since iOS 11 hit the air, I noticed that VoiceOver doesn't announce the first username in particular conversation at the lock screen. Using iOS version 11.1 and the latest version of Twitter app.
I'm not sure where to report this issue, is it better to report thisw issue to Apple accessibility team or to Twitter app developers?
Thanks in advance for every helpful advice.
Kind regards,
Tea Turkovic
When reading an article in the Apple news app using voiceover, I find embedded Twitter posts to be a real nuisance! I like to just single finger swipe my way through the paragraphs of an article but swiping through a Twitter post and it’s numerous elements is extremely tedious. Short of three fingers scrolling down and trying to guess where the Twitter post ends seems to be the only other solution but neither of these promote a fluid, comfortable reading experience. Has anybody found good strategies for navigating past these obnoxious embedded posts?
Hi. I am using the official twitter app and having some problems. I used to just use Safari and login to the twitter website to read my tweets. However, with iOS 8 came a bunch of safari bugs including one where when you get to the end of the first page of tweets and you click the load more tweets button, it will not work. It does not matter if you double tap, double tap and hold, triple tap or stand on your head and wave your feat in the air. It stays on the first page of tweets and will not load more.
hi all, when i use twitteriffic for my iphone, i am clearing up my following list. yet, when i have supposedly, unfollowed an individual and i use the refresh command with 3 fingers the entries are still on my timeline. any hints please? i'm just trying to declutter twitter to make it a more enjoyable experience. i use ios 11,2 and an iphone 7. is indeed twitteriffic still the best client on the iphone, and consiquently yoru on the mac platform?
I'm using the Twitter app and also the Tweetings app. When I view a tweet in the middle of the timeline and click "back" or "done" to return to the timeline, it scrolls to the top and I lose my place in the middle of the timeline. Very annoying. What am I doing wrong folks? Is there any way to make sure that when you go back to the timeline you're not automatically moved to the top?
Has anyone else noticed thhat the list of top twitter trends is no longer accessible? It says nothing when I am trying to read it with voice over. I am using the latest version of the twitter app, BTW.
Hello guys!
I did not find the topic talking about it, so I decided to create a new one.
My question is this:
Is VoiceOver reading the trends in the latest twitter app update?
Hi all. I just did my Twitter update and now I have Twitter accounts listed on my following that I never signed up for does anyone know how I can delete those so I don't see him anymore thanks John
Hi, all, I'm having twitter issues and I've posted to twitter and no help among my friends and followers. I'm using the laptop and iPhone versions, and in the iPhone version, I can't add twitter friends on some of the games I am playing like trivia crack and bubble island. I also can't get twitter to act right when I try to share my Bible plan and other information when there are share options for facebook and twitter options. Foursquare and swarm works ok and others I can't remember, but Bible, games, and other posts won't share on twitter.
iPhone 5S, latest iOS8, latest Twitterific. When Twitterific is running and the phone is locked, every once in a while, it will cause Voiceover to make a VO noise. Sometimes it's a high chirp, and sometimes it's the loud bang that means you're at the end of something. Closing Twitterific in the app switcher fixes the problem. I've tried turning Twitterific's background refresh off, but the setting doesn't stick, it turns back on immediately. This is most annoying when you're listening to audio, as it activates audio ducking. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Hi Folks. I know Twitterific is probably the most popular Twitter app on this site so hopefully you can help me get to grips with it.
Up to now I've been using Tweetlist 4. In Tweetlist, when I open my timeline, it generally drops me where I last left off, however long ago that was, and loads the 200 most recent tweets above that for me to easily scroll up through.
I have a question about Twitterific. Since I know it's a much appreciated app amongst the AppleVis users and other VO-users, I figured the best way to get answers about it was here.
I downloaded Twitterific about a week ago. Just the free version, to test the app to see if it'd turn out to be one for keeps. I like the way it "looks" and think I might prefer that one before Twitter for iPhone.
After turning on background app refresh, I noticed that whether I have twitterific on or off, I'm for some reason not getting notifications from twitterific. Even though I had it on, no go. It shows that I have push notifications turned on in settings. The test works out great. But, when I get mentions or dm's, nada. Furthermore, it does not show up in the list of notifications when I go into notifications center. Anyone else experienced this?
Hello to all,
I am needing my twitteriffic app to show me notifications, of anything that comes in, especially in my direct messages. However, i get nothing.
Is there anyway to fix this?
Thanks,
Darrell
I'm wondering what is the easiest way to find out who retweeted me in twitterrific. I know there were some retweets because they got mentioned in notifications from the twitter app. But I'd like to look at them in twitterrific. Where do I go to find them? I thought that'd be in mentions but they don't seem to be there.
I was using the Twitterrific app yesterday when all of a sudden the app closed and when I went to reopen it it was completely inaccessible. I have closed the app in my app switcher and reopened it, and I have even deleted the app and re-downloaded it with no success. When I open the app voiceover’s focus shifts to the status bar and I can only hear the items in the status bar when flicking. When I try and move around within the app when it is open voiceover says nothing.
I'm having a problem with Twitterrific, which seem to be getting worse with every new version. For some reason Twitterrific is not remembering the post that was last read, and every time I open the app, the focus is on the first or newer post in the timeline. Before I started having this problem a few months ago, when I opened Twitterrific, the focus was located in the last post read and it was very easy to read only new posts. The latest version was supposed to correct this problem, but now is worst than ever.
