iOS and iPadOS

Hi all! I just did a beta release of some software I've been working on for a few months now. Accessibility is one of its primary goals, so I wanted to ask if people would be willing to use it and give feedback if they can. Any notes at all would be much appreciated. Important note: this is a demo site, and, due to how expensive Google Cloud text-to-speech is, I cannot afford to keep it running indefinitely. I am working on solving this problem, but for now, I plan on shutting down the beta in about a week.

A big hi to the AppleVis community,

My name is Alex and I am the developer for NewsPlaya (pronounced: News-player) - a talking RSS and Twitter app. I developed the app because I wanted to consume news articles and tweets hands-free, for example whilst I am at the gym and commuting. I am not visually impaired.

Update: I switched to lire for now.

Hi
I've been a happy user of feedler pro 2 for a couple of months, but lately it's started crashing when I access articles from feeds in full text, which makes it pretty much unusable.
I've contacted the dev, but so far no response. Is anyone else experiencing this? Alternatively, do you have a good alternative for full text feed reading?

Best
Malthe

I am looking at the Fender Mustang GTX electric guitar amp. The amp comes with an app the "Fender Tone" app for additional controls of the physical amp. Has anyone experience with this app? Is it accessible? I did a search on the applevis website and found a positive note on the "Fender Tune" tuning app. Just wondering about the Fender tone app. Any

Good Morning,
I've just started a new podcast & would like to be able to edit it using Ferrite Recording Studio.
Does anyone here have first-hand experience on how this is done using Voiceover with the touch screen?
One of the issues I'm having is moving tracks into the correct order.
I'm also having an issue where silence is heard, when I playback my recording.
I tried using the, "Trim silence" option, to no avail.
I'm running the latest version of the app under iOS/iPadOS 18.1.

Hi, all, I’m considering getting either Read2Go or InDaisy for my iPhone 4S. However, I want to know which one offers its bundled TTS engine without requiring an in-app purchase. I believe Read2Go requires an an-app purchase in order for Acapela to work, but is the same true for InDaisy? If so, would it be possible for us to keep the separate TTS download for future installations? I’ve also noticed that Read2Go’s installer is, according to iTune’s App Store, considerably larger than that of InDaisy. Is there a particular reason behind this?

Hello everybody. In first words of this post I would like to apologize for my questions which maybe are silly, but I am new here and I already got my first Apple device. I have never used Apple products before.
I must say that the worst thing for me is typing and adding contacts, do you have any tricks how to learn typing easily? Calling is difficult too right now *smiles* I mean if I have to call someone by typing a nuber of a person I want to call. I heard about Siri, is she helpful? Can she add contacts for example *smiles*

Hi,
I am looking for a app that is able to download stuff from the internet such as video and mp3 files.
it should also be able to act as a file manager or allow exporting of the downloaded content.
If it has features such as use of the fingerprint to lock or restrict access to files that would be a bonus.

I would prefer it to be free, but if there is no app with such specification that is free I am willing to pay as well.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations if any.

Hi. I have a big and growing music library. My iPhone can hold all of it as of now, but I am running out of space and I will soon have more music then space. Right now I have a mixture of .m4as and .mp3s. I have started converting all my music to .mp3s trying to get rid of all the .m4as, but I am wondering if there is a format that will make smaller files at the same bitrate and frequency as my .mp3s. I don't want my music to sound all tinny, but I don't need CD or .wav quality either.

Hi.
I've found some file manager apps I want to try out.
I can zip files, read documents etc.
my question here is what will happen if I connect a wireless harddrive.
do you Think that I can see all files on that using a file manager?
In that case I can buy a western digital disk.

Hi.
I've tried file browser now and it works well.
The problem is that it is very hard to copy files. I have to copy one file, paste that in, then copy a new file, and paste that in.
is there something better than this? I want to select multiple files, doing like I do takes very much time.

Hi,

I'm experimenting with the lite version of FileBrowser on my Iphone to see if it is the right app for me when it comes to working with files on different locations.

I'm having trouble connecting to my Windows 7 PC from the app.. The error i'm getting is 'socket timed out'. I'm using Comodo Firewall and. I've tried turning that off. Any help would be appreicated on how to get this to work.

I've enabled file sharing in the control panel of Windows.

Thanks

I'm having a weird thing happen with filenames of voice memos recorded with my iPhone 4. I don't know what I might have changed, but I don't like the way the filenames are done now. They used to be something like this: 12_7_2011 3_18 PM.m4a And now they're like this: 20120508 155504.m4a The numbers used to go month/day/year, separated by underlines, but now they're all jammed together, and now it's formatted year/month/day, and the time is in 24-hour format. If someone knows how to fix this, I would very much appreciate instructions.

Hi,
So recently I have been having problems with downloads on my iPad. I download a file, and it appears in my downloads queue but when I try To open it, it just takes me to an empty downloads folder as though I haven’t downloaded anything at all. I’m really frustrated by this, so if anyone could tell me how to fix this I would really appreciate it.

I received an email attachment in the .docx format. It is a form that I need to fill out. I have never done this on an iOS device before. Has anyone done this? If so, what is the best app to use? Is there even an accessable way to do this? Any help would be appreciated.
