Have noticed this, despite keeping Audio Ducking ON VoiceOVer speech is barely audible when you are trying to access menu's on your Music Player, Podcast Player, When trying to end a call, Skype etc.
Is anyone else having a problem with Audio Ducking? If yes, could you kindly comment below. If we are having more such users with the problem, we will have to report it to apple as an accessibility bug. Kindly note I have updated IOS to 8.2, the latest update to the OS with support for apple watch.
When connected to AirPods and audio ducking is turned on, there is a pretty noticeable delay between touch input on screen and voiceover verbal response.
It seems that voiceover will first lower the volume of the media that is playing, and then after 2-3 seconds, will begin speaking out the touch input.
This can cause severe delays in the utilization of an iPhone with AirPods and VoiceOver enabled while media is running.
One. Enable voiceover screen reader and ensure that iPhone is connected to AirPods.
We are facing audio duckin problem in iOS 18. Audio ducking is very important for us. When we are playing any media, the audio ducking is not working properly. without audio ducking, we can’t use mobile properly. Please solve this issue in iOS 18.1
I updated to the official release of 18.1 on my iPhone 14 Pro yesterday, and audio ducking stopped working. It doesn't matter what I set it to, either "When Speaking" or "Always." No effect at all.
Hi, Ever since updating from IOS16.6 when listening to music and podcasts in particular my baudio keeps ducking. I can stop this by turning off audio ducking or double tapping the screen with three fingers to disable speech but both these options are annoying.
Has anyone else come across this problem and found a solution?
For the record I am using the iPad pro MM1 version with IOS17.3.1
With the new IOS 18.1.1 update or earlier, IOS allows you to set when audio ducking should work and it also allows you to choose the volume for Voice Over when audio ducking is running. Generally, I have my VO volume set to 60% and noticed I can manipulate the VO volume with the media volume by pressing the physical volume buttons on the phone.
Now that we have a separate setting for VO volume under audio ducking settings, it changes the default volume of VO by which I mean globally. What does 100% volume or higher mean if set under audio ducking? What is the logic.
What audio editors are people using on iOS these days? I used to use twisted wave, but I can't get it to quickly play and pause audio with the two finger double tap gesture. This puts a wrench in the works, because how can I start marking the audio I want to cut out if I can't quickly play and pause? I know there are a number of accessible audio editors for iOS out there, but which one is the least tricky?
Thanks
Does anyone know of any good audio editors with a lot of free effects that work well with voiceover? I want to get a lot of different voice effects, but I can’t find other effects or plug-ins to install into garage band or anything like that. I want to get something like different chorus effects and maybe a vocoder, as well as reverb and delay.
I am looking for an app where you can record short messages (say of about 10-45 seconds) roughly equivalent to the length of text tweets. I am also looking for it to be able to actually post this audio to twitter.
Hello folks, so I recently got this new iPhone 15 pro, on iOS 17.5.1.
Each time I try to play an audio iMessage, like I always did on my old iPhone, it doesn't work now, it reads the transcription of it, even with how messed up it sometimes is, but it doesn't play nothing, I have to turn voiceOver off and tap around the screen randomly to play the message.
is that the only workaround? or is there something I'm missing here?
and thanks for any help people can provide.
Hello,
I was wondering if some of you might know about an app on iOS that would allow to assign an audio recording on an NFC tag. Samsung phones have this feature for years and I find it very helpful. I would like to know if their's a equivalent app that exists on iOS.
Best regards,
Olivier
Since updating Audiomemos, when trying to send an Audiomemos recordings to Whatsapp, Whatsapp insists the message can't be sent, both from Audiomemos itself and upon going to Whatsapp to try and interact with the failed message. Any ideas, or is this a bug that needs to be resolved in Audiomemo's next update?
Hello everyone!! I hope you all are doing well.
For those that still use Audio Memos pro, good news!! an update will be released tomorrow with stereo audio support for iOS 14!!
yes, I've emailed the developer, and they replied back saying it's ready, and it'll be released tomorrow, so just letting you know, in case anyone still uses the app. below is the email reply I received.
So, I've got iOS8 on my iPad mini with retina display, and I cannot figure out how to send an audio message. I find the record button, tap and hold to record, then lift, but all I find on the screen is a button that tells me the length of the recording, am I missing anything to send it? double tapping on this button does nothing but return me to the Messages with no indication it was sent. How will I know if the audio is sent at all?
Hi all, since a pair of years ago I noticed one of my Bluetooth speakers wasn’t playing my WhatsApp audio messages through it, and the audio returned to my iPhone while doing so, and I supposed it was an issue of my speaker.
Yesterday I got a pair of airpods and the surprise was they also return the audio to my iPhone while playing the Skype audio messages I receive, even when this issue doesn’t occur with WhatsApp.
Is there a way to solve this problem? And does anybody knows why happens this?
Hello all:
I was wondering how many of you find the audio messaging feature a little quirky inios8. I have noticed that with voiceover on, it doesn't seem to work well with raising the phone to your ear form the lock screen or within the messaging application.
I don't have any trouble with VO off, but I do with vO on. also if you press the keep button, where do the messages go? I can't find the ones you've kept, unless they just simply stay in the message thread?
I am looking for an app wich can record directly to mp3/wave/ogg and others perhaps, wich is accessible, wich allow to shair files via ITunes file shairing,/FaceBook/dropbox and an app wich is not a studio/music app like bossjock or garageband. It must be something lighter. I have tried "mp3 recorder, mini recorder" and "smart recorder" but they don't completely meet this criteria. Any suggestions? I tried to brouze the app directory but either I mist it or its not yet there? List recorder won't do it either, as I don't want to mix audio with text.
Hi all. I just found the periscope app for video life streaming. Since it is quite inaccessible, i was wondering, is there something similar for life streaming, but audio only? Thanks a lot. Pavel.
