iOS and iPadOS

Hello Just wondering if there exists an app that helps blind/low vision users take photos? There is a phone with this feature, however it is not an iOS device and is not accessible. It basically detects and announces the number of faces, and says whether to "tilt up", "tilt down", "move left", "move right", "closer", etc. and "smile" when it determines that it is ready. I've heard that Guided Photo Pro does the trick but it has not been updated in a while.

Hello:
I love taking photos for me, and i do not have sited people all the time, so, am using just the default camera settings, and when Voice over told me that am on center, i capture the photo, but many people told me that it is not good.
SO, are there some issues or things that i should do in the camera settings or something to help me taking better photos? and is there a podcast or something about a capturing as a blind person?
Thanks in advance

Hello,

I have a couple of things in messages I need to take a screenshot of. Does it matter where VoiceOver is focused? For example, if the VO cursor is focused on one message, would it just screenshot that one message or the entire screen? And is there any way of me being able to tell how much it has taken a picture of?

Thanks,
Callum

Hello,

An advisor told me as part of a task that needs doing is shooting a video, selfee style. Is this possible?

I know the app SelfeeX, which allows you to successfully take Selfee photos only using VoiceOver and guided direction via voices, however I need to do this as part of a video.

Is this possible, ideally without sighted help? That's always the aim.

Thanks.

Hi there, I'm virtually blind, but want to make use of photo-based apps such as Cardmunch (to scan business cards) and oMoby. Can anyone suggest any general guidelines I might use to take pictures these apps will recognize? Any attempts made so far are "too dark" or "too blurry" for adequate recognition. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi everyone. I have been trying to take more videos of my nieces and nephews. I have AirPods in my ears constantly so I can interact with my phone with some privacy. The problem is that when I try to take a video, it seems like it is using my AirPods microphone instead of the phone mic, which does not make for good audio for whatever I'm videoing. Does anyone know a solution for this? I'm not seeing any way of choosing a microphone to use when videoing.

Hi AppleVis Forum
I found this new app! I didn't purchase because I do have all of OCR and scanners apps on my iOS device, I couldn't have communication to the developer .
Have you purchased, have you tested this app? Let me know on this post to share everybody the info.

Hi
No matter what I do, I cannot get the chime app to work on my iPhone running iOs 15. Is there an alternative to the chime app that will announce the time with speech every 15 minutes?
Thanks

Is the Talking Goggles app still working? I'm trhying to use it on an iphone 5. I've followed earlier instructions on getting the app to work. When I choose video, my statis line says: "network connection in progress". I've waited a few minutes but still don't get a response. The lighting is good.

Can someone please explain how to use the talking goggles app? I have not found any instructions within the app.

Hi, I downloaded goggles because I was impressed with the podcast I heard on applevis. I think it sounded excellent and I can't wait to try it out. I open it but I don't get any speech. I put it on video camera but I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. My language is on English and I don't know what else to try. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am using an Iphone 4s. I have heard people raving about it so I know it should work. Please help!

I'm wonder if anyone who has updated to IOS 13.1 has had this problem? If I'm talking on the phone and receive another call voiceover starts announcing the caller and number so that it interferes with my conversation and I have to tell the other person to wait while I silence it before asking them to repeat what they were saying when voiceover interrupted us.

Is anyone having problems making new recordings on Talking Tags on their iPhone? I haven't created new tags in a while but I have a batch of things I really need to tag. The program seems caught in perpetual 'processing file.' I tried deleting and reinstalling the app and rebooting the phone and it still says the same thing. I recently updated to iOS9, could this be the problem? Are there other reliable tag readers that use QR codes or other types of tags?
Thanks!

I heard that the talking tuner ap is extremely helpful. However, I play my guitar in alternate tunings. Will the tuner help me tune my guitar to e flat for example? What message will it give me when I am in my e flat tuning? Thank you for your help.

Hi, has anyone been using the Talking Tuner app from hotpaw on an Iphone 6s? It doesn't seem to work at all well anymore which is a shame as it was a fantastic app. I don't think this is an ios9 problem as it seemed to be working fine on my 5s last week after I'd updated. Phil

Hi all. Today Recently I started to find out that the app for language exchange tandem started to become less and less accessible. First profile page became inaccessible and now I found out that community tab stopped being like that, users are simply not read which is really disappointing. Do you have any alternatives to tandem? I used hellotalk, but it's accessibility really needs to be improved. It is usable. Or maybe you can share other methods how you find language partners, that would be also interesting to know.
