This has been an off and on problem for me since iOS 17 and I'm wondering if anyone else deals with it and if there's a solution.

Periodically and seemingly at random, when viewing a webpage with Voiceover, paragraphs will repeat themselves. The only solution when this starts happening is to close and restart Safari. Except on search results from DuckDuckGo, those will always repeat. It makes reading a whole page with the swipe down gesture impossible.

Hello,
Could anyone help me? I would like to have a script that turns off voiceover and sets the screen brightness to 50% and the second one for turning on voiceover and setting the screen brightness to 0%.

Has anyone else tried to assign an iOS shortcut to a keyboard or braille display command in the Voiceover settings under all commands? I have been trying to do this since version 13.0 when it became theoretically possible. It has never worked. It still doesn't work for me on iOS 14. I know my shortcuts work because they run just fine if I assign them to a gesture, even the new back-tap. Unfortunately gestures aren't that helpful when I am trying to use my iPhone or iPad with a braille display or keyboard. It really interrupts the workflow to switch to using the screen.

Hi. I'm using Zoom, on an Iphone 14 PRO MAX, running IOS 17.02. I have an external keyboard linked to my phone, via Bluetooth. Is there a set of keystrokes I can use, to mute/unmute, turn video on and off etc? When I use the touch screen, Voiceover is not reliable on focusing on the correct buttons and I often have a lot of swiping to do, so going to try with my external keyboard. Also, is there a way to silence announcements of people posting messages during a call, as well as announcements of people joining and leaving calls?

I'm trying to create a shortcut where everytime I use speak screen on a book, I.e, on kindle, voiceover speech mutes, like when one does a 3 finger double tap. However, I cannot find the action to mute voiceover speech... Am I missing something obvious?

Occasionally, my iPhone 12 mini sometimes says cellular, zero or four bars, signal strength, but sometimes it would say cellular, no signal. So what does it mean when it says zero of four bars? On phones with home buttons, The correct announcement is no service, but still, it sometimes displays the carrier name and says zero of four bars, also, when it says zero of four bars, there is a cellular service icon, which can either be announced as 5G, LTE, 4G, 3G, GPRS, E, and one X. When it says no signal, no network name appears and older iPhones Without home button will say no service.

Hi. I am looking for 2 different types of apps for spelling on iOS. I am wondering if any such things are in existence and if they are, what are they called? 1. An app where I can say a word and the spelling of it comes up on the screen so I can rotor through it letter by letter. 2. An app that I can paste text into from the clipboard and have that text checked for spelling errors and if any are found, they can be corrected before having the corrected text pasted back to the clip board. Thank you.

I am having trouble finding documentation on creating accessible data tables. I can take an accessible data table created in HTML in Windows and port it to iOS but do not hear any column header and data cell association. Is there anything additional needed? Are there any examples available. Thanks. Mike

I have recently purchased a Honeywell thermostat wil an IOS ap. However, I went out on a limb and bought this. Does anyone know anything about the accessibility of the ap or any other thermostat IOS ap review? I thought about a talking thermostat but if I can control it form my phone, pad, etc... then why not? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Good afternoon:
Prior to purchasing my IPhone 7 I had become accustomed to clicking remind me later twice a day when prompted to install the latest IOS update. However, since I bought my IPhone 7 in June running IOS 10.3.3 (and restored it from a backup from the 5S that could no longer keep a charge), I've consistently encountered the following:
1. The updated IOS auto downloads, then prompts me that a new update is available and asks if I want to install.
2. I click remind me later.

Hello,
When I updated my IPhone 6 S plus to IOS 10, I was told that I am using 9.2 gigs of storage. I am still using that much, even though I cleared out about 10 or 12 aps, cleared out my downloaded music, and other things. How can I clear out more space, because all of my aps don't equal that much?
THanks,
Darrell

So the last time I updated the IOS on my phone, I was also forced to have the Health app. installed on it. I have no need for this app. and do not feel that apple should have the right to decide which apps. to throw at me with every update.

I cannot remove this app. hence have to live with it on my phone whether I like it or not.

Hi its Carlos,
I just updated my new Iphone 6s to ios 9.1.
and my question is when I went to settings general and software update,
it started downloading the ios 9.1 version automaticly.
I thought I had to press a down load button if I wanted to download the new version,
but that was not the case.
I did have to press an install button and agree to the terms before installing.
I asked the apple accessibility folks about it and I was told it should not have downloaded automaticly.
So they were confused and sent it up.

Overall, I have found the iOS Google apps to be very accessible/usable with VoiceOver. For example:
Google+, Snapseed, Photos, Google My Business, Inbox, Chrome, Hangouts, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Search app, Play Books, etc.

It would be great to have a discussion and have input from others:
who have Googlefied their iOS experience and
how you find the VoiceOver accessibility of Google apps works for you?

Thanks!

Introduction.
We have an iPhone SE 2022 taking on a Google pixel, seven. Both of 128 GB of storage, both are released in the same here, both on the latest version of iOS, iOS 16, and android 13. Later this year, they will get the updates to iOS 17 and android 14.
I know we aren’t comparing the phones, all we’re doing is comparing the operating systems in 2023.
Setup.

Okay these are my opinions and only that. This hopefully will spark discussion which is good. First it is worth noting I was on Android for years. I got tired of the lack of accessibility and not being able to use all apps. A lot of apps didn't work properly with a Physical keyboard and I couldn't get the gestures. I kept hearing Apple is accessible so I figured try it and there you go. The level of accessibility is outstanding. I use a Rivo2 keyboard which is wonderful. You can check out more info about the Rivo2 at

Hi, guys. I was super excited to hear that voice over will be able to describe images in IOS 11. Does this mean games like Farm Story and Sim City will be more accessible? Does anyone have thoughts on this?

A friend told me yesterday that he could not leave a voicemail msg for me because my voicemail was full and would accept no further messages. I was not aware my voicemail was full. Does IOS have a feature which can notify me when this is the case? I have an iPhone 6 and am running IOS 12. Thanks much.

Hi everyone. Hope you're doing well and staying safe. I recently got a brand-new iPad mini I'm in electronic musician so I have a good grasp of audio fundamentals. Upon discovering my new iPad mini I came across an option a VoiceOver called audio route. I'm guessing it's to route the VoiceOver audio to different destinations but I don't know how it works please can somebody explain to me how it works. Thank you very much everyone and happy Christmas.
