Hi I received a large number of notifications on the lock screen and in notification centre sometimes the message will cut out and go silent halfway through the notification with voice over does this happen to anyone else and what could I do to you so this little niggling issue

Hi all,
I just updated to iOS17 the other night, and so far I am impressed. VoiceOver is a lot more responsive than it has ever been on my iPhone SE second generation. However, I'm having one problem that is kind of annoying. Despite my verbosity settings under system notifications being set to speak count, when a notification comes in, the entire notification is read. How do I fix this?

Hi all, Is this a bug? While DO NOT DISTURB is on, notifications are showing up. And when my alarm goes off in the morning, while the alarm is ringing, VO is also reading the notification that says, "Calls will be silenced...". The only work around I know for this is to turn VO speech off and then turn it back on after waking up. I thought that when in DND, notifications shouldn't be coming up at all. Thanks for any suggestions.

Is there any way to set notifications ONLY for certain threads you wish to follow in the native Mail app?I am looking for a way to get Lock Screen notifications only for particular threads I wish to follow and not for every single new message I get.

Hi!
I use the Gmail app from Google but yesterday I didn't get a notification from the app.
What have I tried so far?
I tried deleting and reinstalling the app onto my iPad mini 2.
I tried sending myself a test email and I received the notification from the gmail app. However, I got an email from AppleVis a few minutes ago but I didn't receive the notification.
Has anyone else experienced this and how did you resolve this?
Thanks for your hebp!

Is there any way to set notifications for the native Mail app to make them come up like those, say, of Facebook?

In other words, how do I get a notification to come up on my Lock Screen whenever I receive a new e-mail message?

I tried going into Settings > Notifications and setting "show on lock screen" on and setting banner alerts when my screen is unlocked. Still, I have since received new messages and have not received any alerts on my Lock Screen or otherwise since I set the settings.

I have an issue with the Weather Gods app.
For some reason the notifications are not working. I have the full version as I got for purchasing it before the subscription.
I have restored the purchases and it still does not work.
The notifications were the only thing I used the app for.|

I have set ten notification and notifications aren't paused and I have checked in the native settings app.

Have you ever been reading an article in the news app or on a website only to have a notification come through and interrupt voiceover halfway through a very long paragraph, forcing you to either start that paragraph over or try to swipe your way back to where you left off? I find this to be a constant annoyance and one for which I think there could be a clean solution: an option in the voiceover settings that basically says suppress any notifications while voiceover is reading an element.

I have been very happy with IOS 12 over all and have found the release to be one of the more stable that I can remember.

I traded in an iPhone 5s yesterday and bought an iPhone 7, and I turned notifications off on the 5s before I gave it up but now that I've turned notifications back on on my new phone the notifications aren't showing up on my locked screen although it shows in notifications that it is set to do that. Can anybody tell me what might be wrong and/or what I need to check?

Hi everybody, I wanted to share something I found that resolved a major issue for me. Whenever I received a notification either in the lock screen or or the main home screen or oranywhere within the phone all it stated was which app the notifications were from so I found out that if you go to notification settings, locate the app that you want and then scroll all the way to Show Previews and select always, not only will you hear which app is sending you the notification but you will hear the actual notification in full.

Hi, I noticed notifications aren't being spoken. I went into verbosity and set them to speak. This happens when the phone is locked. Any help is appreciated.

Hi

I have installed the app called Overcast on my iPhone, with iOS11.4 installed.

1. I have activated the notifications in the Overcast settings, and also checked that Overcast is allowed to send me notifications in the iPhone Settings>Notifications. All is OK.

I not receive notifications from Overcast when podcasts I am subscribed to release new episodes.

Is there an error in Overcast?

2. I also have problems when I will setup play lists etc. in Overcast, but I not can find a help file for the app.

Is there an help file?

Hi, I'm using an iPhone 10 with the latest iOS 11.2.1 and have a very annoying intermittent issue where notifications will repeat over and over again even when I press the side lock button on the phone. I called Apple support about this and they hhad me turn off notifications for news and then try turning notifications back on but this did not help. I have this issue with notifications from several apps including text messages. another strange thing is that now this seems to also happen on my iPad mini 4th generation.

Anybody notice this as of today? Notifications delayed by 10 seconds all of them on my phone. I only noticed because I hear the notifications on my ipad before my phone. Used to hear both at the same time. On Ios 18.1 have been since it came out. Restarted phone. turned wifi off and on. airplane mode. Any other ideas or anybody else experiencing this?

New phone, Voiceover won't speak notifications on apps like Mail, Facebook and Twitter. I had it checked by sighted assistance and they are there. Tried resetting the device, which provided a temporary fix, but problem came back again very quickly.

Hello, I hope to explain well my question. If you are using for example facebook and a person writes you a message, you receive a notification in which you can listen to a part of the message. if the message is quite long, you miss most of its part, and you must open it to read. With Android you have not this problem, since Talkback is able to read all the message, so it is really confortable.
