Hi, I note that a new version of the Ecobee Ap was recently released. During a recent conversation with Ecobee support, I was advised that they were hard at work on making the app accessible. There is no indication on the release notes regarding accessibility improvements. If any of you fine feathered friends use the product I would very much like to know if the latest version is more accessible.
iOS and iPadOS
Hey y'all. Does anyone know how to edit a post in the latest version of Facebook without deleting and rewriting it? If I remember correctly, there used to be an edit post button when you 2-finger double tapped the post and hit the more button, but it seems to have disappeared in this latest update. Any help is most sincerely appreciated. Thanks. :)
Good morning everyone, so I have a quick question. Has anybody had any good experience with any text editor/plagiarism checker. For those who are in university and or college we know we have to write term papers. The problem is coming down to check in grammar, and plagiarism. I’ve tried Grammarly, and it works kind of sort of. One of the biggest problems I had with Grammarly is the plagiarism checker. I ran some of my papers through there.
I am trying to delete some unwanted albums in my music library. How do I accomplish this? By choosing the Edit button, just seems like I can re-order or re-organize things but can't seem to find a delete option. Thanks in advance for your help.
Has anyone else had this issue? For example when I want to delete or move the first or second app on a page, I double tap and hold, vo makes the noise but never goes into edit mode. I have to end up double tap and holding on another app in order to go into edit mode to move or delete the app I want to move. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Hi, all. I'm not finding instructions for using VO gestures to hide and show home screen pages. I've decided to try using the alphabetical listing in the app library for awhile. I notice visual instructions about tapping the three dots at the bottom of the screen, but no VO equivalent. Is this feature accessible with Voiceover? Thanks!
Hey Applevis users,
I'm having issues trying to figure out how to edit with apps such as Pages, Word, Notes, Evernote etc. on my iPhone and IPad using VoiceOver. I'm wanting to swiftly move around a document and edit what I need too and get back to writing as soon as possible. I have Voice Dream Writer and I'm lost on how to use it. I would love some help with learning how to edit a word processing document with a word processor using VoiceOver.
when adding or editing the note section of contacts, i.e., phone > contacts, vo does not echo what you type or delete or cursor position, it makes thing difficult. interestingly, using third party utilities, it works just fine.
ios is nearing its life cycle, still more bugs to be discovered. and in this case, apple's own app is more problematic than third party apps, how ironic. so much about controlling both hardware and software and premium pricing.
Can it be accomplished, and if so, does anyone know how? When I have one of my sent messages focused and I double tap and hold, the context menu that appears only has options for sharing or copying, not editing or deleting. There is also no rotor actions menu for interacting with the message. This has got to be possible, right?
I recently had a PC fan seize up and I may now be without a PC for a little over a month as it is getting repaired.
I currently occupy an influential position within the NFB here in my state and, for this and other reasons, I would like to know what is the most accessible way to read and, more importantly, edit and save documents originally created on my PC without any formatting alterations. I am particularly interested in doing this for .txt and .docx files. (And, yes, all of the files with which I wish to interact are in the OneDrive cloud.)
So how do I edit PDF files and create fillable PDF forums on iOS? A Windows solution would also be greatly appreciated but I am primarily asking about iOS. I would also like to know whether there are any accessible apps that let me work on documents, presentations and sheets. Pages is fine but it does not let me create PDF forms. What about Microsoft Office for iOS or Collabora Office? Are there any other alternatives?
I’m having trouble editing podcasts on anchor. I’m trying to trim the podcasts but voiceover only says the time and when I double tap on the time or start or end to trim nothing happens. Any advice is appreciated.

hi, i am a totally blind garageband user on iphone11. i would appriciate some guidance to the problems i have, especially working with regions. thank you.
Hi, how do you edit the share sheet? I'm looking to add apps or move apps up in the share sheet. is this possible? thanks.
Several of the shortcuts that I had been using with no problem in iOS 16 are now broken in iOS 17.
I am trying to edit and modify these shortcuts to make them work in iOS 17 and having a heck of a time.
Is there some secret or a tutorial on editing shortcuts using Voiceover on an iOS device?
In particular, I am trying to edit the working of an "if" statement.
Thanks for any advice. This does not seem to be intuitive.

Hi, I'm using IOS7 and have have tried Siri after a few months and noticed the accuracy has improved a lot. However I have still encountered some issues. Siri displays the text you've just spoken on the screen and you can tap to edit it if it's made a mistake in understanding what you've said. However, Voiceover isn't dealing with this as a normal edit field. There's no edit option in the rota when I enter the edit field and when I delete characters, it makes the sound to signify I'm at the start when I'm not.
