iOS and iPadOS

My apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I couldn't see one for general iOS Apps.
I'd like to be able to translate messages in WhatsApp. I'm sure I was able to do this a week or so back by going to the message, flicking down through the various options that included translate. That translate option has now disappeared. There are 2 options related to transcripts and one includes language, but I think that refers to converting audio messages to text.

I've been trying to figure something out in the iOS Facebook app and am wondering if anyone out there might have an answer. I will occasionally have posts from friends that are written in a different language, in my case in Arabic, and when VoiceOver finishes reading the post, it says "See Translation".

Hello, I hope you are fine. I want to ask you, is there an iOS translation app for videos that can be an audio translator or read voice over the translated text. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have taken a new job which will require significantly more travel, which is exciting. I am wondering if anyone has found an app that enhances independent navigation through airports. If you have had success with such an app, please pass along that information.

Hi all. I'm planning on a couple of trips later this year. Based on the great podcast David woodbridge did, i know the tile app isn't that accessible, or it wasn't. Has anyone used the chipolo app? I get deals all the time, and was wondering if I could and should, stick something in or on my suitcase so I can find it. I'll Have to check a bag on one trip, so I was just curious. Thanks for any advice you can give or either app, or tips on finding your own stuff. I think i'll be using a black suitcase and they're a dime a dozen. Thanks. :)

If i have a video on ios, and need to trem the end of the video, i should move my kersor, to the end by a second or less to the end, which is not good specially with long videos,
so, is there a quick solution to listn to the end and trem it quickly?
i know that i have the end slider, but need to listen to know where exactly where i end my video.

I have been trying to use the TripAdvisor app and found part of it inaccessible. I can search for a place, read reviews and start the process of submitting a review. When I click on the option to rate the place I am reviewing I hear Average Selected and I assume the rating is set to average but then I can't find a way of changing the rating. Is this part of the app not accessible or am I doing something wrong? Is there an easy to use alternative that will work on the IPhone?

Hello. I don't know if anyone has experienced this before with other Iphones but this is a first for me. I received my Iphone 12 last friday and powered it on to set it up. While I can't read the screen, I could tell that the phone had booted up. Once that happened I tripple clicked the side button but voiceover didn't enable. I had to get assistance setting up the phone. Once I was loged in and the icloud backup was downloaded, the phone came up talking and I was able to use it. i did have to enable the accessability shortcut manually so now tripple clicking does work.

After reading on here that Trivia Crack was accessible, I downloaded the app. I am using it, but it is a struggle. Will buying the premium version make the app easier to use?

Also, are the developers working on accessibility improvements for this?

I'm having a bit of trouble accessing the status bar at the top of my iPhone's screen. I recently had to have the glass lens on the screen replaced, so I'm starting to think it's because of that. Either that or I'm just not touching high enough on the screen. THe only way I can currently access it is to turn the roter to VNav (vertical navigation) and swipe up until I reach it. Thoughts?

for months I have been trying to find a reliable way to call or text an uber driver once they are on their way to picking me up. i usually double tap on "driver profile" that tells me drivers name, make and color of car and license plate number. I swipe right about a million times and occasionally but not reliably, I sometimes come across the options to phone or text driver.

I'm hoping somebody here might know something. I tried submitting a bug report on Apple, but I got stuck when I reached the question of which Mac and version of Garage Band I'm using. Apparently "iPhone is not a valid response".

I'm using an Iphone 8 with the latest software update. For some reason, I can connect to some servers, but not others. For instance, I can connect to Amazon and all its various sites, such as kindle, Audible, and Prime Video, and also the Mail app; but with others, like Target and Walmart, I can't get through. With others, I get a message saying "unable to connect to server." Have I done something wrong in the setup process? Can I correct this on my own or do I need to go to the phone store? Thanks for any help.

I am trying to create a shortcut to open a particular web page so that I can just ask Siri to open the page.

There is an "Open URL" shortcut which I thought would be trivial to implement.

so I added the shortcut and swiped up on it to get to "Edit URL". I then performed a double tab using Voiceover.

Although a keyboard came up on the screen, I didn't see any edit box for pasting in the URL which I copied from Saffari. What is going on with these shortcuts and trying to put them together with Voiceover? Is there some kind of trick?

I usually play the forest game but wanted to change to the factory. But I’m wondering how do I cross the bridge? I’ve tried jumping and sliding over it but nothing happens except me getting killed

I am using Voiceover with iOS 15.3.1. I cannot seem to get rid of the notification at the bottom of my Inbox in the Mail app that says I have 1 draft in progress. Here is what I am doing:

At the bottom of my screen in the Mail app it says that I have 1 draft in progress.

I activate that button and see the draft.

I navigate to "Cancel" and activate that button and am brought to a dialog where there is a "Delete Draft" button.

I activate the "Delete Draft" button and am returned to my Inbox.
