iOS and iPadOS

Hello there,

What are your strategies for upgrading to new devices without iTunes on a Mac or PC? I usually come across recommendations to back up to iTunes instead of just iCloud, when transferring everything to a new device.

Recently, I&#0392ve started using Voxer Walky-talky. I&#0392m liking it, so far. I have found an issue when talking to people. When I use the speaker, and double-tap and hold on the talk button, my device&#0392s volume increases a lot. Is any one else experiencing the same problem, and how did they fix it. I&#0392m using an iPad mini with iOs 9.3. Thanks in advance for any help.

For all you diabetics out there, is there any of the diabetes apps you would recommend for keeping track of sugar levels and the like? I have looked at a few of the free ones but they seem fairly unintuitive to use or they are mostly inaccessible.

Hi all. Are there any good diary apps for the I-phone? I'm not looking for a blogging app, but something that lets you keep the entries on your device. I have tried notes, and find that it doesn't work well for keeping a personal diary. I'm looking for an app that lets you change the date and time of entries, can be free or paid, and isn't cluttered with things like location, and pictures.

I have an Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard. I can use it to write a text message, but for some reason I can't use it to write with in the edit field of the chat section of dice world. Has anyone else noticed this issue? I only have this problem in the chat section of dice world. Thank you.

today when i opened diceworld, it told me there was a new version and there was a download button,remind me later button and a ignore button
well i did the download button and it took me to app page for diceworld and i went to where you would tap on the free,install button, and it said open like it would after it was downloaded
i reopened diceworld and went to rate diceworld and it said i had already rated this version
went to the app store to the update tap and see if it was there to update and it was not there

I have an iPhone 8 with the latest update. During this Covid-19 time, my church has a Bible study on Facebook live. When I dictate a comment and tap post, the sound of the video goes away. I discovered that I cannot shut down Facebook and open it again, because the link to the study disappears. On the Live screen there is a "live" button and a "video" button. When I try either one, the sound comes back, but I can't see the comment section. Is there a way to hear and dictate in the same session? Thanks.

Hi! Whenever I'm using dictation, how can I get my iPhone/iPod to enter numbers as digits rather than words? i.e. I say "two" and it enters the word two rather than the number 2. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

hi everyone thanks for your help with my last posts. I don't find the iPhone native dictation feature accurate enough to be useful. so what good alternative apps are there that will allow me to dictate to my iPhone? your help with this question would be grate kind regards trey.

Is it possible to use dictation in iOS to include an emoji in a text message?

I've been experiencing a problem recently when dictating e-mail messages or other items on my iPhone when using VoiceOver.

I am using an iPhone 6 and iOS 9.2.1.

The problem is that as I dictate, VoiceOver is trying to immediately speak back what I have entered. Then the phone hears what VoiceOver is speaking and will insert what it heard into the text.

For example, I will say something like:

"It is a nice day"

and as I am dictating VoiceOver can be heard to say "nice day".

Some of the voice commands no longer work such as "numeral 1", it types out "numeral one" instead of "1" like it did before.

Anyone know what the new command is for that?

When I need to go back and edit something the cursor jumps back to where I left it instead of going to the new place, and it takes several tries to get it to stay where I want it.

And last but not least, when the microphone turns off if I pause for too long, it inserts a tab?!

I don't know where to complain about this to Apple, any suggestions?

I don't know what has caused this situation. Yesterday, I could dictate on Facebook and in text messages. Today, I hear a sound when I enter an edit field but a two finger double tap does nothing. In fact, when in message composition, I don't even see the keyboard. I haven't done anything to change this procedure. Installing my new Focus 40 braille display and pairing it with Bluetooth is the only thing I have done iOS related. I did download new app store updates but that should not have changed anything. I have the latest iOS 13 update installed. Any suggestions?

As you can see my by my posts are used dictation.
The unfortunate thing is, dictation doesn’t understand me.
It’s sad, and Apple really needs to improve on dictation.
It understands English quite clearly, and I do speak English, very well.
What is going on, dictation is going terrible and terrible every single day.
