New Siri voices in IOS 14.5

iOS and iPadOS

MacRoomers have it that 2 new Siri English voices will be available in IOS 14.5. Just wondering if one will be able to use them within VoiceOver?

At first I glossed this over but tried the new voices and yes, the third voice is quite awesome. Just a bit of a warning, the voices for voiceover are 400 MB or so. I have not tried the voices with voiceover yet. Hopefully they are responsive.

Hopefully they'll be made available in german too, at least at some point.

The new voices sound promising. Alex will be hard to beat though. He is serious, human sounding and speaks a lot of words accurately. I wish the masculine American Siri voice sounded more masculine though. He sounds like a beta male.

As for other languages, English is the world’s language so it is no surprise Apple added to it. I have a Greek friend who uses the iPhone and Siri in American English.

I did not know about it. excited to check the video link posted here in the comments. this is probably going to be the last major update to my IPhone so I'm excited! I know apple doesn't leave older phones and will probably continue giving us security updates.. it still gives phones with IOS 12 updates so I'm still happy.
thanks for the info!

I just heard those voices and they sound amazing!
I'm excited.
I agree with someone who said English is a world language. I'm from India and I use my IPhone with the US Siri female voice because that just sounds more human and interesting to me. my second favorite after elequents.. ya I'm an oldy I love elequents.

I'm not all that impressed. I'll just stick with my Australian male voice. Thanks for the link. It was a better demonstration than I first heard.

I agree with the people saying that English got added first because it is kind of the world language, maybe you misunderstood my comment. I wanted to say that hopefully other languages like german get upgraded siri voices in the future too.

I agree
though I really love using the voice I currently use, the Indian voices which apple added in IOS 13 need a serious upgrade! no offence to whoever uses it, but I dislike them. they're so robotic and not Indian at all... like we also speak english.. and google does a better job with its assistant voice...

Hi BlackCat, Thanks for sharing these. Right now, I have the Siri male and just might give the new male voice a try.

Not that impressed either, but it's nice with some variety. Also hope this will include more languages in the future.
