Hello.
Is there a way to find messages that have attachments to them? I cannot seem to find it. I am only on iOs and not a computer.

I have an iPad Air from 2013 which I’m wanting to start using again
In 2020, my mum‘s ex-husband got removed from the house, but before he got removed, he changed the iPad passcode, and didn’t tell anybody what it was
So before I put it into recovery mode and reset it, is there a way I can find out if the Apple ID associated with that iPad has activation lock enabled,

Hello list, for the life of me I can not find the input button on Garage Band on my Iphone 6. I want to be able to use the onboard mic, but am in the dark. I even had a sighted person check it out with no luck. Is this a limited version that comes on the I phone 6's? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I hadn't spotted this myself, but one of my trainees upgraded to iOS 9 a couple of days ago and had problems with adjusting the speech rate. She believes that in iOS 8, changing speech rate by the rotor allowed it to be changed in steps of 1. The rotor now changes speech rate in steps of 5. Strangely, the speaking rate setting in Settings/General/Accessibility/VoiceOver changes speaking rate in steps of 10 for swipes up or down. My trainee used to like to fine tune the speech rate and isn't happy that this is now lost.

It is getting well into the cold holiday season so many of us inevitably put on our fireplaces or, indeed, virtual fireplaces on our computers or TVs.

Recently, I have been looking for a virtual fireplace app, though, the only one I see listed in the AppleVis App Directory appears, by the review, to be totally inaccessible.

So, does anyone know of any other reasonably accessible fireplace apps for iOS?

Hey guys! Do you guys know of any free or low cost one time purchase apps that I can download to learn about different first aid things? Ideally, I’d like to have something that I can download, go to something, and open it up and read some texts. Ideally, I would just like the text part. And I’d like the stuff in an app. Because that’s easier. For example, I’d like to be able to click on something, and it would tell me signs, symptoms, and then what to do until health gets there etc. etc. All the basic first aid stuff. Maybe some stuff to do to prepare for emergencies to.

eSpeak NG has been made to work on iOS with AVSpeechSynthesisProviderAudioUnit. It is the first testing release, so there will likely be bugs, but it has been made to work with VoiceOver! The TestFlight beta is available here! The discussion is currently at this GitHub issue, but for bugs and further discussion, you should create a new issue on the app's GitHub repository.

Hi all. This won't have anything to do with VO because my brother was the one who bought it tonight. To say that thing is thin is an understatement. However, here's what i noticed: when you hold it to your ear, I did it in the vicinity, the screen is so large it feels like your half hidden by it. I realize I'm sure it looks that way to others, but I was amazed it was so thin. I like how they went back to ther ound body. He hasn't set up Apple pay yet, and I don't know if he will. I'm still waiting on someone to actually do a transaction with apple pay.

I found that navigation by letters is possible on iPadOS14.0.1. I know this might have been available for a while, but still not known by some users. This is only available in the Files app, and QuickNav has to be off. So, open the Files app, then use the keyboard to type first letter(s) to navigate through files and folders.

shortcutsI followed the instructions in the for the first shortcut tutorial concerning a shortcut for voice stream reader. I got a message which inferred that I did not have a reading list, so the shortcut suggested by Thomas Donville was not accepted. I have a large number of books from bookshare so where do I go from here?\

I just got a Fitbit One, and I'm running the Fitbit app on my iPhone 5S.
I thought I read somewhere I could see the battery status in the app, but can't find where. Can I do that?
Can I do things like update my weight or other data? I needed sighted help to put in my weight in the first place.
Any other Fitbit hints people might care to share?
Thanks.

I've decided I need to get fit and have seen other VI people using the Fitbit Flex so, I downloaded the fitbit app last week and was immediately impressed but, two days after I downloaded it, they updated and now I can't get half the features to work. My exercise no longer appears on my dashboard although I can still log food and water. I also discovered that even when exercising on a cross trainer with my iPhone in my pocket, my fitbit didn't seem to register just how hard I was working, yet pedometer++tracked me as having done just under 3000 steps.

I received a FitBit Flex as a gift, which my daughter set up using the IOS app. Can the Fitbit Flex be set up independently with Voiceover? If not, can it be set up with the computer? For either, are there written instructions about an accessible setup posted on AppleVis or elsewhere? I could not find any labeled buttons on my iPhone to set up my FitBit again after a problem.

Hi, Everyone,

I'm a bran new Fitbit user... just got my Charge 2 paired today, and am attempting to complete the setup process. I've found that, using the iOS app, I have to explore by touch pretty much exclusively to try to set up my goals, like hourly activity, etc. A couple quick questions, if I may please:

a. Is there a place where I set water intake and nutritional info... info like that? I thought I initially saw it in the site profile, but am having trouble locating it via the app.

Hi, I'm thinking of getting myself one of these to track my workouts along with sleep. It would be great to have hard data to measure my performance. I've never bought a product like this, and wonder how easy it is to, A, setup without eyes around. B what the IOS app is like with VO? I can possibly get some eyes to help me set it up if the IOS app is useable. Lifehacker review is at http://onj.me/1w9kz Thoughts welcomed! Barry.

I am having a lot of trouble adding exercise using the Fitbit app. Until a few days ago, I would open quick actions, pick track exercise, pick log, and then choose the exercise I wanted to add, like Gym. Now, when I pick track exercise, the only option is to track a walk. I recently updated to the latest IOS 11, and am using an iPhone 5S. I have the latest version of Fitbit. Please help.
