Hi, I am listening and looking at the getting started with your apple watch but I can't find how to turn on and off my watch. I also can't find how to check your battery. I have the 4 series and the latest update. Thanks

Hi everyone! I recently got an Apple Watch. For the most part, I've been enjoying it and have been able to figure things out, but I had a few questions I was hoping you guys could help me with.
- I see that the only way to enter a wifi password is using scribble. Any tips for making this work? I wasn't able to input the username and password for the network.

I used an app called Tiny Mic and removed it for some reason. Now I see this app no longer exists in the swedish app store, wich. Means that I am not going to be able to use it. I would like to know, are there any reliable recording app for the watch`? Also, something that will record in the background.

The watch was easy to set up and the only complaint I have is the enhanced quality voice isn't available on the Apple Watch. Some bands are harder to put on or take off than others. The sports band is very fiddly but I'll get the hang of it. I love reading and replying to messages right on my wrist. I love the friends button and the fact you can call contacts on the watch. You can actually where your Apple Watch in the shower. I know this because I forgot I had the watch on and went into the bath and put my left arm with the watch on into the water.

Hello everyone.
It seems that I am having a bit of an issue when it comes to getting my voiceover voice to switch on my watch. When I go into voiceover settings and go into speech, I can download voices, add rotor languages and the like, but the voice still won't change. I have tried a bunch of different voices: Samantha and others, but nothing seems to work. For the record, I am stuck using the US Siri voice at the moment. Has anyone else experienced this bug, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

I know that Answering calls can be through swiping on screen tec, but 2 finger double tap does not answer calls,
so is there a quick way or a short cut to do that?

I was intrigued by the launch of the Apple Watch. I had tried a watch phone last year and was unable to do anything significant with it. The processor got into some kind of race condition, overheated and the device died. I also was unable to understand the use case for a watch that could only be paired with a phone. Watch phone still made more sense to me. Once the watch was released, I tracked it closely and was glad to see that accessibility features were in place.

Hello all,
I've long been a user of the Carrot Weather iOS app, and was excited to try it on my apple watch. While the complications seem to be very accessible, the App itself seems to be a different story.
I can see the comment carrot weather makes in regards to the weather, but it seems to be more numbers than anything else after that. The time is somewhat easy to tell, but more than that is kind of hard to figure out.
Just wondering what people are doing to make it more accessible, or if there's something I'm missing when looking at the weather.

Hi everyone
I've just finished my first accessibility review of a Watch app. It was for the Mint app and while everything worked as expected, I wanted to know if I was missing anything or prioritizing correctly.

As a user, what is most important for you? What are your biggest issues with Watch apps?

I updated to WatchOS 8 on my Apple Watch 3, but my accessibility settings won't open.
When I double tap, VoiceOver just says accessibility, and it stays on the same setting screen.
All other settings open fine.
If I turn off VoiceOver and have a sighted person to click it, it just wheels.
I also tried a reboot and a complete reset with erase all contents.

Hello,

Anyone know of a good accessable app that tracks my daily steps, distance and active minutes? I know, I described the activity app on the watch but I’ve noticed the activity app is not very accurate. I have a fitbit and I compared the two, the AW and fitbit. While the fitbit was off about 5 steps, the AW was off 14 steps.

I’m trying to get rid of my fitbit but I’m hoping to find a reliable, easy to use and accessable app before I do.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Hi all,

I don’t know if I’m missing something or what, but I’m unable to add/remove items from the control center using VoiceOver on an S9 Apple Watch running Watch OS 10.1.1.

To edit the control center, I press the side button on the Apple Watch, and I double tap on the edit button. I can move items in the control center, but I cannot add or remove items. I tried the double tap on the activate rotor option, the drag and drop, a triple tap to see more options, there is no way, as far as I can see to move items in or out the control center when using VoiceOver.

Hi,
I recently purchased an Apple Watch, but am having a bit of an issue with it. I wanted to add installed apps that I have installed from the app store, like weather conditions that I believe Thomas had installed, I assume from weather plus.

However, I only see the 16 default apps and none of the apps I have installed from the app store show up in the complications list. I checked, and all of them that I wanted have show in Apple Watch enabled. Am I missing something here?

I have just gotten an Apple Watch series 7 and am running the latest IOS version. I have read that pressing the display firmly is the way to get into the menu to add or customize watch faces. When I am looking at the current clock face and press firmly with one finger, I am not able to add or customize watch faces. The watch just clicks and Voiceover reads the item in focus. What am I doing wrong? How can I get into the area where I can add or customize watch faces?

HI all, hoping someone here can give me some insights.

I recently switched the voice on my watch from Alex to Eloquence, and changed the VoiceOver volume in the settings. Since doing this, the double tap and hold gesture no longer works to change the volume, like where you double tap and hold and then slide your fingers up and down the screen. I switched it back to Alex in case it was an issue with the eloquence voice, and it still doesn't work.

Anyone else experience this? It was working for a while and now suddenly isn't.

Thanks for any help.

I have a Series 7 Apple Watch which recently updated to Watch OS 9.0 without incident. At the time it updated to Watch OS 9 it was successfully paired to my 2020 iPhone SE. I recently upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro Max which I wanted to pair with the watch. I unpaired the watch from my older iPhone and paired it successfully with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. The syncing and connecting to iTunes took an unusually long period of time but it eventually paired successfully. I decided to power down the watch and then I placed it on its charger. Once it restarted I had no speech from VoiceOver.
