Folks, to remove an album from the music app on your iOS device running iOS 5.x, double tap and hold, then while holding swipe to the right. The trick is to swipe as soon as you hear the tri tone. Then double tap on the confirmation. Works every time for me at least.

when I double touch the screen to put any app in the editing mode to delete it, It doesn't work.
is it just my problem? or It's a common, and how can I work around it?
I don't know why Apple still neglects some silly mistakes like this in addition to the bug of not opening the mail attachments

Hi. When I try to delete app data within the manage my storage area! I can't seem to delete app data. Even when the screen within each app shows that I have deleted the app data! I still see that it hasn't succeeded with the task when I return to the list of apps that show you how much space they are taking up. For example.! My Audio Boom app is taking up around 200mb of space and 130mb is made up of the extra cash it's accumulated and swiping up on app data gives you a choice to delete app app data and voiceover tells me that I've deleted it.

Hi All, This is my first posting so apologies if this is in the wrong area. Just made an interesting discovery which I thought I'd share. I've only been using IOS for over a year with VoiceOver so this maybe something widely known. However just in case not. Deleting any non Apple apps I always found a pain. Had to do it via the settings_storage route.

Hi: I have a question regarding deleting apps from the app store. I have an IPhone 4S running the latest IOS. When I open the app store on my phone and go to the update page I tap on the purchased heading and all of the apps I have ever donwloaded come up. I have an app that I can't seem to delete. I double tap and hold. Then double tap again which before would say something like, "Delete such and such app", and then I would get the, "Deleting this app will, etc." Then I could double tap OK or cancel and it would be gone. Doesn't seem to be working. I re-started my phone and still can't get rid of my no longer wanted app. Thanks for any suggestions.

Recently I upgraded my iPhone. I want to delete all my apps off of the old phone. Will deleting the apps off the old phone mess up my new phone? I have several games going that I can play on either phone. I don't want to mess up these games. I know how to delete an app using the double tap and hold method. Is there another method I should use?

I want to delete some apps off my iPhone as I don't use them. I often find myself in "arrange aps" mode without knowing how I did it and have managed to delete a few that way, but it would be very helpful to know either how to get into that arrange apps mode properly rather than by sheer fluke or another way of deleting apps off my phone, preferably without having to use the iTunes web site as I find that near impossible to understand what's going on! Please help! I'm getting very frustrated with this problem that I can't solve. I'm fine with deleting songs (files) from I tunes but I'm having great difficulty in deleting books from it. I can see four books when I highlight books in my list i.e. music, audio books, TV programmes, films etc. However, when JAWS reads a name of a book, I don't know what to do next in order to delete the book. The file menu grey's out delete and when I highlight the book with the space bar and controll keys and use the delete key on my Windows lap top, nothing happens.

Hello all,
I have asked this question before but still slightly baffled by the procedure for deleting books from the Audible IOS app. I have approximately 30 books currently on my Audible app with 10 or so already read. The books appear to be in 'the cloud' but I am still having some trouble deleting these ones from the list of books. I can 'see' that the ones I have read say '100 percent complete' below the book but I can't seem to be able to delete them from the app without going to my Audible library on the web based site.

I know the iOS mail app does not allow you to delete a full mail folder such as your inbox.

Thanks, Marco, this also worked. I appreciate your help, as well as the help from Bahzad. Any tips on adding contacts? I seem to hear voiceover change voices as I navigate the different contact screens. It seems like VO will read a button, then the voice will change slightly. I have turned off the compact voices in the VO settings. I will still keep plugging away. I am determined to master this!

Hi. I feel really embarrassed about asking this question. But I'm trying to delete a contact on my iPhone. I selected the edit contact button, but I couldn't find the button that says delete contact. Does anyone know where that button may be?
I hardly ever have to delete contacts, so maybe I'm doing something wrong?
