iOS and iPadOS
Hi all, with the recent removal of my baby sim games from the app store, I'm trying to figure out how to transfer apps from my phone to the computer so I can have a copy of the app file just in case the app has been removed and I have to reinstall it. Here are the steps I have done so far, running latest iTunes version, windows seven, with window-eyes. After hooking my phone to the computer, I access the iTunes menu, then go to device, then transfer purcheases. While some of my purcheases, like audio books and music transferred to my computer, none of my apps transferred.
I used to be able to tap and hold on an app to move to another folder.
Since I OS 8.1.1, moving apps to folders has not been possible.
Could anyone shed some light on how to move an app around and place it in to folders with i OS 8.1.1?
Is this process broken or am I missing a step?
Hi, how can I transfer my own ring and message tones to my phone? I am using windows if that matters.
I have an iPhone 5C which is currently running iOS 7.0.6. I have a bunch of text messages from one person that I would like to save, but they are taking up space on my phone. I also have several voicemail messages from this same person in my blocked folder. I would like to transfer all of these messages from my phone to my PC to be kept as evidence for a possible court case. I know that text messages can somehow be transferred, but I don't know about voicemail messages. Does anyone know how to transfer text and voice messages from an iPhone 5C to a PC? Thanks.
Hello
I wonder if anyone can help with this issue.
I recently purchased an iPhone SE 2020 edition, to replace my iPhone 6S Plus.
I decided to use the option of transferring everything from my old iPhone to my new iPhone, which, I must say, worked beautifully, except for one very annoying thing.
I have some apps on my old iPhone, which are no longer available on the App Store, so Iām unable to download them on my new iPhone.
Hello, I'm not sure if this can be done, but it sure would be helpful. I have a little over a hundred books on my iPhone4s. I've now got a 5s, and would like to get these seventeen gigs into the new phone. Bard Mobile is listed in the file sharing part of ITunes, but it just has an inbox part that's empty. I understand that I could add .zip files to this portion from the computer, so that books already downloaded could be put onto the device. However, can I do the opposite?
The battery of my old 4th gen Nano has stopped holding a charge. It works when plugged in and I can add and remove contents, but that is it. I still prefer the click wheel for listening to books and tend to prefer listening to music on a device other than my phone when performing activities like writing where I do n't want any interruptions. Because of this, I've managed to track down and order a brand new 5th generation Nano to replace the one that is on its way out. I figure it will give me a bit more time to get used to the idea of saying goodbye to the click wheel.
Hello.
When setting up a new iPhone we are presented with suggestion to transfer data from old iPhone to a new one. During that proccess there is a step that requires capturing screen of the old iPhone with the new device. So I am wondering if it is at all accessible&& or restoring form a backup is the only way to go for us?
Thank you very much in advance!
Hi everyone! Is there a sane way to transfer files, both text and or audio, from an iPhone 8 to a PC without having to use iTunes? I do subscribe to Apple Music if that makes a difference.
Hi all.
I want to transfer files, currently music but possibly other stuff as well, from Windows to my phone without using iTunes. Is there an easy way to do it? I could do it over wi-fi, assuming files would put everything in the right place, because most if not all of it is on a NAS. But I wonder if there's something that's faster, e.g. plugging into a USB port or the like.
I have a problem: on my Windows computer, I have about twenty-five folders. Each of these contains one audio file in .mp3 format. I would like to move all of these folders and files to my iOS device for listening to in an app such as Voice Dream Reader. I am wondering if there is a way to transfer these folders, and if there is a better app than Voice Dream for listening to the files in.
I cannot transfer the folders by email because this would be a very time-consuming process, and the eemail service might reject the files as they are at least 30 megabytes each.
I recently purchased an iPhone 12 Pro Max and attempted to transfer the data from my old phone to my new phone. Someone from Apple Accessibility talked me through the process. It went well up until the end when it just sat at 100%, but 2 minutes remaining. I left the phones sitting next to each other with plenty of power for three days, but still got two minutes remaining.
I am rtrying to transfer audio book material from my laptop to my Read2Go app, on my iPhone 5S, using the latest build of iTunes. In previous iterations of this software, when my phone was connected to my laptop via USB and iTunes was open, I could easily select my phone, then Apps, then Read2Go and I then had facilities to select a file from my PC to transfer over. With the new iTunes, I cannot find this facility, despite selecting my phone and Apps. Has anyone managed to work out how to do this? I would appreciate any step-by-step instructions.
I'm trying to copy my personal library of DVD & Blue Ray movies I have purchased & own into my iDevice for my private personal viewing & entertainment. Does anyone do this & if so, how? What accessible software do you use to accomplish the task? I understand one way is to copy from a DVD drive to my PC & then transfer to iTunes & then transfer to an iDevice. Is there a simpler way to perform this task? Also is there a way to transfer movies to some other type of device & then hook it up to an iDevice (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, etc.) to view movies?
Hi all
I heard this morning that there are apps available which basically turns your iphone into a usb drive so that you can manage it like a memory stick. This means that you can simply copy and paste files to it like a memory stick like transferring music to any ordinary mp3 player. I detest iTunes to have to do this and would like to find an alternative option. Can this indeed be done?
