Does anyone in this group have experience with the moodle course management system while using voice over? That is what I will be using when I start college this fall, an any help is appreciated.
iOS and iPadOS
Hi everyone,
Anyone happen to find some new acceessible apps and games that work with voice over now because of the new screen Recognition feature in iOS 14. If you know of any apps or games could you please post the links?
yeah
I hope it will have some Familiar speech synthesizer will be released soon.
such as VW kate, Neo and Julie !
and also some accapala voices as well.
Back in July there was a post on here regarding an application called Tappy guide, I would like to test it out but there is one problem.
New York State is not listed when picking a state when registering to create an account, I unfortunately couldn’t find the developers contact and I don’t know what else to do.
Please help
so I have been looking on google for even more 3rd-party speech synths.
All I can find are apps that you input text to and it reads it back or web results on how to change voices in settings which I of course already know how to do.
If you guys know of any more 3rd party speech synths besides eSpeak, please let me know.
Hello.
I am looking for an app where I can paste things and get them read, becausee I am writing a book.
I use Capti wich is great, but are there other, simple applications? I know I can just read the document but I think that it’s easier if there is a bit of flow to it.
Capti is great, just want to try something new.
Note: I don’t have a computer.
I'm a somewhat new iPhone user and just switched to it as my primary device. I'm looking for apps that might help me with managing or creating a better routine for myself since I have horrible time management and executive functioning skills and was curious if anyone here had similar experiences and could share some ideas. I know visual schedules can be helpful for autistic people, and I've seen apps like those recommended in articles about autism, but I figured they're probably not accessible.
Hi friends,
I would like to throw musical ideas at my iPhone, when no musical instruments is available. I would gladly use just press record, but my ability to sing polyphonic lines is limited LOL.
I was hoping GarageBand would do the job, but it seems very complicated and only partly accessible. I don’t know if things have changed recently. Someone was saying he would do a podcast on GarageBand, is it still on his schedule ? Or, Do you have anything else to recommend?
Hi all,
I am looking for a good and accessible thesaurus to help me when I write up my PhD. I have had a look through and tried the ones listed in this directory but I do not think they are that good.
I am happy to pay for a good one but I do not want to go ahead and pay money if I then find that they are not accessible. Any recommendations please?
Also, I have a free dictionary app and use Siri for words that I cannot remember how to spell but I would like some recommendations for free or paid dictionary apps too that are of course accessible.
I know there is character AI in Kindroid, but I was wondering if there are any other apps or websites like these? Where you can build your own character and/or role-play.
Hi all. I recently signed up for a premium account with The Old Reader. I like how it lets me get text RSS feeds, podcasts, and YouTube videos all in one place. I'm trying to find a good app for it though. Right now, I'm using Lire, and I haven't been able to figure out if it will let you play podcasts at all. So I guess I have a couple questions. Can you manage Podcasts at all with Lire? Is it easy to do, and if so, how do you do it? If not, is there a good app for seeing text RSS feeds and podcasts in one place that works with The Old Reader? Thanks.
Hello AppleVis,
Does anyone have a suggestion for a good night sky, and moon phases app?
Something with pretty high contrast? I enjoy taking photos of the sky when I have enough to see.
Although having some form of app would be pretty nice also.
Chuck
Hi,
Looking at the jump from X to blue sky, not because I'm particularly political but because it would seem those I follow are, and need to work out how it all works.
I had a look and, like threads, it seems every post is made up of several elements, the poster, the post itself, the time, like button, reply button, etc which is just a bit of a pig to navigate. Despite everything, the unified posts on X are great for us, just a shame the client on mac is horrific, and spring is flaky... Oh, and all the people I follow have jumped ship.
Hello all,
I will be starting to teach ESL as a volunteer. I am blind and would like to know how I can use to point out objects in a picture and teach my beginner learner the English words for them. Also I would like to be able to read a page from a book right when I am teaching him/her. I have the KNFB Reader , Prizmo Go and Seeing AI apps.
I would love to hear suggestions from you on what apps might be appropriate for me and how I could use them to teach English.
Also, I will be using my MacBook. Any suggestions for apps on the Mac are welcome too.
Apologies if this is in the wrong topic. So, I wanted to know if any of you have any tips when it comes to dealing with combination locks, specifically the combination locks found in some backpacks, or some suitcases. Mainly, I’m wondering if you guys have found of any way to Read the tumblers via an app, such as Seeing AI?
Hello. I am running iOS 16 on my iPhone 12, and I like the old series sounds much better than the new ones. Is there anyway to get the older ones back, the ones that were on iOS 6 to iOS 15?
