I’m looking for suggestions to improve voice over accessibility in my app and would love to hear directly from visually challenged users. Your real-world experiences and insights are invaluable in making apps more intuitive and user-friendly.
If you have any recommendations or pain points you’d like to share, please let me know. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated and will help in enhancing accessibility features.
I am an iOS developer on the Mint personal finance app. I am planning to make accessibility improvements to the Mint iOS app over the next few releases. We recently released Mint iOS v3.7.0 to the app store. Would someone be willing to help with creating an accessibility report on the Mint v3.7.0 iOS app so that we can make the app really accessible? My goal is to come back to the forum with a fully accessible Mint iOS app.
I decided to subscribe to Apple Music, and I'm having a bit of a tough time transitioning from my well established system of hosting my media in iTunes, and syncing to my iPhone using a bunch of hand crafted, meticulously maintained smart and dumb playlists. It's slow and clunky, but known and works.
When I switched on Apple music and had both the phone and iTunes set to iCloud Music syncing, everything changed.
Hi,
I am unsure how to use the passbook app on the iPhone 4S. Could someone provide some instruction? I go to the app and after launching it I can only use the appstore button. Once the appstore loads I have no new tabs or content. Any suggestions?
Best,
Mike
Hi all,
I am wondering if there is an app or something that will allow me to download and extract zip files on my iPhone. I will sometimes get zip folders and would rather not use my computer to extract them then put them on dropbox or something similar. Any help would be appreciated.
I work at a community college and am an experienced iDEVICE user. But I mostly use Netflix and Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. I read novels, create grocery lists, get driving or walking directions, search the web, read email and track my schedule.
When it's time to take notes in a meeting, I use my laptop, and my Vr Stream is my go-to device for learning Ally or bookshare daisy. I track my contacts, calendar and work responsibilities in Outlook.
I've been reserving my Lyft/Uber rides in advance to get to work on time. (My job is a bit far from my home, so I have quite a long commute.) I'm able to write the time I want using VoiceOver, but I cannot figure out how to choose the correct date if I'm reserving a ride for the next day. I also cannot figure out how to change the time from A.M. to P.M. My mother or co-workers have been doing these two partss for me with VoiceOver turned off. Anybody know how to choose the correct date and indicate A.M. and P.M. using VoiceOver?
Hello! I want to reset my apple music recommendations to set new ones but I don't have such an option in "My account" tab in apple music. I don't have a button to choose artists. Is there anyone else who experiences this issue? The oficial apple support says that it is possible as before but I cannot find a way how I can reset my recommendations. That is one of reasons why I don't use apple music.
When I dictate the phrase "visually impaired" it understands as "visually impaired singles" this work gives me a headache, and sometimes I get in trouble (sort of) would you help me in this matter?
So I need some help. I am making a flyer and I do this by making an email and sending it to myself so I can print it out. I basically wrote my paragraph of what I wanted to say, and then I attached a photo of a QR code so that people can scan it. However when I tried printing it out it printed out very small text, and then the QR code was on a separate paper and it took up the entire sheet! This is not good. How can I make it so that the QR code only takes up about a 2“ by 2“ inch square underneath the paragraph that I wrote?
If your Bluetooth keyboard doesn't work with VoiceOver except just a few functions in iOS 8.0, try the following steps to resolve the issue. Once the problem disappears, it doesn't appear again unless you change the iPhone language in Settings, General, Language & Region. To make the problem disappear from your iPhone, follow these steps:
1. If you use just one software keyboard, temporarily add an arbitrary one in Settings, General, Keyboard, Keyboards, Add New Keyboard.
2. Open the Notes app.
3. Create a new note.
4.
I want to help a relative to learn using iOs phone. He is blind. He have some English knowledge. I'm afraid it would be not sufficient to learn by the guides I found on this site. May you please advice me some Russian resources?
Hi all, I was telling a co-worker about another item in the Phone App. We came across the RESPOND WITH TEXT option. And you can respond with those already created like, "I can't talk right now, I'm on my way, etc." So our question is how do you turn on this feature? You could create one that says, "I'm in a meeting and will get back to you." Have any of you used this feature? Thanks.
I am using Iphone 7 plus with ios 14.4. When I get an email in gmail with a link inside, I am unable to figure out how enter on the link. I can't seem to hilight it so I can link to it. Any suggestions will be helpful.

Hello all, I'm adding a restaurant contact list for those of you who are interested in contacting these places, and requesting that they add their menus to Tappy Menu. I know that a lot of you probably eat eat at most of these places, so bug them, and request that they add their restaurant menus onto this app. Explain to them the benefits of adding their menu, and how it will help blind and visually impaired persons will have easy access to their food items.
Hello everyone,
As most of you already know, my company has developed a mobile application that contains restaurant menus for visually impaired people called Tappy Menu.
We ready to test out the local eateries in your area.
If you have a local diner, coffee shop, Juice bar, or wherever you enjoy to eat out, please feel free to contact me and we'll discuss however we can possibly get their menu on Tappy Menu.
It doesn't matter, which city, state or country you live in. We're trying our best to accommodate EVERY ONE EVERY WHERE!
Hello,
My name is John, and I have a brother and sister who both suffer from RP. I have come to find that it is very challenging when we go out to eat, to find a restaurant that provides menus in braille.
We have searched high and low for a solid mobile app that contains menus for casual dining restaurant chains that works perfectly with the accessibility. We could not find one.
Any suggestions?
