I am having a strange issue all of a sudden with my phone. My microphone refuses to record my voice at all. The only place it works is dictation. I tried recording a video, and it recorded voiceOver but not my voice. I tried an audio message, the same thing happened. No one can hear me on calls, most of the time, but sometimes they can hear me fine. I tried cleaning everything out, and it worked for a while, but now it seems that's not working either. Yet, when I used dictation, it was accurate and heard me correctly.

Since late in the iOS 11 release cycle, the volume during a telephone call on my iPhone SE has been too low. Has anyone else noticed this issue? I am a beta tester, and have reported the issue to Apple using Feedback during iOS 12 beta.

Hi everybody, I recently got an iPhone SE 2022 edition a couple days ago, and I have noticed a very interesting issue with the speakers, I do not know if this is normal, both left and right speakers work, and they sound amazing when the volume is all the way up , however, when I turn the volume all the way down, I can hear a faint and slightly distorted sound from voiceover and any other audio that is playing, I can only hear this when I’m in a really quiet environment, and when the phone is close to my ear, I just want to make sure that this is normal, and that my phone is not defectiv

Good afternoon. I am using a Bluetooth keyboard with my iPhone and for some reason the speech rate keeps changing. I then have to go to settings and adjust the speech. is it possible to adjust the rate in five percent increments, or just by ten? I have the my AT&T app. Who would I need to contact concerning the inaccessibility of the app with VoiceOver with the updated version of the app? Thank you.

Hi, all. I'm helping a friend with Zoom. She has not signed up for a free account yet. I send her my meeting link and when she goes to the link, she's taken to a screen that offers four pages as reported by VoiceOver including the sign-in or sign-up screen. None of these can be activated by a double-tap with VoiceOver. Neither can we activate the Settings button. We are not prompted with any permissions requests for the microphone or camera. We're just stuck in a holding pattern and she cannot go to my Zoom meeting. Any ideas why this is happening?

We are having trouble with texting on the iPhone. This all started when we upgraded to iOS 12. At first we would get a Message Failed to Send when trying to text certain people. Verizon suggested we turn off iMessage which solved that issue. But now we’re getting each reply twice. We’ve updated to latest version of iOS and still having issues. We’re using Siri to send and read messages. Anyone have ideas how we can fix this??

I recently purchased an external hardware timer that connects to my iPhone using a USB-C adapter. The problem is that, when I plug it in, VoiceOver immediately goes silent. With sighted assistance, I've determined that iOS is asking me whether the device is a headphone or another device, and we have selected other device. Still, no VoiceOver output, as if all sounds are being routed through the USB-C and into this device that has no way to play sounds.

Last night, I received a call from a friend who was using her iPhone. The voice quality was muffled & muddy. There was so little frequency information that my friend didn't even sound like herself.
She was on the Verizon network.
In contrast, calls on Nokia Simbian phones sound crisp & clear.
So do calls from my roommate's 5 year old $20 Tracfone.
Do all 3 US networks sound this bad when making calls on iPhones?
I love my iPod Touch, but I am not willing to pay hundreds of dollars in order to make sub-standard sounding phone calls.

Sometimes when I receive a voicemail it's from some sales person and I want to stop playback but I can't figure out how to do it. I won't go through the list of things I've tried but none work. Probably some simple thing. I'm using an iPhone 8 with voiceover and the most recent version of ios. Thanks for your assistance.

Since upgrading to iOS 15, I've noticed that VoiceOver focus sometimes jumps to the menu bar. I'm using an iPhone SE 2020.
Most recently, I noticed this while launching the Xfinity My Account app. After launching the app, focus jumped to the menu bar and VoiceOver announced my current wi-fi connection. Dragging my finger across the screen revealed no elements other than the menu bar. I toggled VoiceOver off and back on to resolve the issue and use the app. I just tried it again and didn't encounter the issue.

I am having problems managing the various volume settings in I O S 18. For example, when I schedule a timer, voiceover is at a comfortable volume. But, when the timer expires, and the sounder plays, the timer sounder will play at a normal volume for a couple seconds, and then will automatically fade way down. Voiceover is typically very much louder at this point than it was when I scheduled the timer. When I cancel the timer, voiceover returns to normal.

For the past few days my iphone 5S will not go over to autolock. It's always on. I have tried terminating all apps with the app switcher but it does no good. I'm afraid to push the power button on the top of the iphone because I don't know what voiceover will do, and I might lock myself out of the phone.

Hi all this is driving me crazy and I have tried everything that I can think of. I created a playlist in Itunes in order to synk it to my phone. I called the playlist plane. I then hit enter on where it says Iphone and tab until I get to the box that says summery and has the other options of music, tones, books and thins like that. But I do not see the playlist in this box anywhere. Is it not supposed to be in this box so it can synk with the IPhone? I think Itunes is so freaken stupid.

Has anyone here successfully gotten Dell Mobile Connect to work with their iPhone? I was able to get through setup by using Seeing AI. The iPhone app is about as far from accessible as you can get.
When I am using the actual app on windows there are only a few things I can do. I can’t read text messages I have received. I know they are there because I’ve had a sighted person look. I can’t read the contacts list. I am able to send a text message if I manually enter the number.

I was wondering if Seeing AI, KNFB reader Etc has taken advantage of the multi lens setup with the two cameras on the plus models. I'm looking to buy a new iPhone and would like to know if the two cameras would make a difference using those apps. Also, has anyone experimented with purchasing camera attachments for their phones to improve image quality with those apps?

I updated to ios 7 last night, and it downloaded fine. When it was installing however, it took hours, and still hasn't come back on. i asked for sighted help, and they said it has the apple logo with a bar under it. No one i asked knew what this meant. My phone has been plugged in, and i tried turning voice over on and off, but nothing happens. i don't even know if my phone is on. i tried to connect it to my computer, but my computer acted like the phone was off. I don't know what to do with it. Is it still installing? please help.
