Hi all.
If I remember right, after ios 16.4 or something, push notifications on ios are available.
But unfortunately, even if notifications work correctly on chrome for windows and on android, more work has to be done for notifications to be enabled on ios as well.
Many websites are not yet ready for ios, so I was wondering if there is an application that can be a kind of a messenger between the website and the iphone, that can deliver the notifications for us?
I updated to iOS 9 the other day and am having a problem with the push notifications. What seems to happen is, if my phone has been locked for more than about 5 minutes, any notifications that come through don't make any sound or vibration, but are there on the lock screen when I go to unlock it. Earlier when I was somewhere really quiet, I randomly heard VO say "screen locked", and when I checked there was a notification that had just come through, so they might be showing up on the screen but don't vibrate or play the sound.
Hello:
I need an easy and accessible way to mute my video sound and put a piece of music instead,
need to publish this on Social media etc.
thanks in advance
Hello everyone. Is there an easy way I can put text on my lock screen. I would like it to be a quote of my choosing. There are widgets out there that will put random ones on the lock screen for you but I would like to place any text on my choosing
Any suggestions?
Hello everybody!
Since I switched to iphone, I noticed that it is not possible to like messages on instagram, either when the voice over says 3 taps to like the message or where it says double tap for a red heart. When I try to do this, nothing happens.
Do you know how this is done?
Thanks in advance.
PS. Sorry for my English
I have a question on Youtube. I use it for listening to music mostly, although I do subscribe to a few channels on it, & look at other things on there.
But I've got several music videos in my history, & I'd like to be able to put them into a playlist, & add videos to that list.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible to create a playlist?
2. If so, how?
3. How can I add to the playlist?
Does anyone know about an accessible Python interpreter for iOS?
I see several possibilities in the app store, but they do not seem to be free, so I want to make sure I purchase something that will be VoiceOver accessible.
Has anyone had any success using the QR reader built into the camera in iOS11? I just tried it, and this is what I found. I was using it on a QR code that links to a document. It did recognize the code, and it did ask if I wanted to open the doc in safari. However, it wasn't an alert or any such thing, making me not be able to figure out a way to double tap it before it disappeared. Has anyone else tried the QR Reader with any better results? Or, should I possibly suggest to apple to make whatever pops up as being recognized as an alert that can be double tapped?
Hi, Just wondering if anyone has used any of the QR code readers? I did find one on AppleVis but it was reviewed a few years ago produce by tapmedia. It certainly works well, but thought there could be others out there that work well with VoiceOver too.
The main use for the app is to read QR codes that are at bus and train stops.
Certainly would be of real value if this feature was built in to some of the transport apps.
I was just sent a screen shot with someone's personal Pay Pal qr code. I can't figure out how to scan the code with Pay Pal.
Does anybody know how?
Thanks
I'm running iOS 14.3 and as of today an iPhone 12 pro. While in settings and in messages, I keep hearing QSearch and wonder what it is and if it is of any value. It certainly seems to disrupt the screen and interferes with my navigation. Can it be turned off?
Using VO normally, you have to double tap on the keyobard to input the key that has been selected.
I have a weird problem where VO works normally and a double tap is required to open an app and use buttons as per normal. But when using the keyboard when moving over the character it is typed in immediately when my finger is removed from the screen. No double tap is needed. I am wanting to revert the phone back to the double tap method of keyboard input.
Hi all. I am currently using an Iphone 5S, but am due for upgrade. So am looking at either the Iphone 6 or 6+. So was wondering if anyone who uses either of these devices could give me their thoughts on them. What are the pros and cons for either of them? Whichh is better/easier for someone with no sight to use? Are there any major difficultiees with either of them which I may encounter/need to know about?

Hi Guys quick question. I'm upgrading from iPhone 8 to 11. Now I know there is no home button. I also know that you use slide to get to home/app switcher. However, if you don't like haptics and turn them off do you still get the haptic feedback for getting to home etc? or, do you have to leave haptics on? Any help appreciated.
I've got a question about the latest Goodreads update. In the disscription on the release notes, they said you could see what lists books are on, and find similar books. I've tried every way that I can think of, but I can't seem to find where those options are. I'm trying to do this in the app, on my ipad on Ios. 12. How do you get to those options? Is it accessible in the app, or will I have to go to the web site? Thanks in advance.
Some voices of 11 Labs Reader worked for me for a while and now they do not, the app says 'buffering' forever. This is not with all the voices, so I am wondering if there are voices that are free and others have something like demo or word count of reading then you need to purchase subscription. I am saying this because I am seeing the buffering issue with the voices I use most. So please anyone do let me know if there are voices that do not work for you.
Thanks.
