Hello to you all. I'm in the want for a case for my phone that fits on my arm this way I don't need to hold the phone while using my cane and I can run, or walk or what not and still take video and stuff. I want the case though to have a tight fit this way if I'm running the phone won't slip off my hand. I've never heard of these until last year so am curious as to how these work. I also want to still be able to use the phone in said case, if I need to of corse.
I am in search for a stand-alone bluetooth keyboard to use with my iPhone. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was considering the Microsoft keyboard, but I am not sure this would work with using VoiceOver commands. I would obviously like something that is comfortable to use for typing such as a standard size keyboard although I do not need a number pad. Thank you for your recommendations.
I am currently searching for either a lanyard or a chest mount for my iPhone 14 Pro with an Otterbox Symmetry clear case. I am looking for this to be able to use my phone while traveling abroad, including through airports, and using apps like AIRA or Be My Eyes. From what I am reading, it appears that a chest mount would be more secure than a lanyard, so Iām actually looking more at that.
Would any of you have any suggestions? If so, could you please provide a direct link to them?
Hello everyone, I'm looking for a charger for my 14 inch MacBook Pro. The charger that comes from Apple is way too large, I need something the size of the old iPhone USB chargers, or at maximum the charger that comes with the MacBook Air. Neither of those chargers provides nearly enough wattage for the MacBook Pro, does someone know a 100 W charger that fits into that form factor?
I wasn't sure whether to put this request here or in the apps section but. Since the drives are hardware/accessories, I thought I'd start here. Currently I carry my Victor Stream to play music on my SD cards. I'm wondering if it would be anymore portable or feasible to have an SD card drive to hook to the iPhone? I recently learned the drives have to come with accessible apps to be usable. After I'm done writing this message, i'll do a search on the site for SD Cards, but in case anyone has any recent successes/recommendations, I'd like to hear from you. thank you.
Looking for scanner recommendation.
My CanoScan LiDE 110 has not been compatible with the last two releases of the MAC os. I am looking for recommendations on a portable standalone flatbed scanner. Do any of you have any recommendations?
Thanks for any ideas.
Someone on this list recommended a Choetech wireless charger a few years ago. I have one and love it for charging my Airpods and iPhone at the same time. The price was right and it works great.
My wife is now looking for a wireless charger, but the charger I have no longer seems to be available.
So I'm looking for suggestions and recommendations.for a wireless charger for my wife.
Looking for wireless extender/repeater. What should I be looking for in this device. I really want to extend my wireless connection at least 30 feet.
Thank you for any suggestions.
Hi all. I'm looking to purchease a fit bit. What ones are accessable to set up? Which apps for fit bit have the most accessability?Overall, what fit bit is accessable in general to use, and what one would you recommend?I have an IPhone Se running the latest IOS. I saw a fit bit flex on amazon, but I don't want to buy one until I have some feedback. So any suggestions or information is welcome.
The subject says it all. I want to buy an apple watch to replace my fitbit ace two. The fitbit does work by using the fitbit app, but the bands keep breaking on me. Also, I want to track things like my sleep and steps without having to sync a device to my phone every day. What version of the apple watch would you suggest I buy? I don't want the watch to have cellular, as I plan to use it more as a fitness tracker than to make phone calls. Plus, having the watch with cellular would mean I have to add a second line on to my plan, wich is something I can't do right now.
Insert yet another oh no, what should I buy post, and I apologize. But this is a large potential purchase, or at the very least monthly payment, and I want to make sure all my ducks are in a row and I don't make a worse choice.
So I'm currently rocking a Pixel 6 pro. I'm looking to move to Apple. My experience with Android watches was pretty abismal, though, so I have no real benchmarks to go on. I'm in that quandary of what to get, though.
I am currently using a MacBook Air M1 and have been using a MacBook for the past ten years. Up until recently, I would have, and , indeed, have, heartily recommended a Mac to blind users. I currently co-facilitate a Mac Users group for blind people in Canada. The reason that I say "until recently" is that the many comments from people experiencing serious issues with their Macs have given me some pause for thought. Personally, I have not encountered the "Safari Not Responding" issue in a serious way.
Hey voiceOver community
I am having some issue with the low battery alerts in an iPhone 14 Pro Max
Let me tell that I have the low battery mode toggle Off
Running the later iOS version 16.5 however in reality not matter what iOS version was running always has been the same issue.
The low battery alerts never has sound in this device.
in case some of you are asking what kind of battery alerts I am talking about is those alerts when the device reach 20 or 10% remaining
Hi,
I'm thinking of getting an M;1 mac mini, but can I use it comfortably without a monitor, or will safari and music be busy busy busy constantly? I see the mac minis are cheaper than the macbook airs, and it has the space for the periferals that I need. But I don't have a display, and I have no need for a display, so is the m;1 mac mini a viable option?
Thanks
Looks like Christmas is coming early this year. I just pre-ordered the new Mac Mini with the M4 pro chip. I also ordered Air Pods Pro 2 as a replacement for my 8-year-old Costco hearing aids.
A friend is contemplating upgrading from his 2017 MacBook Air to a model in the M2 lineup. As a frequent traveler often without access to a power source, he finds himself at a crossroads between the M2 Air 13 and M2 Air 15. The M2 Air 13 boasts a 52WH battery, whereas the 15 comes with a larger 66WH battery. Given his consistent practice of activating the screen curtain and maintaining a display brightness of zero, he's pondering whether choosing the 15-inch model would yield prolonged battery life.
Hi all,
I'm looking for a laptop, and I'm thinking about switching to a Mac.
I plan on using it to browse the web, send email, and do word processing. I also plan on running windows from time to time in a vm.
A friend of mine is insisting that I should go with the mac book pro, but I don't see why I would need a quad core machine for what I plan to do.
What are your thoughts on this?
Aloha,
I need to find a portable hd magnification/camera, ideally in hd, on a stand that uses a separate monitor (macbook pro or iMac). Distance application of camera is optional, as is OCR. OCR would be greatly helpful.
Mahalo for your assistance.
Hi all. It seems my eight year old Mac, is asking to go to the recycling bin in the sky. It's now up to me to find another one. Here are my requirements, something not the latest, but able to hold up to the next few Os versions. I'd absolutely love a ssd. I'm thinking of going with a 256 but that's probably as high as my bedget would allow. I don't care so much about ram, processor speed that type of stuff. Has anyone bought a referbished Mac of any configuration and macbook pro air etc?
