iOS and iPadOS

Hello I have just purchased my new iphone with great enthusiasm only to be dissapointed by really bad quality of sound on VO. It is new iphone 5s, I have tried abslutely everything! I went to the apple store and was told that perhaps my handset is faulty and was offered a replacement. But after trying 4 other new handsets with the same problem I was told that this is probably the problem with the batch that they:Apple store received. I was also told that that they have send their comment and I should hear within 24 hours instruction about how to fix this.

I've just bought a new iPhone 11 to replace my SE and found that VoiceOver vibration is extremely disturbing!!!
Who fxxking thinks out this kind of alert for users with normal hearing?
Ok, you think that it's well designed for the visually impaired.
But why doesn't the VO rotor include the control of vibration???
It's very ridiculous that sounds of VO can be turned on / off via rotor but vibration cannot!
It vibrates after my every move... It makes me think of some kinds of s*x toy!

Hello, do any of you all do any parties or DJ work with your iOS device and if so which app and accessory is do you use that are the most blind friendly and I hope I’m doing this inquiry correctly. Thank you.

Hi does anyone know of any dj type apps that are accessible? I tried dj2 but got confused with it, so wondering if someone could do a podcast for this app? I would love to know how to use this app properly or if there is anything similar to this one?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, considering, yet again, getting a larger iPad and keyboard to use as a distraction free writing machine. I was wondering if the bug I experienced a couple of years back and have read about since is still present? It's basically that certain, if not all (couldn't test all), keyboard cases from 3rd party manufacturers being closed results in voiceover continuing to talk, IE, not sleeping as it should. I know this was the case with the logitech combo touch which I tried, and think I heard it happened with the Brydge keyboards too.

Hello: Has anyone had trouble with the Do Not Disturb feature in iOS6. I know in Settings, Notifications, you can set the Do Not Disturb feature to be active at certain times. I have set mine to have Do Not Disturb turned on from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. However, I am still getting notifications during these times, and when I check my status bar on top of the iPhone screen, it shows Do Not Disturb as being turned off. Any ideas? Thanks...Scott

OK, quick question on Do Not Disturb and notifications: If you enable Do Not Disturb, will VoiceOver still read notifications if you have them enabled to show on your locked screen?

I have noticed when I use do not disturb with the latest iOS on iPhone 5, sometimes voiceOver will speak alerts for calls. I can't remember if texts are read, I have times where it works just as I expect it, but sometimes when I really don't want to be disturbed, I get the alerts, but no ringtone. Has anybody else experienced this? I am concerned it will do it in a meeting or some other important event.

PSA: Just downloaded Citibank mobile version 7.9.1. The preview still works, so you can check your account balance and view recent transactions. But once you sign in, it has become 100% inaccessible. This is the biggest accessibility regression I have ever seen with any app that I use.

The Internet tells me that when I plug my iPhone 15 into a charger that is 20 W or over I should hear an indicator beside the battery status that my phone is fast charging. I have never had this indicator beside the battery status while I am charging. With my 24 W Belkin charger.
Am I missing something?

Hi all,
I just wanted to illicit some comments from Seeing AI users to the selector for the different programs that is situated at the bottom of the Seeing AI screen. Like similar selectors in other apps I find it difficult to use and to select the required program. I usually find that ittakes me some time to find the program I want. Usually I slide my finger up and down several times before I get anywhere near and then I begin getting really frustrated.

Hello all, I had a question that I was wondering if any of you would know the answer to. We are about to go on a long road trip for Christmas, and I wanted to buy the SD version of a season of a TV show on my iPhone, as it is less expensive and takes up less space. However, I was wondering if this version requires Wi-Fi to watch or if once it's downloaded you can watch it whenever. Any replies are appreciated. Merry Christmas!

That was the day when the Fleksy people had come to us to help them out to test and refine their keyboard, which was supposedly and specifically mentioned that the keyboard was designed for the blind iPhone users. Do you guys also remember that on the initial released the price was $15 for the reason that the blind community was a small market? We all had mixed opinion about it, but it seemed that most of us supported them to stay them on float, right?

Hello,
The subject says it all.
Apple, with its monopoly of getting apps onto the phones of a large percentage of the population, and with its strict aapp admission guidelines, may be part of the cause of the stifling of innovation of apps.
Apps can be so much more than what apple allows in their guidelines, but because of the way you have to get an app approved to ship on a large percentage of existing smartphones, developers do not wish to innovate and develop new apps that function, although they may not meet all of apple's strict guidelines.
discuss?

The subject should be quite clear.
I used for several years Livescore, an app that was absolutely great but the last update broke the compatibility between tennis results and voiceover.
Do you know an app that read results quite well?
For example, I'd like to listen:
6-3, 6-2, 7-5.
Now on Livescore you hear:
7, 6, 6, 5, 2, 3.
And this is a simple example, with tiebreak it is impossible to understand who win the match.
Any ideas?

Now that BSI has been improved for iOS 10, I was wondering whether people still find MBraille useful. Is it worth paying for the full version? Does it still have advantages over BSI?

Out of all of the AI devices I own I would rank siri at the bottom. Siri doesn't sing, can't play games and do other things that other AI devices like Alexa and google can do.
Do you think Siri will ever get an upgrade to be consistant with the other AI devices out there? I would hope so but my hopes aren't too high as it seems like Siri technology is still in the dark ages. You would think with the homepod apple would at least upgrade her so she can be more fun to use.
