iOS and iPadOS

I recently upgraded to an iPad mini from and iPad 2. The Audible app doesn't work properly on the iPad mini. When I attempt to download a book, the download starts and then a little while later, I get an error message telling me no cellular network is available. The title is only partially downloaded and my Wifi connection has disconnected and has to be manually reconnected. This never happened on my old iPad, with iOS 5. However, the same thing happens on my iphone 5, which is why I think it is the app and not my iPad mini. Has anyone else had this issue?

So, i've been having issues with the Audible app failing to download titles completely. I'll be reading the book, and then quite of the way through, the ook will stop playing, and an alert will come up saying that I need to resume the download. It's like it only gets part o the book when I hit the download button. I'm not sure what's going on. I don't think it's my wifi, as I've downloaded podcasts without too many issues. Is there any way that I can resume the download without deleting the book and redownloading it entirely? I'll admit, I haven't tried redownloading.

It seems that not only does 2.5.3 have problems, but it is now impossible to continue using earlier versions that did work, as the login will now fail on those versions.

So, I've had enough. Audibooks are important to most visually impaired people, and they are excluding us, which, for those of us in the UK, is illegal.

Hello, My name is Blair and I wish to float an idea which has the potential to substantially improve blind peoples accessibility to a wide range of mainstream entertainment resources throughout the world. What is required is an iphone app which provides access to a library of audible descriptions for movies and television programmes. Through this a blind person will be able to listen to audible descriptions through a single earphone, whilst not affecting others in the same lounge or theatre.

Hi all. I'm using the audible app, and I downloaded a book, waiting to be Heard, the Amanda Knox story to my phone. I listened to the book, and now I want ti off my phone. The delete button on the audible app itself is deactivated. No matter what I do it won't activate. If anyone else uses audible, please help. Siobhan

Hi All,
I recently updated the Audible app. Now when in a book and flicking right I can only go as far as "volume control". In order to look at the rest of the buttons etc I have to randomly tap on the screen. Has anyone else seen this? iPhone 6s running IOS11.1.

Hello, Is there an app that will treat files as if they were audio books meaning users are able to set bookmarks, control playback speed, etc? I'm looking for something that behaves similarly to the Audible app. Obviously the Audible app can only play Audible content and not mp3 or other file types. Many Thanks, Louis

Hi,

As I reported in the thread on the introduction of Apple Music, it appears that certain functionality has been lost since Audio Books were moved from the music app to IBooks. Or, at the very least, the functionality has been so well hidden that I can't find it any more.

For example, I cannot find any way to synchronise an audio book to my Apple Watch.

Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, I can probably already guess what the answer is, but is there an accessible app which will convert audio from one format/bytrate to another preferably with no internet connection needed? If there's not, this is one major thing that iOs is missing, in my opinion at least. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks,
Moop

Hi guys. I'm Tunmi.

I was really sad to find out that Audio Defence has been on the App Store for so long. I wanted it so bad, but it costs money. I really want Audio Defence but I wanted to ask, any promo codes? I only need 1. Not multiple. Thanks.

Do you enjoy watching audio described content? What about on Netflix?
I'm a student looking for users of screen reading software to complete an online survey regarding the ease of use of the Netflix platform on various devices while using the audio description feature. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to complete.
Your input would be greatly appreciated! Find the link here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KL3CPXX

hello,i see in January, someone i assume from applevis kevin musician or similar?? posted a review of iplayer in the UK stating that audio described shows did not play, when the category was selected; only the most recent episode would, in a series, that's on the front page of that category, not when selecting a to z. did anyone know what happened about this? 4 months on? i see the developer has a response, but i can't see what they said back in january? how can i access this?

More films and TV programmes need to be listed as audio described in the iTunes Store. Although there are many in iTunes that have audio description and are listed as having it, I really think that more films and TV programmes should have it in the store.

Hi all.
Was trying to watch the WWDC event with the Mac and had enabled audio description from the accessibility setting.
When I went to apple.com and clicked on play it plays the event but without the audio description.
Has anyone else seen this?

Have noticed this, despite keeping Audio Ducking ON VoiceOVer speech is barely audible when you are trying to access menu's on your Music Player, Podcast Player, When trying to end a call, Skype etc.

Is anyone else having a problem with Audio Ducking? If yes, could you kindly comment below. If we are having more such users with the problem, we will have to report it to apple as an accessibility bug. Kindly note I have updated IOS to 8.2, the latest update to the OS with support for apple watch.
