMessages from her Apple Id! Yes! Thank you all for trying to assist in this matter. We're so glad that it's now working. So there you have it. If you have an iPhone and you wish to activate iMessage using your Apple Id, please give it 24 hours or so before trying it. Before then people will try to send you an mms, which may incur charges. Kind regards Chris.

If anyone is trying to add an RSS feed to their News app, and it's not loading, it's due to the News app's integration with Safari. I have been in contact with Apple support, and they gave me the steps.

First, go to Settings.

From there, select Safari.

In the Safari settings, go to something like Clear History.

Double tapp that, and you'll be asked if you want to do that. Double tap on Yes, and all your old history is wiped out, both on your phone and on iCloud.

I hope this helps someone. Thanks.

I have been having this problem since a couple of days now, where if I double tap on the update tab it just shows a heading named updates, and that's it. I have restarted the phone, waited a few minutes, connected it to my wifi just in case my 3g was acting up,no go. I have even turned off vo and had a friend tap the updates tab, they said that it loaded for a while then nothing. just the heading and nothing in the updates. The update tab does show I have 8 updates available, though. Anyone else experienceing this problem?

Hi everyone, Despite the accessibility issues described on the Gmail entry in the App Directory of this site, I use the Gmail app to receive instant push mail notifications on my iPhone and iPad. An update to the Gmail app became available today, version 2.0.1 and it appears that several accessibility problems have been addressed. Although the issues with the Menu button and the menu bar on the left are still there, all buttons now appear to be correctly labeled and composing new mails seems to function correctly now!

Morning all, I posted the below as a follow-up comment to a forum post. This is really cool news, so I'm reposting it here for those who may not have been following the Apple TV thread: Serotek has recently released an update to their IBlink Radio app, which now allows their customers to access Samnet content from their I-Devices. I have used this feature quite a bit while at home and on the go, to listen to audio-described movies and TV shows. It's awesome!
