I'm encountering a new bug with Uber Eats, where if I double tap a restaurant within a list of restaurants, it always opens the first restaurant in the list no matter which one I actually tried to choose. Say for example under the Today's Offers heading is Subway, then Pizza Hut, then Mcdonalds. Double tapping Pizza Hut or Mcdonalds will open the screen for Subway. This happens whether I swipe to or manually locate the restaurant I'm trying to choose.

Hi folks,
well the subject says it all.
When I learned of this offer I signed in to face book messenger,
but I can't get the uber part of it to work with voice over.I think we as blind people should have the same rights as everyone else to use that free ride credit.
Also I haven't used uber since I read here that the contact a driver option is inaccessible.
If anyone can tell me if that was fixed.
Also I belive lyft has fixed there app with this last new update after we emailed them.

1. Which is more accessible using VoiceOver?
2. Which is easier to use in general - i.e., simplicity and useability of the UI.
3. Which service is better (if either) and why.

Hi all. I need to figure out something. I used Uber putting my address in as 123 Joe Dr. Obviously this isn't my address. But because it's a condo complex, and I was outside waiting, the person I was with was able to hail the driver. Now, I was told my pin was somewhere different then I. Keep in mind I was the only one waiting so I'm thinking they go by what their phone says, not visually, oh let's get that woman standing there. Now my question: How if I can, do I use the Center Map pin? I'd like to so someone can spot me if i'm alone.

I wondered if anyone has experience of the latest version of this app. There is a review on this site, but there appears to have been a number of version updates since that review. Being that it costs £3.99, I'd like to be reasonably certain it is still accessible, given that so many apps wind up being inaccessible following updates.

Hi all,So I've been using UK Siri female for ages and yesterday I was happily using my phone when it changed. I turned Voiceover off to allow my partner to look at some maps using my phone, but when it restarted the UK Siri female voice sounded markedly different. It doesn't sound like the compact voice, but it's annoyingly different in several ways. For example, it's a bit choppy now (so it will say insp ire instead of inspire, for example), it also pronounces phone as phoned and is generally irritating. I have no idea what to do to get the old voice back, or if this is even possible.

Hi, can anyone suggest a replacement Bus App for me as my favoured London Bus app apparently will not work with IOS11. I ham trying out Traveline GB and Bus Checker but nither of these are consistant in finding the nearest stops to me.
I suspect I may be missing something so if anyone has experience with these 2 alternatives can they advise me on how to focus them to find the nearest stops to where ever I may be at the time.

I frequently use the application ultimate guitar to find out guitar chords and lyrics which voice-over reads out excellently.
unfortunately, in the last week with a new update it refuses to read out any lyrics or chords as it has done before.
I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter.

Sometimes, when using the on-screen keyboard to type into a text field with VoiceOver on, I am unable to switch to the numeric keyboard. When I tap the Numbers key, it seems to insert a space rather than switching keyboards. This can make it impossible to sign in to a website or app if I've used numbers or special characters in my userid or password. I have reported this to Apple. Have any of you encountered this?

using iOS 14, I tried accessing my passwords in native settings, and it claims that my passwords are empty, then I get bounced back into the main settings screen. Furthermore, I noticed, when trying to enter my password in Acorns, that it was not doing the password sound when you enter it in on the screen, but when I look at it, Voiceover is speaking what I entered out loud. Um, Okay? Anyone else noticing this?

I have been trying to create some shortcuts on Ios 13 with the latest shortcuts app and am finding that I can't add all of the information to actions to make my shortcuts work.
For example, if I try to create a simple shortcut with one action to send a message to a contact, I cannot see how to add the message and the contact name to the action after adding it to the shortcut. I can find no actions on the Voice over rota to do this and can not find any other fields to enter this information.

I recently downloaded lire. I listened to the podcast that dealt with lire, and I went to add a subscription, and I taped on add subscription, and was put in a search box. I didn't see any catagories at all.
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem, and could offer any advice?

I'm trying to help someone who can't adjust the speaking rate of his VoiceOver voice. He has tried restarting the phone and using different voices but the speaking rate slider has no effect on the rate of speech. We are thinking he probably needs to do a factory reset and maybe a reset all settings but before doing that I'm checking to discover if anyone has experienced a similar problem and found a fix. I know he has sought help from Apple support and they have no alternative recommendation.

Well, the so called accessibility team at facebook has done it again. I can no longer close out videos rather they are live or just in general, what is happening is when I try to close a video it just keeps toggling the video controls and the close button. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm not able to complete the checkout process via the amazon app. I can select my shipping address how ever now there's another button you have to click on that confirms that you want that address which does nothing with voiceover. A friend of mine turns vo off and taps and then turns vo back on again to get around it, however I tried it and I always end up on another screen. Does anyone know if amazon is going to fix this issue in a future update? If they are all about accessibility like people claim they are then I think they need to fix this issue asap.

I have a brand new iPhone 5 with IOS 6.2 (according to what voiceover tells me). I am unable to reach the delete button in edit mode to delete a contact. I found an earlier guide for an earlier version of IOS that gave a work-around for this, but I cannot seem to get it to work on my iPhone 5. No matter what I do, I never hear the "delete contact" button. I am a brand new iPhone user, and being about 60 years old, it seems to be a steep learning curve, ha! Also, I am brand new to posting, find navigating a little confusing, so if I get any answers to this problem, I hope I can find them!
