As an AT instructor, I was recently asked by a former student about whether M&T bank has either an accessible app or whether web site is accessible. Since I am not a customer, I can not simply try the site for my own investigation.
Does anyone use the site or its related app, and if so what are the thoughts concerning accessibility for the major tasks one might wish to do with a bank site. these might be, reviewing account status, making payments electronically and/or setting up regular scheduled payments.
I'm expecting my new M1 iPad Pro next week. I looked around AppleVis but did not find a good summary of experiences and issues. If you have one of these devices, would you please share your experience here? I'm particularly interested in hearing about VoiceOver with current iPad OS: problems, tips, etc. Generally speaking, if anyone thinks I made a big mistake with this purchase, please tell me what the major flaws are. Be specific. Thanks!
Hey, does anyone know of an accessible live M3U player for iOS? I myself love listening to all those really old cartoons from bananavision, however, I would like to use something other than a browser to play them.
Hi. I need an app to convert m4a to mp3 on my iPod. I have a few apps that convert files by uploading them to the cloud and then the conversion is done there and the converted file is re downloaded, but I would like an app that can convert the files on the device and without needing an internet connection. My iPod is jailbroaken on iOS 7.0.4, so I am open to ideas from Cydia or the app store. Thank you.
Hi all, this covers two things, the twitter app official one, and the other is about Safari on the Mac. First IOS I hadn't opened the twitter app in awhile. When I did I saw something that said swipe timeline to see what's new. Thinking it was just something i had to click on, I did but I can't get back to the regular feed and mentions and things. Is there a way to get past this? Second, on the Mac if you open a new tab, how do you close the first window? Like google and amazon, but you want to get over to the google window to close it. command accent doesn't seem to wrk.
Hello
Yesterday I took my Mac with me to a friends house and connected it to there wifi. When I got back to my house and tried reconnecting to my wifi, I keep getting a message that says it is unable to join the wireless network and that the connnection timed out. My iPhone does this as well, but I can reconnect it after reseting my network settings. However, I see nothing like that on the Mac. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, please let me know!!
Hello Everyone I was wondering how many of you have been successful at using find my iphone. I jsut used my macs browser to sign into www.icloud.com/find and signed using my id and pw. Thanks in advance.
In IOS5.1.1 when I sent a email or text message using Siri I would hear the "swoosh" or "swish" sound after telling Siri to send the message.
After upgrading to IOS6 those sounds don't seem to happen any more.
Has anyone else noticed this issue?
I'm wondering if this is a "bug" or it was removed purposely from IOS6.
Regardless, I think it's important to get those sounds back when using Siri.
I for one like hearing the sound & knowing that Siri actually sent the message.
Note: the sounds seem to still work if I dictate or type an email or text message & then hit the "send" button.
Note:
Hello all,
I have a quick question about using the mail app on my phone. I am running the latest version of iOS11 on an iPhone 7plus. When I open up a threaded conversation on my hone, how can I easily navigate between the messages in the thread? I am trying to transition from using mail on my mac to using it on my phone. I am liking the mail app on my phone much better than the one on the mac. In most ways I find it much easier to use as well.
Hello to all,
I just aquired a new Iphone 14 yesterday, and I have been playing with different ways of doing things.
However, one thing that I would like to know more about from a blindness perspective is the mail app.
For example, what is the quick ways to navigate multiple accounts?
How do you customize notifications to hear sounds, and have the mail app tell you how many messages you have? It shows me as having no new mail, yet clearly there are messages unread.
Hello,
How do I send drafts with iOS 8 in mail?
I cannot flick or move to the send button even if I scroll with the screen. I have to move to find the minimise button but there is no send button.
Hi
I'm using a pop mail account on multiple devices. Under advanced options I've set my iPhone to remove a mail from the server as soon as it's been moved from the inbox (I assume deleting qualifies as moving), yet when I delete a message from the iPhone, it still shows up on my mac when I get mail. I tried setting up mail on iCloud to see if synching it with that would fix the problem, but no go.
Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? It's somewhat annoying.
Best regards: Malthe.
Hello all,
I have another problem with the upgrade to my new iPhone 6. Everything works fine now and IOS 8.1 looks ok to me. However, I am having a problem getting mail to upload when the 'mail' icon is closed.
I am using Outlook on an exchange server and when I had my iPhone 5s, mail would happily update all the time i.e. I could hear the harp sound I assigned to mail 'doing its stuff' all the time with the new mail being added and me hearing the change in the number of new e-mails being displayed on the mail icon.
I've turned sounds on in mail > notifications >customize notifications and turned it on for my accounts.
However, I don't get any sound when I get an email.
Just recently started using a Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad Pro. I'm noticing some odd behavior when using mail. I can browse through the message and select a message with VO Space. I then use VO J to jump to the message body. However, after reading the message, there is no good way to get VO to jump back to the message where I left off. VO J, as well as the rotor, does not seem to do this. Anyone have any good tricks for getting back to the message list and placing focus on the currently selected email?
Any info much appreciated.
Thanks.
Jim
On an Ipad Mini 4 the mail app opens in the last viewed message instead of the inbox or the list of accounts. Any work-arounds? Anyone having this issue?
