Setting up cuckoo watch without sighted assistance

I have the app Cuckoo Watch and it works perfectly on Apple Watch, however, I cannot set it up. Is there a way for a blind person to set it up without sighted assistance?
I’ve heard mixed reviews about this app and was wondering what your opinion of it was. Does it work independently of the phone? In other words, will the alarm go off on the watch when the phone is being used? Just wondering if it’s worth the $.99. Thanks for any feedback you can provide.
