iOS and iPadOS
Hi, I've seen similar items to this for earlier versions of iOS without any clear resolution. Forgive me for trying again! I'm training someone remotely, thanks to lockdown, using a landline phone and today we hit an issue on her iPhone 8 running iOS 13.5.1 that I can't reproduce on my own iPhone 8 running the same iOS version. She is using Safari and double taps on a pop up button. It doesn't open a picker item for her. Earlier in the same session on the same website a different pop up button worked perfectly and opened the picker as expected.
Safari does not play video from web. Whenever I use IE in my PC window, and go to specific web address to watch a program from another nation, I am able to do thanks to Flashplayer. However Safari does not play the program when I go the same web.How can I do so in my iPhone 6 with using Safari.
Hello all,
When entering text into the Safari address /search field voiceover is constantly interrupting with a suggestion or keyword. Is there a way to disable this so that voiceover simply echos the characters entered?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
Cheers.
Dictation was one of the best things about iOS previously, and it’s always been fairly stable for me anyway but recently in Safari using the latest version of iOS 14.4, I’ve noticed a very annoying bug.
when I use dictation to enter text into Google search bar, and then try to navigate back through that text to edit it, voice-over won’t read out what I’m swiping back through although I can still hear the keyboard clicks, this can last for 10 seconds or more and sometimes I will have to close the search box and reopen it so the voice-over will work again.
Has anyone else been experiencing problems with Safari and iOS 8? In iOS 7, Safari worked great. I was able to serf the web with very little difficulty. Now, with iOS 8, the web page freezes when I go back a page. Safari doesn't crash, but I can't swipe within the page. I have to explore or run my finger down the page to find what I want. I am using a fifth generation iPod which has been updated with the latest update. I have tried turning VO off, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?
I've been using iOS 11.1 for less than twenty-four hours. I updated from 10.3.3 yesterday.
I've been using Safari off and on since I updated, and when checking iPhone Storage, I noticed it's over 80 MB. I don't know how it's eating up that much space, and it keeps getting bigger. I've deleted my history, went into Advanced and removed my website data... If it's this large after less than a day, I'd hate to see its size in a week.
Does anyone know anything I can do to stop this from happening?
One of my learners is having a problem whereby he cannot select his favourites located under the address bar using Voiceover. When Voiceover is switched off it works fine. He can get to his favourites by navigating to bookmarks but this is far less convenient. It was definitely working a few ago. His phone is updated to the latest software 11.4.1. We have tried rebooting but still not working. Any ideas?
I upgraded to 16 from 14 and can’t figure how to remove the siri suggestions and frequently visited sites that are cluttering up safari.
Also is it possible to remove tab groups?
When I'm using Safari, and try to read the page with VoiceOver, the browser completely hangs. Even when I turn off VoiceOver, Safari still doesn't respond to any taps or swipes. The only thing that helps then, is to completely shut down Safari (removing it from the app switcher). When I then restart Safari, the app crashes and restarts. After the restart, the app works as expected, until I turn on Safari.
Hi. I have a problem. Sometimes, when I use Safari, the page sometimes gets stuck on 10%. Has anyone experienced this issue? What other browser should I use. I am connected to the Internet. I don't know why it is doing this.
Hello everyone. For those who have an iPhone 11 or newer or iPad 2018 or newer, do you think it's safe to update to IOS 14? I have those devices and have been waiting a bit to update... please let me know if you can.
Thank you so much :-)
[Edit]
The issue has been resolved by itself for me. And since many of us aren't experiencing this issue, there's no need for causing more panic among the community. The original post is as follows:

Do not update to the most recent version of WhatsApp. It'll make VoiceOver not to provide any typing feedback, even if you use braille screen input.
I thought it had something to do with my phone itself and restarted my phone. I then tried typing something on WhatsApp with the issue mentioned above not resolved.
Using my iPad Mini The voice Samantha in VO using both the default and enhanced versions says Alabama when the name Al is read (when a large A is read with a small l). This is also occuring when Al Qaeda or another Arabic name of a publication from the Arab world is read. It became so annoying that I am now using Alex instead of Samantha. I do prefer Samantha because her pronunciation of names and places is superior to Alex.
