watchOS and Apple Watch Apps

Post Date:

I finally have funds available and am considering the Apple watch. However, as someone who has already been using a Fitbit Flex2, I just want to have an honest discussion. I will concede that the Apple Watch has the advantage of heart rate tracking, but for those who have the gadget, is it worth the price tag? I am seeming to live without always seeing texts, twittter, etc on my wrist. Why would I want all of that blowing up on my wrist all the time? Not bashing, honestly just asking.

Hello all. I am on an Apple Watch series 0 and I wonder if there is an easier way when setting the alarm to not have to flick through each minute because this is very sluggish. I could use Siri but this is not sufficient because sometimes I use my watch without my phone because I need that. I know the native app works without the phone but I am not sure if there would be another app that would do that. Probably not, though this would be easier if there was a keypad or something with numbers, like when inserting code or calling a phone number. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have had my 38 mm apple watch now for around four days, and I am very happy with it, apart from one major thing.

When I decided which watch to order I never even considered the larger 42 mm model. This was because I have small wrist, and I thought that as a voice over user I would have nothing to gain with the larger screen. however, I didn't consider the battery life difference.

Hi all. Using Series8 and watch OS 9.4 I think? Anyway when I was flicking through the control center, it says announce message switch button off. I tried double tapping, nothing done. Can anyone understand why this is or if it were on, would it help us somehow? Thanks.

Hello,
I am announcing here the new app I have created. The app is called Deyesfree: keep your eyes off your dice.
This is an app specifically designed for Apple Watch, which makes it easy to play dice games with other people. It is a dice roller app, which announces the dice rolls in clear, human speech.
The dice rolls are also presented on the display for those who cannot hear the speech.

Hello everyone,
As you may know a couple of months ago I was looking for a device I could use as a fitness and activity tracker. I thought about getting the Charge HR, but the device just didn't seem to fit my needs. Then, I looked at the Apple Watch.
I finally decided to buy the $399 space gray 42 millimeter Apple Watch sport. It should be here by Wednesday and I can't wait for the watch to come.

Hello everyone!

I've already read a few Apple Watch reviews on the AppleVis forums, but hopefully my own thoughts will add some insights for someone who's on the fence about the Apple Watch.

I just purchased my an Apple Ultra 2 watch. When I get a call on the watch I cannot figure out how to answer the call on my watch. I have the cell subscription turned on I was able to transfer the call to my iPhone 14 pro. Any suggestions on how to answer a call on my Ultra 2 watch?

Hi guys

Hi all! I realize that this isn't an accessibility related bug, but I thought I'd check with you guys first anyway, before trying to report this to Apple in some way.

Has anyone tried or had experience with 1Password version 8? I believe 7 and 8 are both available, but I’m afraid version 7 might not be around much longer if I find issues with 8.

Just wondering if anyone else is using this product. How good is it really? I've heard decent reviews on youtube, but these are of course all from sighted folks. How is the iPhone app and the Watch OS app with VoiceOver? How hard is the device and band to actually set up? Would you say it was the $159 cost? If you have found this product to not be ideal, are there any others that can give you similar body composition stats that are also accessible? Really wanting to drill down in to my fitness this year.

So I've had my apple watch series 4 for 4 years, and i'm getting a apple watch series 8. What, if anything, is new for voiceover users?

I am using the Apple Watch, SE2, and for the most part it is great. However, there is an app that seems to be having problems. It's the Dexcom G7 app. I have "direct to watch" turned on in the iPhone app, and the watch did pair with my sensor successfully. However, over the last day or so, it has started throwing up frequent alerts about how the connection was lost, so it goes back to pulling data from the phone. Really, it doesn't matter that it is the Dexcom app. It could have been any app really.

Hello,
I'm not sure if this is app related but it is related to the Apple Watch, so I posted it here. A post years ago said that apple pay on the watch wasn't particularly good, and I wanted to ask if that had changed as I am considering buying one.

I updated my Series 6 to 10.4 this week. On Friday I attempted to pay at a store I've been to many times, and it wouldn't work. I checked the watch, and had the correct account selected. The clerk said the terminal screen said to check the phone. There was nothing on my iPhone. I tried a couple more times, and then just waved the phone and it went through.
