Hello,
I just found that the ID barcode scanner costs $900.99. Are there any scanners that are compatible, and if there are, could you recommend a link?
Thanks,
Darrell

Does anyone know if there is a way of turning off the emergency call option when powering off the iPhone as I often hit it by mistake?

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,
I have a rather small, but also for me rather annoying, problem.
Because I use VoiceOver I have my earphones plugged into my iPhone almost all of the time, as not to bother everyone around me with the constant talking. Also, I often carry my phone around in my pocket. This leads to a problem.

Hi.
I've got a problem in the settings app.
I want to add my gmail to my ipad.
But when I type in my e-mail address and the password I just get back to the add accounts settings.
my account is not added.

Can the action button on newer iPhones be customized to let you trigger different things by pressing it twice or three times, or long-pressing/pressing and holding it? If not, it's weird, surprising and shameful.

Hi all,
So I'm currently using the action button on my new. iphone 15 pro max. I have listend to the podcast on customizing action button, and an interesting shortcut was called multibutton where you can assign more than 1 shortcut at the same time to the action button.
I downloaded the multibutton shortcut, but unfortunately not able to assign any shortcut. Although I have written the names of the shortcuts, it seems that there is another way of doing it. Has anyone tried it? or is there a tutorial that can be more clear to use it?

Thank you

Hi.

We've been working hard on making our new task manager & lists app - Actions by Moleskine - much more accessible. We'll be doing the same with our calendar app - Timepage - as soon as possible. (Links for both apps are at the bottom of this post)

Hello,
In iOS 8 in some 3rd party apps, there would sometimes be an item called "actions." As most of you know, you could swipe up and down while focused on an item to do actions like deleting or activating the item in question.

Does anyone know if you can setup and activate the iPhone without sighted assistance?

Hi, sorry if this may have been asked before...
I just got the new iPhone 12, and I must say, the VoiceOver's screen recognition feature is kind of cool. But, when I turned this feature on for apps, I can't seem to activate the on-screen controls, like buttons.
How do I activate these on-screen controls while keeping screen recognition enabled? Is there specific gestures I do need to perform in order to activate these on-screen controls?

Hello all. I have great luck using Ootunes on an iPhone or iPod Touch. However, when I use it on my iPad, it doesn't seem that VoiceOver activates any of the buttons. For example, when I double tap on the Sleep timer and timed recordings button, or even on the stop button while a stream is playing, nothing happens and nothing additional is viewable on the screen. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks.

Hi, guys. Another e-mail question for you.

Is there a way to click hyperlinks that you put into an e-mail message in the native Mail app while you’re in the e-mail composition screen?

Thanks.

Hi. I am trying to approve a notification I got from Amazon. It's in Messages. VoiceOver says a web address and then it says "link" but I'm not able to activate it with a double-tap. Any suggestions? I tried forwarding the message to my email address, but haven't got my email message. Thanks.

In the Trainline app, when I've purchased a mobile ticket, I can download or view it, but can't find a way to activate it for use. There's a control that says "activate tickets" next to the view tickets button, but it doesn't seem to do anything. On a recent train journey where I was using mobile tickets, I had to let the train manager activate the ticket for me as they were doing the ticket inspection, because I couldn't find a way to do it myself. Can anyone explain to me how to activate tickets with VO? Thanks.

what do you say to activate the doc with voice control? I've tried: open, go to, tap, nothing works. Thoughts?

Has anyone else experienced the above? Whenever I activate a zoom link on my iPad it throws me back to my home screen and doesn't activate the link. I do not have this issue on my iPhone.
My iPad is an iPad air2 running ipad13.5.1. Any ideas why this is happening? Zoom is also up to date.

Hey everyone,
My name is Alex and I'm the developer behind Actiview. We have a new update up on the App Store, with a few bug fixes / feature updates coming this week. For those who don't know, the app provides audio description, amplified audio, closed captions, and more for movies in theaters and, in the near future, the home. The app syncs up with what you're watching and plays back the content automatically.

We have 2 movies coming out this Thanksgiving:

Is there a way to actually CLOSE apps using VoiceOver instead of having to go into the App Switcher to close them out?
Post Date:

Hello folks, My iPhone 4s loaded with iOS 7.1.2 is very stable an does everything that I need it to do so I have never felt it necessary to upgrade either the hardware or OS. However, one complaint I have is that VO is not smart enough to filtera out ads when reading web pages in Safari. To see if this situation could be improved I was playing with a couple of ad block apps downloaded from the app store. I'm not sure how I managed to fumble the app installation but whatever I did broke something in iOS such that I no longer had network connectivity , Wifi or cellular.

Post Date:

What ad blocker do people recommend for blocking pop ups in Safari, YouTube, etc. Will the same app also work in the Google app?

Also, I'm wondering how these ad blockers work. Do you just have to install them and everything is taken care of or do you have to have them running each time you use a browser, YouTube, etc.?

Thanks.
