Hi all.
I have had my account on the forum for very long time, but due to a busy life, I've not posted much on the forum. I think this is my first topic. I've searched the forum for my questions but can't seem to find an answer, but I might look at the wrong place. So I'm sorry if all my questions has been answered before. If that's the case, then just post a link to the relevant topics and I'll read the answers there...
Well, I have a lot of questions:

Hi all, I recently baught Series 8 GPS watch and facing very strange problem. Sometimes I get notification then voice over quit speaking. I tried turning it off and on but voice over continues to be non-responsibe. did connect with apple tech support and advised to unpair, restart the watch and then pair. Frequency of voice over quit speaking has reduced but problem still persist. Any recommendation on how to overcome this issue. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hey, does anyone know how I can stop my series 1 Apple Watch from restarting every time I put it on the charge? The battery is not that low, but it still does it. I know its really late at night, but the blasted thing keeps waking me up with VO talking. The battery is up past 80s something, but it’s still doing it. It doesn’t do it when it’s actually not on the charger, it only happens when it is on it. One of my friends upgraded her old watch to a new one, so I now have her old series one watch. Yes, I know series one is very old, but it was working perfectly fine up till now.

I have the app Cuckoo Watch and it works perfectly on Apple Watch, however, I cannot set it up. Is there a way for a blind person to set it up without sighted assistance?

Hi guys!

So I have my Apple Watch Series 6 44MM celular, and I want to use it to make phone calls.

When I do that, a few interesting things happen. I went on Google as well as checked the manual for Apple Watch, paying particular attention to the phone app.

I've been drooling over the Apple watch for a long time. But I HATE TALKING WATCHES. Yes, that's in all caps! I hate them! I wouldn't even pay two dollars for one, so why pay hundreds? But now that there is Time Buzz and watches on sale at Best Buy, should I go for it? I am sure that more time telling apps will be available, and Apple might pick up the initiative in the next model. And when will the new watch come out anyway? Right after I buy an old one? Any advice? I hate making decisions! Thanks.

My son is a computer engineer. He wants to talk me into fitting my mother who is 98 with blue tooth capable hearing aids and the new Apple Watch. She currently has hearing aids but does not do well on the phone. She does have a caption phone but it has a delay and sometimes isn’t correctly interpreting the conversation. With COVID phone conversations are even more essential. Mom is an above average elder, still living in her own home and taking good care of herself with a little help from family. She has a great audiologist with an appointment next week.

Using WatchOS 9.3 on Apple Watch SE 1st gen, Siri feedbacks work only when VoiceOver is turned off, even with AirPods connected to the Watch.
I wonder why this feature, that may be crucial, is limited to VoiceOver off. How can it be fixed? Thanks!

I am having a strange problem with Siri on my apple watch. I see that the Siri voice is turned on in the phone watch app, but when I go to settings on my watch itself, it says turned off. I try to turn it on, but it defaults back to off. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? I'd love to change my voice to Siri male if I can. I also saw something about it being downloaded to the watch, but I have never seen anything that tells me to download it. I guess I'm a little confused.

Is anyone else slightly disappointed that you can't speed up siri on the new Watch OS? I mean it works great on the iphone but it would help if the watch could catch up, no pun intended. I don't use siri half the time just because of that. I know it's a long way from any major issues anyone has, just was curious. This is what i get up to when i've been up to late. again.

Hello, folks, I cannot seem to get the enhanced Siri voice to use voice over on the Apple Watch 6 running watchOS 7.1. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Shannon

Hello apple vis members. I updated my watch to the latest version and my voice over reverted to samantha, even though the siri voice toggle is on. What could i try?

Post Date:

Okay, so this seems like a silly question, but I cannot possibly be the only one with this problem.

Admittedly, I still wear both a fitbit and an apple watch. Why you ask? Because my fitbit flex2 is smaller, and it tracks my sleep. That said, now there are plenty of Apple Watch apps that track sleep. So I'm thinking when my fitbit bites the dust, perhaps I'll track sleep with the watch only. Except...

Post Date:

I use Sleep Watch the free version. I was looking around for an accessible sleep app that uses my Apple watch to track my sleep. The AutoSleep app sounds interesting. The last post in Applevis was in 2018. Any experience with AutoSleep? Any experience with other sleep app? I do not like to pay a subscription fee. That is why AutoSleep was of interest to me. Any thoughts?

Hello.
I have looked for a sleep talk app for ages.
Finally I found it. You need a watch to be able to use it.
It is simply called Sleep Talk and it is 3.00 kr. That would be about three dollars.
The app is fully accessible and I used it tonight and the thing is that you don’t have to listen to all the audio, just the one when you actually talk.

Post Date:

Hi, I know I'm asking a boat load of questions, but this is my new toy haha. So what are some sleep tracking apps for the apple watch please?

One of the biggest complaints about the Apple watch is that its really a two hand device right now. This is some what true for everyone, even sited people, since any manipulation of the watch really requires the use of your right hand, but its especially true for voice over users, because of Apple's poor utilization of raise to speak and Siri. When I am out and about, with my cane in one hand, I often find myself having to stop walking so that I can use the watch with both hands.

Post Date:

Hello. I have a question regarding the apple watch series three. How is voiceover compared to the series two? Has anyone purchased the LTE version and if so, how do you like it?

Post Date:

I have been playing with the Noise app on my Series 6 watch. I like having the dB meter on my watch face, but I wish I didn't have to swipe or tap it for updates.

I would like it to automatically read the sound level at selectable time increments, and maybe have an average over all level as well.

Does anyone know of an app I can run as a complication on my watch that will do this. Even if the complication didn't update, but then tapping through to the app would provide updates, that would be good too.

Thanks.
