I have tried some apps like "documents from readdle" and some others but none of these seem to make the grade. Either they're not 100% accessible or are not very nice to use with VoiceOver, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a document managing app. I checked here on applevis but the entries are a little old so maybe there's something new out there. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank and have a nice day,
Fritz
Hi there, not sure if a question like this should go here, but here goes.
I recently jailbroke my ipad mini...it was off warranty anyhow since I got it back in 2013 so i thought why not.
I started experimenting with this cydia tweak called autotouch. i noticed that when voiceover is on, it will not register my touches. When it is off, it will. The problem is remembering where buttons are in apps or just purely finding them without speech. Have any of you ever experimented with autotouch and if so, what was the best way you found to record your macros?
hi everyone, do you know that there is a blackberry messenger app on the iOS? if you don't know, there is one on the app store, and it worked verry well with VoiceOver, with only one button, I think that wasn't labeled, and I have no idea what it does.
to use this app, first you need to register your own account, then a blackberry pin will be created for you.
I can send messages pretty well, but my problem is: when someone sent me a voice mail, I don't know how to play it.
It seems the Uber eats app for iOS just keeps getting worse and worse. As of the most recent update, when you are flicking left or right through the main list of restaurants, instead of each restaurant being a single focusable item, now you have to flick three or four times per restaurant because the restaurant name, approximate delivery time, ratings and other information are now each their own element, making scrolling the list of restaurants even more tedious than it already was. This is so frustrating.
Up until yesterday, I was able to use Cracker Barrel's food app very easily. I was able to look at my rewards points and everything else that I needed to do. After yesterday's update, it seems to be all images that I can't maneuver with VoiceOver. I have sent an email to Cracker Barrel to make them aware of this. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can navigate the app? Thank you.
i just came across this post on twitter. it contains a link to the blogging service where roger posts news about their app.
As of March 15, 2017, Roger will officially be pulled from the app store and no messages will be sent or received. Here's the blog confirming it https://t.co/bZaHDyTjue
I must say I'm extremely sad to see roger go, as it's given me the opportunity to make some really awesome friends. I guess we'll see what happens next.
This guide discusses details on Apple Spatial Audio, as well as Personalized Spatial Audio. I will also mention my thoughts and findings when experimenting with Spatial Audio.
Hello Everyone,
I'm a long-time iPhone user, with a curious question.
I've been using the iPhone and other Apple products since I got my very first iPhone 10 years ago!
My question, which I've never been able to figure out until now, is, "What's the difference between "bookmarks and favorites" in Safari?
Or, is there a difference at all?
Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide.
I was trying to organize my list, which is what prompted this question. I don't know why, I never asked this sooner.
Dear everyone, the 3d touch is no longer supported by the latest version of IPhone, but it can still be used in the 3D touch-supported device with identical function as the long press. Since the argument of the disappearance of 3D touch is rather heated in the sighted world, I would like to bring this topic into discussion. IN term of blind perspective. Do you think the lost of 3D touch is a regression? A little bit way of topic, since IPad receive slight heavy attention from Apple through new IPad OS, do you think it'll bring more benefit for person with visual-impaired people?
Am using my Iphone 12 mini with my bluetooth Hearing aids, and sometimes need to disconnect them for 5 or 10 minutes, is there an easy way to this from the home screen other than going to settings/bluetooth/device name an disconnect or connect it?
like creating wedget for it for instance?
thanks in advance
I tried using iCloud before, but didn't have any luck with it and found it very confusing. Is there another way to move files between a computer to an iPhone? There was a thread that talked about an app called anytrans, but when I searched for it all I found was something to transfer photos. If someone can help someone who's feeling quite stupid because they can't figure this out I hope you can enlighten me a bit. Thanks for reading.
Today, when I used my iPhone, I discovered the default voice for Voiceover is back.
The eloquence voice that came with iOS 16 was not available.
It was with us when iOS 16 was released, and it was still with us when Apple released iOS 17, and now that Apple has released iOS 17.0.2, it seems to be removed.
As the post title says, the end of Skype is approaching. My experience with the Skype app on both the iPad and iPhone got stressful. From the inability to stop it from repeating the same messages more than three times, to being unable to flick around and hearing the messages over and over again, to suddenly being unable to use Braille Screen Input in the message box, it just seemed to get worse by the day.
Disclaimer: Some people have hearing loss and may find that one specific TTS voice suits their unique needs better. The following post is a general commentary about my experience with text-to-speech technology.
🌟 Hello Fellow Apple Users! 🌟
I've been navigating the world of text-to-speech for over 35 years and recently had an epiphany I just had to share with you all. After using the ChatGPT iPhone app, I found myself wondering: Is this the most realistic voice I've ever encountered, or does the content make it feel that way?
Hi, guys.
So I'm unbelievably frustrated the farmington bank mobile app for iOS is not accessible with VoiceOver. When you swipe, VoiceOver says button, over and over again. Granted, I could do my banking online, but why should I have to when others do it on their smartphones? Are any of you experiencing this issue? I think we should write to farmington bank and politely suggest how they might go about putting proper labels on those buttons so VoiceOver can describe them to the user.
Has anyone else noticed this. If so, please let me know. Since the 8.1.3 update, Siri has lost its energetic/expressive nature. In other words, it just isn't as chipper/cheerful/peppy, whatever word you want to use. Has anyone else experienced this? I first noticed it when I asked it to tell me the temperature. Remember the way it used to say BRRR, I can't even type the way it said it, but anyway now it just says the word brrr, it doesn't have the expressiveness anymore.
Okay, so I'm using an iPhone XS Max, and my question is this. Is there a setting that would allow me to make screen recordings with smaller sizes? I made a 49 minute video, which is over 6 GB. Is this normal? Can something be done about it?
