iOS and iPadOS
Do any of you have tips, ideas or templates you can share with me as I try to communicate with app developers regarding accessibility issues? Like most of us, I don't know the language of the app developer, but if I download some app and I see a problem, I need to report it to them. I have one app that has a weird layout, and I have another that just needs to get an update to improve Voice-over support. I want to advise these people, but I want to know what to do short of taking a course in app development. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Anyone have any tips orrecommended bots that can make navigating Discord for a first time user? I say first time, but I've dabbled with it before, but it wasn't enough to remember anything except how to DM someone.
Hav VoiceOver users tried live-streaming to IG or FB? If so, please share tips or tricks to making this a smooth and successful experience? What got me down this rabbit hold was setting up and trying Livestream to Facebook or Instagram on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which wants to connect to the glasses sometimes or start go live sometimes.
I'd really appreciate any advice on how to best navigate the stations in any genre of iTunes Internet Radio with JAWS, version 14 in my case.
Having not seen this mentioned already on here, I am wondering if it's something specific to my configuration. But here goes anyway - for what feels like since iOS 14 was released, VoiceOver's image description feature insists on telling me that nearly every image is a screenshot of a weather forecast.
This is primarily when viewing images in Twitterrific, as this is my main use case for this feature.
So, is anybody else seeing this or something similar, or is it just me?
Hello everyone. Hope you’re well. I have a question for everyone, especially people who resides in the island of Great Britain. What text to speech do you guys use, and which one is the closest to the real UK English? Because I love the American voices, but I wanted to have a little change in my iPhone. So if you could guide me. That would be really grateful. Cheers people.
Hello
1 of a couple of things I love about IOS 13 and above is the ability to change finger gestures. My question is this:
Can one change the gesture: "Double tap with 1 finger and hold, then swipe up."
This is the gesture one uses when you want to create a voice note within Whatsapp?

Hi everyone hope you’re doing well and staying safe. I’m looking for a project manager/to do list app that can work on both macOS and iOS. What options would you recommend? Thank you very much I hope you can help me with this question :-)

My question is should I update it to 8.1? yes, I know it will slow the phone down, but my question is, how much? is it going to be so slow that it will make me want to toss it at a wall? or just a little laggy here and there? anyone have any advice for me? yes I know it's up to me, but I prefer to get input before I do it.
Hello,
I was listening to a podcast about todoist last night, which for those who may be unfamiliar, is a task management app.
This program is available on ios/ipadOS, macOS, Windows, Android, and even Amazon Alexa.
I was wondering if anyone here has used the current version with voiceover and could speak to its accessibility?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
i am using an iPad Pro 2019 in combination with a Logitech Slim Folio Pro keyboard. I can easily turn VO on by triple pressing the home key on the Logitech keyboard. But it won't allow me to turn VO off the same way. This only works when triple pressing the on / off button on the iPad itself which is kinda annoying but would be ok if the corner protection of the logitech case wouldn't be one of a heavy duty outdoor let-a-tank-roll-over-me style which makes it hard to press three times in a row.
I'm using ios 16.02 on an iPhone 8. I downloaded Tom Enhanced, and it work fine for about an hour. Then it disappeared, and Samantha came back to haunt me. Does anyone know why that happened? I'm now using plain Tom but would like the enhanced option.
Hello guys. Is it just me or is the voice Tom, usually used in the podcasts from Thomas to Applevis, has a weird pronunciation and has lost quality in iOS 16? I noticed this in the last podcasts recorded here for the site. If anyone else has information about this, it would be of great help, even for us to compare the differences with other voices, both pre-existing and those that were added as a novelty.
I seriously recommend this app, due to the fact that it works 200 percent well with voiceOver.
All the buttons and fields are well labeled, and the app integrates nicely with GarageBand.
It can convert any file into a ringtone, copy it to the paste-board, then paste it into the audio recorder of GarageBand.
If anyone has any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask
