I replaced my old iPhone with a shiny new 13 Pro yesterday. The automatic transfer of apps and data seemed to go very well, and within a reasonable time I was up and running.
Then the issues arose.

hi, when using my iPhone6 with a telephone banking speech programme keypad the voice over volume suddenly decreases, is audio ducking ment to be involved at all? what am I missing here? many thanks,

Last night, I received a call from a friend who was using her iPhone. The voice quality was muffled & muddy. There was so little frequency information that my friend didn't even sound like herself.
She was on the Verizon network.
In contrast, calls on Nokia Simbian phones sound crisp & clear.
So do calls from my roommate's 5 year old $20 Tracfone.
Do all 3 US networks sound this bad when making calls on iPhones?
I love my iPod Touch, but I am not willing to pay hundreds of dollars in order to make sub-standard sounding phone calls.

Sometimes when I receive a voicemail it's from some sales person and I want to stop playback but I can't figure out how to do it. I won't go through the list of things I've tried but none work. Probably some simple thing. I'm using an iPhone 8 with voiceover and the most recent version of ios. Thanks for your assistance.

Since upgrading to iOS 15, I've noticed that VoiceOver focus sometimes jumps to the menu bar. I'm using an iPhone SE 2020.
Most recently, I noticed this while launching the Xfinity My Account app. After launching the app, focus jumped to the menu bar and VoiceOver announced my current wi-fi connection. Dragging my finger across the screen revealed no elements other than the menu bar. I toggled VoiceOver off and back on to resolve the issue and use the app. I just tried it again and didn't encounter the issue.

I am having problems managing the various volume settings in I O S 18. For example, when I schedule a timer, voiceover is at a comfortable volume. But, when the timer expires, and the sounder plays, the timer sounder will play at a normal volume for a couple seconds, and then will automatically fade way down. Voiceover is typically very much louder at this point than it was when I scheduled the timer. When I cancel the timer, voiceover returns to normal.

Hello,
For the past few days my iphone 5S will not go over to autolock. It's always on. I have tried terminating all apps with the app switcher but it does no good. I'm afraid to push the power button on the top of the iphone because I don't know what voiceover will do, and I might lock myself out of the phone.

Hi all this is driving me crazy and I have tried everything that I can think of. I created a playlist in Itunes in order to synk it to my phone. I called the playlist plane. I then hit enter on where it says Iphone and tab until I get to the box that says summery and has the other options of music, tones, books and thins like that. But I do not see the playlist in this box anywhere. Is it not supposed to be in this box so it can synk with the IPhone? I think Itunes is so freaken stupid.

Has anyone here successfully gotten Dell Mobile Connect to work with their iPhone? I was able to get through setup by using Seeing AI. The iPhone app is about as far from accessible as you can get.
When I am using the actual app on windows there are only a few things I can do. I can’t read text messages I have received. I know they are there because I’ve had a sighted person look. I can’t read the contacts list. I am able to send a text message if I manually enter the number.

I was wondering if Seeing AI, KNFB reader Etc has taken advantage of the multi lens setup with the two cameras on the plus models. I'm looking to buy a new iPhone and would like to know if the two cameras would make a difference using those apps. Also, has anyone experimented with purchasing camera attachments for their phones to improve image quality with those apps?

I updated to ios 7 last night, and it downloaded fine. When it was installing however, it took hours, and still hasn't come back on. i asked for sighted help, and they said it has the apple logo with a bar under it. No one i asked knew what this meant. My phone has been plugged in, and i tried turning voice over on and off, but nothing happens. i don't even know if my phone is on. i tried to connect it to my computer, but my computer acted like the phone was off. I don't know what to do with it. Is it still installing? please help.

Alright, so it’s either my stupidity or my computer being an absolute annoyance, but I can’t get my iPhone into recovery mode to install iOS 16.6 and take off this God for second iOS 17 beta!
I’m trying to give this phone to my mum, and it’s not really helping that all of my data including my messages on here and I wanna get all of that off

I'm Rob. First time posting, but I've bopped in and out from time to time. :) So my query is thus: I am looking at updating to an iPhone X series, but I don't know if I should get the XS or XR. Where am I going with this, considering it's posted in the apps forum? Well, I was curious for those of you who have an iPhone X: Are there any advantages with accessible apps for us that may operate better utilizing the secondary camera (particularly with AR [augmented reality] apps that could aid us as blind people?)

I have just looked at the photos app for the first time since updating to iOS 14. What have they done to it? Using voice-over I can’t make head nor tale of navigating through the photos. If I put a finger on the screen it tells me there is a photo but if I flick left or right to get to another one like I used to it just goes to the tabs or do something else. Any ideas or suggestions? Using voice-over.

Hello all. Thanks to the replies I received from the community and my own research I have settled on an Iphone XR. As I was upgrading from an Iphone 6S Plus I have seen a significant improvement in performance. I find the lack of a home button annoying, but I know I'll get used to it. What is a significant frustration is Face ID. It recognizes me, but it takes so bloody long to unlock your phone in comparison to touch ID. My question is simple: is there a way to have the phone actually open up when Face ID is successful?

hello gang,
so i recently got myself a new iphone XR and am loving it.
however, i noticed an issue while charging it's battery.
for some reason, i noticed that the battery never seems to get fully charged, and all i hear when i touch the battery status is battery charging 100%.
from what i know, voiceover should say on AC power indicating that the battery is fully charged
i even tried turning on airplane mode and charged it the entire night; but the battery never reached the 100% AC notification.

Following upgrading my iPhone X are 2 iOS 14 The Disney+ app is not accessible to me. When I open the app it just reads the status line and will not read anything else on the screen. When I turn VoiceOver off and ask for the family to use it it works fine. My wife has an iPhone 11 and doesn’t have a problem. Is anybody else with the eggs are having this issue?

Hi, I just bought my new iPhone XS, and I am loving it so far. my probably most annoying issue is that when I get texts, or emails, etc, the lock screen won't let voiceoverr read the message, or read me the subject of the email. Can this be fixed? I went from my iphone7 running iOS 12 ato my iPhone xs running iOS 12, and this is the most annoying issue so far. I hope someone has any clues to see if this can be fixed? or is it by design? or a bug?

My trouble is not with a hardware-based, physical keyboard I'm trying to link to my iPhone, but rather with the software keyboard that is native to the phone itself.
